okay, this guy likes me (im pretty sure) and i want him to ask me out, but hes too shy, obviously, so how do i get him to ask me out soon?

Ask him out yourself. Obviously, if he's really shy, you won't get him to ask you out soon. Perhaps you have to be the daring one in this situation and be the first to make a move. This shows that you like him too, and you are committed to the relationship. Why not ask him if he wants to go see a movie over the weekend? That way you won't make him feel awkward if he doesn't like you, because you could go as friends, but since you think he does like you, he'll definitly accept and then maybe he'll work up the nerve to ask you to be his girlfriend. (I'm not sure what "going out" means to you, but I think it's a little different than dating sometimes)

What I did was just show the signals really big so he is for sure that you like him. Also you could hang around him a lot. Just a suggestion.

You don't. You take everything into your own hands and make the first move. If he is too shy or wireded out by a girl making the first move then he doesn't merit your attentions.

Start with small conversation, like randomly bump into him( Not physically, you know what I mean). Talk a little bit ask what he is doing this weekend, imply your free and if he doesn't ask you, ask him if you want to get together. Most people have a hard time saying Will you go on a date with me? SO ask do you want to do something this weekend? If he replies yes give him your number, and if you can write it on his hand because then he has no excuse not to call.
