my favorite shoes I like to run around town in my favorite running shoes, not wearing socks. This is cool because it's relaxing, but not cool because my shoes smell like the living dead. I really, really don't want to wear socks, so besides that, what can I do to cure these things?

Get that spray for foot odor or get a new pair of sneaks.. or just wear socks i understand that you dont like socks.. but thats another solution.. unless your real attached to them sneakers get identicle ones!! hope you find a way for that stench! good luck! trix ]
"cedar socks"
They sell them in shoe stores. They are cedar in a fabric tube. Roll it between your hands to activate and stick in shoe, then place in cool dry place for 24 hours before wearing again.
EVERY time.
Make your own by getting cedar cage lining for hamster cages and some tube socks. Pour cage cedar into tube sock, tie off/sew closed. Same as above. ]
Litter. The kind for a cat,you put it in a little cloth and roll it into a ball. Stick it in the shoe over night.I read it in a magazine. ]
Ya, i have this problem too. my feet smell. bad. REAL BAD. so i cant take them off in the car after school, 'cause i dont want my mom to faint and get in an accident. ]
You can put baking soda in them overnite and then shake it out
but DONT DO THIS to leather shoes. it'll stick and then it'll be gooey and gross and the smell will stay the same. ]
Well, you can throw them in the wash, as silly as that sounds... you can also buy those aroma-ball things (get them at sports stores), those are pretty spiff. Just remember to take them out of the shoes before you try to put your feet in.
You could also try to sell your current pair on the black market as chemical weapons, and use the profits to buy lots more shoes. ]
Ever hear of Odor Eaters? You could also try washing then, running shoes can go into the washer, anti odor foot powder. All those will help eliminate the smell, also wash your feet lol... ]
Not being a runner, I don't have much experience in the area of running in shoes without socks, but I can tell you from the perspective of a kid who hated gym class, running was my least favorite part. Still, wearing socks helped not only because of the stench of sweat, but also to keep my heels from getting blisters.
Still, if you're adamant about running without socks, I suggest you go to a retail store, such as Walgreens, and purchase one of their shoe products dealing with smell. Seriously, there are such things in existence and they usually do wonders.
Ultimately, though, if your stinky sneakers are causing your life more problems (loss of friends, death of innocent bystanders, etc.) you might want to consider tossing them out and starting over with a new pair of shoes--and socks. ]
baking soda works well. dump some in, and whack the shoes to spread it around. dump out the excess, and your shoes will magically smell better. this also works well for those fabric watchbands...
you could also wear socks. if you're concerned with the appearance of socks, you can purchase socks with really low tops. there are also really thin socks that you might find comfortable. but you really, really don't want to wear socks. you could throw away your smelly shoes and buy a new pair every time you run. that would kind of suck, though. ]
