MissKass answered Wednesday May 26 2004, 5:01 pm: If you're having fun, I say dance however you want to. But if you really want to dance 'well', dancing lessons aren't terrible.
Unless you're being harassed over your dancing, or just really want to learn to dance, I say dance how you do. It makes you more of an individual, ne? [ MissKass's advice column | Ask MissKass A Question ]
OneMan answered Monday December 22 2003, 5:46 pm: You're asking for the wrong reasons.I, as many people do, dance because they enjoy it, it feels good to them and makes them happy. Believe me, I've seen HUNDREDS of people who " can't dance". They do anyway, and if they don't make a big deal about not being able to dance, most other people don't, either. So, I say...get out and cut a rug. As for dancing lessons...if it would please YOU, then take them. Don't do it because of what other people will think if you don't. Belgand answered Monday October 20 2003, 3:06 am: Depending on your situation taking dance lessons can be a great thing to do. If you're in college or have access to more or less free (or very cheap) lessons I definitely suggest you take advantage of it. It's very romantic when someone knows how to dance well and one of those incredibly cool skills that you can use for the rest of your life to impress people and have fun. SparklyStar answered Wednesday October 8 2003, 7:31 pm: Dance and look stupid! I can't dance at all, yet I have so much fun with my friends at dances and those kinds of things. If you are afraid of looking stupid when you dance, surround yourself with some close friends who will laugh with you, not at you. They'll probably dance stupid too. It's just more fund to pretend to know how to dance. :) [ SparklyStar's advice column | Ask SparklyStar A Question ]
Gealach answered Tuesday October 7 2003, 12:21 am: Hmmm, i'd have to say, dance! take lessons if u really want to, or if u got the extra cash. but if you're comfortable with yourself then i say to dance. it's not like many people these days do any real structured dances...it's more like moving to the beat and so on...maybe take a friend and have him/her teach u. or you could do the whole lessons thing, but dont let the fact that you think you look "stupid" when u dance keep you from dancing! dance away ;) [ Gealach's advice column | Ask Gealach A Question ]
Invisible_Kate answered Sunday October 5 2003, 11:03 am: Just dance and try to have fun. I think its better to enjoy yourself and maybe look a bit silly than to miss out. I can't tell when other people don't know what they're doing, because I can't really dance myself. But I still do and its worth it. [ Invisible_Kate's advice column | Ask Invisible_Kate A Question ]
chocolatenutbar answered Saturday October 4 2003, 10:19 pm: Do your own thing! It doesn't matter if people are laughing at you (take it from another bad dancer, if you're having fun, it doesn't matter). All that matters is that you're having fun. Heck, if you dance really bad, just make your dances a big joke. For a while, my dance skills were so bad that I just laughed and disco-ed. Besides, there's an old proverb that says "If you can talk, you can sing, if you can walk, you can dance." Just take that to heart!
