Though from a musician's standpoint I'd urge you to actually buy at least some of your music... that way, you won't get as much spyware/adware/crap on your computer from Limewire and you will be supporting your favorite bands. When you get a new iPod, you don't get a new music library, you just hook the new iPod up and sync it to the one you currently have.
