brittany answered Thursday May 6 2004, 8:56 pm: yes' but ask your doctor just in case. I know my brother, by asadent my mother cut a little of his finger, and when the stiches faded,/ all gone he was in water. Make sure you'll ask your docter, first, and make sure it's perfectly healed BYE........ [ brittany's advice column | Ask brittany A Question ]
Moop answered Thursday May 6 2004, 8:15 pm: probably not. A boy in my PE class had a broken finger once and he had to wear a plastic bag duct-taped to his hand to keep the splint dry. I was lucky, swimming was done for when I broke mine. Depending on the severity of the injury it can go either way. Ask a doctor. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
advice~gurl answered Thursday May 6 2004, 3:53 pm: Well... yes you can swim but I wouldn't want to swim in a pool when you have some sort of injury.
Take it from me, every time i swim in a pool I always get sick afterwards. They'er is always a chance that someone has peed or bactiria.
You really should ask your Doctor instead of us advicenators becasue he may say yea or no. but not matter what I would reconsider swiming until your finger is healed.
jbdreamer answered Thursday May 6 2004, 1:02 pm: I would deffinetly not recommened it. Pools are full of nasty bacteria, you don't want that getting into your stiches and causing an infection. Talk to your doctor if your unsure, but I wouldn't risk it. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
Cspinoza1 answered Thursday May 6 2004, 12:13 pm: Yes, you just have to be careful not to bend your finger to much, and don't make rough movements or swim to fast or they will rip, trust me I did that when I had stiches on my hand.
