in the fall i'm thinking of doing xc.
i'm starting to train by either running or bike riding each day. also doing lunges, planks, and squats eachday for 2 minutes each.
if anyone knows what xc is like... could you tell me your expierences...that'd be great!

Hey!!
Well Cross Country you run 1.5-3.1 miles (at some schools in New York) Its muddy, tough and f u n!! Me and my sister both run and we try to get at least 3 miles in each day. So 2 in the morning (when its cooler, especially in summer) and like 1 after dinner or before bed. Its a great way to get in shape. We also do ab work outs and push ups. Lunges and planks are great, so are squats. You should also do push ups, sit ups and keep running. I think you're off to a great start

I've been cleaning my laptop over the last two days, and my keys are all sticky (not sure why :p) and also underneath the keys is disgusting. Would it be safe to pull them off, carefully, clean it, and then put them back? (link)

Yeah thats safe. I think theres keyboard cleaner... but if its just dust and like chip crumbs or whatever, then like a regular dry, clean rag or paper towel would work fine.

is it possible to make a password when someone tries to open a word document? because i write word documents i would rather not have anyone else see and other people use my computer, so i was wondering if it was possible for me to create a password for opening it so that no one can see it but me. i actually know it is possible, so please put step by step instructions on how to create a password if anyone knows. i have 'Microsoft Office Word 2007' and my computer is an hp notebook(laptop) (link)

I think if you File;;save as then click options to the right. Enter a password and then okay or save, something like that i'm not sure about that but i think you're good like that

I agree with Laugh Out Loud x0x, youshouldnt whine about it... tell them why you want it and don't just say because everyone else does. Explain that you;re old and mature enough to dye your hair and have considered the consequences (I dont know what the consequences would be but it makes you sound mature haha)

so ive asked questions on here before about my stepmom and family sit or whatever but here I am again. so..
Im supposed to be going to my dads in Nevada in like 2 weeks. im way excited because i love my Dad and miss him like crazy. I also love my stepmum but havent been real close with her and want to be. any ideas of some fun stuff her and I can do together? My mom is still being nasty about mhy dad as usual but after tlking with a skool councelor and stuff i know she acts this way because she is kind of jealous that my dad has remarried and is happy and she hasnt done that yet so i just ignore her. any ideas for stuff to do in that area? thnks! --Mall
--Movies
--Just go on a walk and chat :]
--Help her with chores and stuff. && if your step mom cooks, then help her cook dinner and stuff.

so when i go to the beach, we always go to these same shops and they always have a bunch of baby turtles you can buy and take home really cheap. they are so precious, and they're smaller than the palm of my hand. my parents always tell me it's dumb because they won't even make the 9/10 hour drive home. but how could they not, if i feed it right and all that stuff? i love turtles and really want to get one this year. anyone had any experience with these tiny ones? They sound absolutly adorable, but I'd take advice from below. They are realy fragile and killed easily. & I dont think it'd be a great idea to take it on a 9-10 hour drive. try petships around your neighborhood. And, again, like said below, maybe see if someone could ship them.. i think thats a great idea. Those tiny turtles probabyly wont last. sorry

I am trying to earn 100 dollars(USD)to buy a digital camera before August and so far I only have 20 something dollars.I need ideas to help me make money faster.

If you're old enough, a small job at McDonalds, Burger King or even Wal*Mart could probably help you ear the money. If not, I think you have some great ideas.
-Mowing lawns could be $15
-Lemonade .50 a cup
-Babysit -depending on time- $2-$4 an hour
& every thing else kinda depends on what you sell, and how many and how long your caring for pets.

I have a persian kitten [verry fluffy and full of fur] of course every animal has fleas but we never rally had a problem with ours. Well Lacey, the cat, has them horribly bad and we have given her baths over and over again. got the flea collar. the flea comb. the flea killer stuff to put on her neck. but none of them have been working bc she is still FULL of them! We even gave her a haircut amd she looks like a rat. shes bleeding because of the fleas and everyoen in the family at our household has flea bites. Any help on a HUGE flea problem??? (link)

And I thought I was the only one with that kinda problem. Heres what we did.
1)Talk to your vet about flea killers, colars and shampoos.
2)While your cat using these, clean the entire house. Beds, rugs, blankets, everything. Fleas can always hide in your house.
3) Baths, baths, baths. Even though cats hate water, do everything. Take as long as it needs to take to kill the fleas.
4) Talk with your vet some more.
If nothings working, then I don't know what to say. Keep cleaning!!

I'm 14 and I've always been really shy. When I was little, I hardly ever talked to anyone outside my family until I was 7 or 8 years old. Now it's not as bad but I'm still shy. I know it's because I have really low self esteem and I'm always afraid of what other people will think of me. I don't know what to do. How can I stop being shy? (link)

Yes, being shy is hard to overcome, especially when you have low self esteme. I agree with one of the other answers, try to make a compliment to yourself every day. Or write down things you like about yourself. Maybe try to hold your chin a little higher when you're walking through school/work. In order to become less shy, you may want to try and open up a little more. Tell people (friends, family, etc.) how you feel.

I have this thing with my parents having sex when i am home its never happened but i am always it will. they havent done it for awhile i knwo this for a fact. but this all started when i went through my moms inbox & my dad her were sending txt messages that said " do me" "blow me" "lick me" i comfronted my mom about this & she said it was a joke but now i have grown father apart. i just dont know what to do i balled my eyes out i can tell you this. I half agree with everyone elses responses.
Yes it was rude to go through your mothers phone, but you werent asking about your moms phone.
I think you should definitly discuss this with your mom. If it really bothers you, you should let her know.
Yes, its natural for them to do that, but maybe talk to your mom about having them do that while you arent home.

Okay. My first boyfriend and I have been going out for a few weeks now. We are both 14. While on the phone one day he told me he loved me. He's told me that a few times already now. The last time I felt guilty so I said "I love you too." But I've been thinking and while I think he's very amazing and I couldn't be happier going out with him, love is a strong emotion and I want to be sure it's love. Ahh love. It is a complicted emotion. Most adults dont even know if they're in love or not. You're 14, so you may not have found Mr. Perfect just yet. If it doesn't feel right saying "I love you too" then talk to him about it. If he cares as much to say "I love you", I'm sure he'll be okay with it. If you do feel comfortable saying it, and you think you've met Mr. Right then go ahead and say it but remember, love is just as powerful as hate.

I haven't really 'fit in' since the 6th grade when I was a cheerleader and hung out with their crowd.
Ever since then, I've had one or two friends.For the most part I'm just a helping hand when a random person needs it.
I just need a little advice as to finding a group or a few more friends to have a good time with. I'm in several clubs and sports teams, but I always seem to be the odd one out. (link)

So I take it you're involved in school? Good. The more things you are involved in the more friends you might meet. I'm not saying cram all your free time into school clubs and sports, because that gets really frustrating. Try joining some clubs. I'm not sure what your school has but things like (I had things such as...) runners club, chess club, fishing club, etc. If you join in these clubs that you enjoy, you may find someone that enjoys them too. You can definatly make some friends like this. If clubs really aren't your thing, maybe have one of your friends introduce you to someone new. Sit with someone else in the cafeteria. (Or wherever you eat lunch, again im not sure what its like in your school) Just try and be friendly and be yourself.
