do i need birth control??

OK, I have this really irregular period. I have had it for 6 years, it's normally regular, but for the past week my period has been acting strange. It's so light that it discharges just a couple times a day, then stops. Process repeats for a few days then it stops for 2 or 3 days straight. Then comes back.
My regular period only lasts between 5-7 days and it's usually heavy. And my irregular period has became so irregular that it's like a random occurance and it's bugging me!!
So my parents were discussing a visit to the gynocologist. My question is, should I be recommended birth control in this situation?

I've dated this guy Mike, He was my first real boyfriend.In the start of our relationship, He was a totally sweet guy. after we dated for about 2years, I started to realize he wasen't "mr. amazing" for me. He started to addicted to drugs and started to get snobby with me. I broke it off, I'm a major drug-free person. I had to grow up in a drug filled family, I can't take having a boyfriend with those problems. After about 2months I met this guy Aaron He's a little older then me, He's got a good head on his shoulders. Not to mention he's amazingly sweet. He's currently my boyfriend, But I haven't told him about Mike, he's asked about past relationships I told him, they werent important. Some of feels like I'm not ready to move on. ...

i am 17 years old, and is a female. i've been best friends with a girl for 6 years. she always been the "diva" in our friendship,and what i mean by that is that she takes all of my self esteem when she tells me that i can never get good grades or be as cute as her .even though she plays around like that it hurts. recently i've borrowed 35 dollars from her because she wanted me to go somewhere with her, she told me that i had to pay her back on june 2. since i didn't have a job and my mom couldn/t afford to give her the money, i couldn't tell her that i was poor because then she would brag about it and make fun of me and even tell my other fiends. so i hesitated to give her the money. i would tell her lies like i forgot or iam bab...

my brother has this thing that he has to be better than me in everything i do. for example we were in a arcade and they had that basketball game where u shoot the balls and i got a higher score than he did and he didnt show it but i knew that it bothered him that i beat him in basketball.. even hate home when we are playin like horse or something he gets mad when i keep gettin them in and he keeps missing also i have been hip hop dancing for 6 years and my bro always has to try and show off dance moves in front of me even tho he cant dance that good and he's like ha i bet you cant do that and i just play dumb and say no i cant do that.. i mean its soo annoying that he has to compete in everything i can do... what should i do i mean its so d...

One of my friends killed herself about 9 months ago, and I'm over it already and everything, but last night I had a terrible terrible dream where we were in a pool together and all of the sudden I ripped her hair out and started hitting her and trying to drown her. It has been haunting me all day, and making me feel guilty, and like she's mad at me for having the dream. It's making me feel so bad. Could this dream mean anything? Is she mad at me for having it? How can I not feel so bad about it. Should I feel bad?

me + my friends love hanging out on like weekend nights and we usually go 2 the movies or some1s house or the mall or the football games or something. but those places get boring after a while. does anyone have any ideas about other places we could go?? like.. places that we could go wen there is girls + boys.

Does alcohol decrease the effectiveness of birth control? Also, if you forget to take one of your birth control pills one day, how many days should you wait to have sex before it gains it's full effectiveness and is back on track again? Thanks.

ok so homecoming is coming up
but like my boyfriend goes to a diff. high school than i do.. so i dont know what i should do.. because if he went 2 my homecoming it would be really weird because he doesnt know ne of my friends but like my friends know about him and they would like be annoying me the whole night.. especially my guy friends. but then if i went to his.. it would be weird too. i know a bunch of his friends but like all the girls hes friends with hate me { even tho i dont even know them } just because im going out w/ one of their friends and im from a diff. school. i really dont get it.

I have really sweaty hands. Its so embarrasing. And its really bad. Is there any way to stop it? I hate it cause it really gross, like i never like to touch anyone or hold hand with boys and stuff cause i feel embarresed by it. What can i do!? If anything.
