is it possible to make a password when someone tries to open a word document? because i write word documents i would rather not have anyone else see and other people use my computer, so i was wondering if it was possible for me to create a password for opening it so that no one can see it but me. i actually know it is possible, so please put step by step instructions on how to create a password if anyone knows. i have 'Microsoft Office Word 2007' and my computer is an hp notebook(laptop)
I think if you File;;save as then click options to the right. Enter a password and then okay or save, something like that i'm not sure about that but i think you're good like that

When your in microsoft word and your in the file that you'd like password protected, go to File>Save As>and than click something that says options to the right. Enter a password in space where it says password to open, and click ok.
Now whenever you open this file you should be prompted to enter the password you made up...
