Here-To-Help answered Saturday April 17 2004, 1:46 am: Well, let's see....
Before you get your first period, you may feel stomach sick...but it's really nothing to worry about.
Usually you get your first period while you're sleeping..and you just wake up with it.
It doesn't hurt at all...it actually just feels like you had an accident (went pee-pee in your pants in other words)hehe
*sigh* Having your period sucks! I WAS ALWAYS SO PARANOID ABOUT IT! But...you get used to it...and I hardly get any bad cramps myself *knock on wood* but it's different for other people...
Different people feel different ways.

It feels squishy down south when it happens. You might not notice it aat first...it took me a few periods to finally feel the difference.
It's a bit annoying...if you think about it too much, you'll find yourself in the girls room looking at your behind to see if there is a red spot. Unless you have dark pants. I use always...and it works. But you hvae to change your pad in the middle of the day. After the first three days, for me at least, less of it comes out.
It used to hurt AFTER I had my period. But there are pills so that the pain will disapper. I only took them for a few days (I'm not great at swallowing pills), and since then I have been pain free.
koshii answered Friday March 26 2004, 4:23 pm: It hurts. For the love of all the gods, it hurts like no pain you have ever experienced in your life. I would get really friendly with Midol Cramp and Pepto-Bismol if it were you. Check my column for a recent answer to someone who had a very similar question. endilwen answered Friday March 26 2004, 10:58 am: I had my first period when i was 8, and I'm 18 now. Periods can give you slight pain - i often get pain at the beginning of my period, in the stomach, back and knees. My joints also get stiff, but it's nothing that a few painkillers doesn't cure. After the initial start of my period, i don't really notice it. It used to feel uncomfortable for a few days when i was younger, but it's fine now. Everyone's different, but periods are definately nothing to worry about, every girl gets them and lives through them. [ endilwen's advice column | Ask endilwen A Question ]
Siren_Cytherea answered Thursday March 25 2004, 8:37 pm: Well the only part that might hurt is the "side-effects," such as cramps. Some people get them, some don't. Some people get migranes (headaches), or other things. It's pretty much a nuissance and that's it. =)
