The Sims 2

I got the Sims 2 for Christmas but I'm not allowed to install it onto the computer. My dad's convinced that it will slow the computer down beyond use and basically screw the whole thing up so he has to go pay for it to be wiped.
Is there anyway I can reduce the space it takes up, or the memory it uses, or anything like that so that it installing and using the game doesn't have a detrimental effect on the computer?
All suggestions appreciated, and useful ones will be rated high!

LONG STORY!!!!SORRY
I'm 16 and recently went back to work at the restaurant I worked at the previous summer. I was surprised to find out that J., 20, had started to work there on the same day that I came back. We worked together last summer, I had no strong feelings for him this way or that.

My friend Kim is really down because her mom just found out that she has cancer. I had her over to my house to make her feel better, but I don't think it helped that much. I don't know what else to do to make her feel better. What should I do?

well i have my period i know it SUCKS..especially that im on break..and its like suuper heavy im not even kidding its the worst its ever been..and i wear like pads because tampons = no for me ..i have reasoning but i dont really want to like list all of them so PLEASE dont suggest that..well i havent done anything over break because i have to go to the bathroom like every 10 minutes since my period is SO heavy..it feels so gross =( what do i do? ugh this sucks! i am even on birth control to try and like make my periods less heavy..but i dont know! any suggestions? i will rate high!!

lately i've just been hanging out, not really going out of the house or anything. it's kind of like my "me" time, you know, so I can unwind and have some quiet time.
lately though, my parents become so obsessed and think that i have no social life, don't want to do anything with my friends anymore, and am depressed. i try to explain to them that it's just nice to spend some time ALONE sometimes but they just don't get it! how can i convince them that all i want is some time to myself, and for them to get out of my face about it?

looking for a college

I am looking for a school in which I can major in both theater & education. I think I want to go into teaching theatre. I want to stay in the East I think, unless there's some really good school for it. I live in CT and I don't mind being a good few hours away, but I don't really want to be across the country. I am a fairly good student...B+ average. Any ideas for a good school that would offer theatre education specifically?

hey guys i REALLY need help! i just bought the sims 2 for pc and when i was just about to playit, that white sims 2 box at the beginning showed up, and then i got a box that popped up that says: "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a Directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer."
Please help how can i fix this? Easy 5!

when my boyfriend puts a condom on it takes a long time..and one time i did it for him and it was really hard to put on like "really tight" does it mean the condom was tooo small for him? cuz i thought it is suppose to smoothly roll down an erect penis? can someone tell me how it is when they either put on a condom or if they have done it for someone else? like how it is...

Okay yesterday I asked for help on this kid..who I decided to (on here..) call him A.
I asked him who he would ask out, if he had to pick and he said a girl who we will call E. She was going out with this kid who we will call P. So I knew A had no chance with E becuase E was with P. So..I just now found out E and P broke up. Now I'm scared that A is going to ask out E and it will make me miserable ..who KNOWS how long they will last!! Me and A reallyyy have something going on, he told me he loved me and that I was the second person he would ask out out of anyone. I love him back of course!!

Feel So Alone.

Let me start here. Before my friend moved here, I didn't have any friends of any kind. My parents were constantly argueing and fighting. I would lock myself in my room for 3-4 hours at a time and turn off the lights and just sit there. Read a boring book or try to do something that would make me a little happier. I don't and didn't do any sports. So then I started wearing black clothes. Then I got into rock and punk music for some unknown reason. I would Cry for no reason untill this girl who is now my friend moved here. Me and her became good friends. We had alot in common. Now I found out that she's moving thousands of Mile's away. I don't want the same thing wrong with me. I can't make any new friends cause I can't trust anyone.. Please Help.
