Cocoabean24/7 answered Sunday January 18 2004, 12:39 am: Well, your nose is connected to your mouth. All mucus is boogers going through your nose and out your mouth it also is a mixter of milk too (if you drink milk). So either stop sniffing constly or sit up straight. So instead of it going down into your mouth it doesn't drip down. [ Cocoabean24/7's advice column | Ask Cocoabean24/7 A Question ]

OneMan answered Friday January 16 2004, 5:57 pm: The fact that it's green is indicative of an infection which calls for antibitotics.I don't know how much you weigh or if you have any known drug allergies, so this may vary. My suggestion would be the following:
Guaifenesin 250-500 mgs, p.o. ( either tablets or syrup ), bid x 4 days. If you have a family practitioner, ask him/her. [ OneMan's advice column | Ask OneMan A Question ]
DruidX answered Friday January 16 2004, 12:22 pm: First off, do you have a chesty cough, or asthma? Do you have a cold? If the answer to any of those was 'yes', I suggest you get yourself to a doctor. You may have a chest or nasle infection which you can be given antibiotics for. In the mean time take a decongestant like mucron or sinutab [warning , these also contain parectimol], and keep some tissue at hand.
Hope you get better soon :)
metawidget answered Friday January 16 2004, 11:39 am: My aunt swears by reducing the amount of milk products you consume while you're sick... and hot, clear beverages like tea or mulled cider, or acidic stuff like orange juice will make it feel better and maybe cut down on the mucus too. koshii answered Friday January 16 2004, 10:51 am: Well, you could try throwing out the cup. That would get rid of it.
However, you would be back in eleven minutes complaining that the spitting has not stopped. I will save myself the carpal tunnel by assuming that you don't want to swallow it. That leaves decongestants such as suphedrine, hot green tea, steamy showers and just putting up with it. Pick your poison. [ koshii's advice column | Ask koshii A Question ]
notnormal answered Friday January 16 2004, 10:45 am: I would spit it out in a kleenex and throw it away instead of looking at it and getting grossed out.
Drink plenty of fluids, eat healthy, get enough sleep, and it will probably go away in a few days. If it doesn't then go to a doctor.
It is better that it is green than yellow. Green is an infection but may clear up without antibiotics. If it was yellow, I would say go to the doctor now. [ notnormal's advice column | Ask notnormal A Question ]
pRiNcEzLaDyD answered Friday January 16 2004, 10:44 am: when u say constantly how constant do u really mean? a week a few weeks , a month , six months be more specific.Do u smoke, if so then that may be the cause. green is not a good color it indicates infection.
u should go to the doctor it could be serious. maybe its a respiratory infection. there are other possibilities. please get it checked out. and if u can let me know how it turns out . i hope u get better. [ pRiNcEzLaDyD's advice column | Ask pRiNcEzLaDyD A Question ]
chaos answered Friday January 16 2004, 10:27 am: You are probably getting over a cold. The only thing that may help is if you go to the doctor for some antibiotics because it is probably an infection. [ chaos's advice column | Ask chaos A Question ]
