Question Posted Wednesday December 28 2005, 2:54 pm
lately i've just been hanging out, not really going out of the house or anything. it's kind of like my "me" time, you know, so I can unwind and have some quiet time.
lately though, my parents become so obsessed and think that i have no social life, don't want to do anything with my friends anymore, and am depressed. i try to explain to them that it's just nice to spend some time ALONE sometimes but they just don't get it! how can i convince them that all i want is some time to myself, and for them to get out of my face about it?

I Have the same problem! I like to have some alone time with myself and all my parents do is ask stupid questions like "Are you okay?" or "Whats wron with you??" or "What are you puffed up about?" And Even when you tell them its like talking to a concrete wall! They don't listin and then if they catch a little its like they make it a big deal. There is no way to get them to shut up. Trust me. What I did was just say "Mom I have a head ache and I need some time by myself and maybe finish a little homework."
