How can I get my plastic glow in the dark stars to stay on my ceiling? That puddy stuff they give you just doesn't seem to be working and if I don't do something fast someone could lose an eye.
browneyes answered Friday January 16 2004, 10:46 pm: try getting some velcro tape.. or just regular packing tape to tape them up with.. another cool thing is to poke a hole in them and run a piece of string through and let them hang at different heights.. it gives it more of a 3 d effect [ browneyes's advice column | Ask browneyes A Question ]
Deanimal answered Sunday December 21 2003, 3:21 pm: It depends on what you are willing to use. There's super-glue, different sticky tack, elmers, thumb tacks, nails, and our old friend spit. [ Deanimal's advice column | Ask Deanimal A Question ]
Trueflight answered Wednesday December 3 2003, 9:07 pm: I suggest art gum... the stuff you hang paintings with. Any strong tape should work on smooth ceilings, though... and white glue will stick without ruining the ceiling (if you're worried about that). Celena answered Wednesday December 3 2003, 4:02 pm: First of all, you need to fix this problem quickly, because right after crazy men in dark alleys who jump out with knives and stab your eyes out, plastic ceiling stars are THE leading cause of vision loss amoung American Youth today. (Well, that and over exposure to Christina Augulera's growing stomach)
However, my suggestion to you is, it's time for you to return to the basics. That is, it's time for you to head down to your local Wal-mart and purchase an all-time American Classic. That's right. Duct tape. Not only will it keep those pesky stars from puncturing your aorta whilst you sleep, but you can also use it to fix just about anything, from leaky pipes to annoying younger siblings.
metawidget answered Tuesday December 2 2003, 8:27 pm: punch holes in them and string them out on butcher's string or fishing line (strung between non-electricity-bearing anchors such as curtain rods or tacks in the mouldings)... no reduced-stickiness problems then! PixieTwist answered Tuesday December 2 2003, 8:11 pm: First of all, do you have a stucco ceiling (the bumpy kind) or a smooth one? Glue (not school glue, something a tad more potent) would work for a smooth one (a glue gun might work for bumpy ceilings as well), and tape (duct tape is THE ultimate adhesive) would work on both. If ALL else fails, buy the industrial glue that you have to squeeze out of a huge tube (its kind of like caulking), and that should work. [ PixieTwist's advice column | Ask PixieTwist A Question ]
