first aid I'm going on a three day camping trip and want to pack a first aid kit, but it's gotta be really small. What are some of the more important things for me to carry? I really don't get injured much so I'm not that worried, it's mostly that everyone around me is like "you GOTTA have a first aid kit" and all that.

I agree with the red cross kit. But survival wise: Bring a SHARP knife. Be sure its secure.
There are so many things it can help you do, including saving your life. ]
band aids, gauze, some kind of disanfectant, alchol(non-grainular), neosporin, cell phone. ]
The standard band-aids and neosporin, along with gauze and medical tape are a must. Get the kind of medical tape that's easy-tear so you don't have to bring scissors. A small bottle of hydrogen peroxide and some cotton squares would be good. I also reccommend bringing a pair of latex gloves in case of some injury including lots of blood. You may not get injured that bad, but maybe someone around you will. And wearing gloves helps to avoid the transfer of bloodbourne pathogens.
Here's what's included in my first aid kit (it's an American Red Cross Lifeguard kit) a rescue sheet (in case of shock or if you get lost it reflects light and radar), a triangular bandage, sunscreen, bandaids, gauze, smelling salts, medical tape, latex gloves, and a supplementary oxygen-ready pocket mask. The Red Cross sells several sizes and varieties of first aid kits, so I strongly suggest you head over to your local chapter and buy one there. ]
Well, if you need it to be tiny and don't hurt yourself much, I would suggest taking your basic bandaids, gauze, medical tape, disinfectant soap )Purell makes an excellent hand soap, very small and carryable)and some chlorine tablets for purifying water (if needed). Nothing fancy, nothing space-consuming, you know. ]
Gauze, ace bandage, band-aids, anti-bacterial ointment, peroxide. That makes up a pretty descent first aid kit... oh and aspirin… that is pretty small in size… makes for a good little first aid kit just in case you need it… I wouldn’t take any less than that ]
In addition to the stuff in the first answer: burn cream (Ozonol or some such -- this may well be the heaviest item in your kit), tweezers (for splinters), disinfectant swabs (come in nice little packets, like restaurant wipes) and a first aid manual. A small bottle of ASA (Aspirin) or Acetaminophen (Tylenol) might be handy and can take you from miserable to passable in certain situations. This and the bandages from the first answer can all be stuffed into a space roughly equivalent to an extra pair of warm, dry socks (which you should always carry)... ]
Well, had you stated where you were camping, that would help decide what you might need to consider.
In general, though, take bandaids, one or two ace bandages, some sterile gauze, and tape. Benadryl is always handy (especially for treating allergic reactions to insect bites). Being that at least in the northern hemisphere, we're nearing the colder seasons, a lightweight thermal blanket (one of those crazy looking foil jobbies) would be good to take as well.
And the people around you are right: you MUST take a first aid kit... you cannot rely on "I really don't get injured much", because it is the freak accident that you don't plan on that will really cause life to suck. You're always better safe that sorry. ]
