I think I'm pretty.. but I stand next to girls at my school and my cousins who can be so beautiful, and I feel as if nothing stands out about me.
I'm pale.. like not disgustingly pale its just I dont tan easily.. and I have light-brown hair, and brown eyes.. and I mean sounds boring, but I admit I like how I look when I have makeup on, and sometimes without it. I mean, I'm not the makeup type. I skateboard and dont wear dresses and stuff and say I hate makeup and all that.. but the truth is I just want to stand out.
I have thick hair.. how can I make it look thinner? Should I get it permanately straightened or are their any special products that last and dont leave my hair greasy and stiff?
Also, what mascara is good? Sometimes I wear great lash.. and I rarely wear even THAT for makeup.. or eyeliner.. I mean I'm just trying to stand out that ONE DAY so people know how beautiful I can really be. It sucks because I'm a good person, and people say Im beautiful or pretty I just dont SEE it right now ya know?
Also, how can I lose weight around my thighs and butt area? I mean Im not fat at all but I feel a bit unproportioned..
I just wanna stand out.. and be confident..
any tips??
Uh , i'm sorry but i can't tell you that "everyone is beautiful in their own way" , cos face it : its human ... if you're butt ugly , then you ARE butt ugly .But then how do people see each other ? Think about it , and you will realise that the most outstanding and attractive are usually really confident . It doesn't matter that you aren't the most gorgeous girl in the world . . it's all about confidence . KNOW that you are beautiful ..and let everyone else know that too . =D STRUT THAT STUFF !

.. i'm glad that you've decided to have your own style , and that you have chosen to break away , be different , not like a typical sterotype of a teenage girl . =D
Here are some tips :
FACE
For a pale face : To make your face look really really naturally pale ,first make sure you exfoliate* ( this is really important to get paler skin )tone, and moisturize your face - dirt makes you darker. Take a concealer which matches your skin tone and blend it in well , so as to cover your freckles . Then take a liquid foundation 1 or 2 shades lighter than your face (NO MORE THAN 2!! and not two leaps but 2 shades) and apply it lightly and evenly over your face. Let this dry COMPLETELY. Then dust with a white powder or if its out of season try baby power, perfume power, or even clinique translucent powder in I think 3 [it looks pink until you put it on - trust me].Make sure you blend it in well with your neck .. you want to look natural . And something which i find very important is to NEVER NEVER NEVER wear white cream , like the type you can buy in halloween shops for kids . Remember , you want to look naturally pale and beautiful , not like an evil vamp. . It makes me cringe. It looks so halloween and juvinile.
And remember- you don't have to be pale. Its all personal preferance. I think that pale skin is gorgeous, but tan if you like it. Also another benefit to being pale is that your dark makeup will look more drastic and beautiful.
EYES
Both liquid and pencil eyeliners work , but since you want to be punk/goth , try a darker colour like black or dark grey . Line the whole upper eyelid , slowly , so that the line is thicker. Extend the eyeliner at the corner of your eye ( the side nearer the ear )out , as this gives you a more goth look . Top this off with black ( mix this with a bit of water for a smudgy , dramatic look ) or shimmery grey eyeshadow .You can line the bottom part of your eye , but not too much ,or this would make your eyes look smaller , and sunken in .
LIPS
This really depends on how goth/punk you want to be . Also remember only to play up one feature ( either your eyes or your lips ) because you don't want to look overdone . I suggest a dark red ( near black ) or black lipstick . I think the red would look better on you , especially since of the pale skin , and your red hair (which i will give you some tips for later ) .
Some punk/goths like lining their lips in eyeliner , but i don't like this . EYEliner is for EYES , and LIPliner is for LIPS . Line your lips in the same colour as your lipstick =) If you wish , you can also put a layer of clear gloss on top of your lip stick , but make sure the gloss is NOT glittery , as this would ruin the whole effect . Also , don't put too much gloss on , or you'll end up looking much too preppy for a punk/goth .
HAIR :
Your red hair would look really really good ( trust me , i have a good friend who did this ) with black streaks in it .If you want , you can also add in some dark dark red streaks in it too . I really wish i had red hair lol =)
To keep long/dyed hair soft and silky, apply liberal amounts of BABY OIL to your hair just before going to bed. Cover or tie up your hair and leave the baby oil in all night. In the morning, wash it out, shampoo and condition your hair as normal. Your hair will be beautifully silky and soft.You should also regularly deep condition your hair , as dying your hair would dry it a bit .For a sexy punk/goth look , you could either straighten your hair ,till even the ends are really straight or crimp and rumple it randomly , so that it has the whole " i-just-got-out-of-bed" tousled look . Or you could cut it jagged and layered for a more permanent look .
Some names i like : Scarlett ,Raevyn( kind of like Raven ),Jade , Atredot and Lynx . I think Ember ( the name you suggested ) is really good too .

Cold therapy is very effective for reducing swelling, relieving sensations of pain, and accelerating the healing process. Hot therapy helps break down and disintegrate bruising discolorations and provides moisture to the area f discomfort . =) my advice would be to ice your hickies for about 10 minutes , and wait for about fifteen minutes . Use a hot watter bottle and put it down gently on your neck . Do this for as long as the hot water bottle remains warm , which should be for about twenty minutes . After this , your hickies should no longer be visible !
If you just want to use makeup to hide this , a very very very useful way to hide it ( it works wonders for me ) , is to :
< IF AND ONLY IF YOUR HICKIES ARE BLUISH >
1) Dab a bit of concealer all over the areas where this hickies are and blend it gently into your skin .
2) Take a cheap RED lipstick (you want to avoid one with a lot of moisturizer or other surfactants that might keep the surface wet or greasy looking. You'll see why in a minute... ) and dot your neck lightly over the bruise area. It will look a little like a case of the measles. Blend this into the Concealer with your fingers.
3)If it is too red then you overdid it and will need to put a bit more concealer on to even out the color. This is not a joke. The secret is that the red of the lipstick cancels out the bluishness of the bruise. Women have used this trick to hide bruises and such for many many years.
4)Lightly brush some powder over that area , to make it look natural .
< IF YOUR HICKIES ARE MORE REDDISH >
1) check your actual hickie colour first under white light AND yellow light . Are you sure they are red ? You don't want to look green after using the concealer .
2) If they are , use a light GREEN toned concealer . This will cancel out the redness . "Pearls of Perfection®:Multi-Colored Face Tint in Sheer Green" and " The Physician's Formula Wanderful Wand™ Brightening Cream Concealer in Green " are both great concealers .If you cant buy either , you can just try dabbing some light green cream eyeshadow ( the non-glittery type please ) on top of your hickies .
3) Pat some foundation and some powder on top of the green toned concealer , but not too much to make it look natural . =)

there's this guy at school and he always like bumps into me, and says sorry. before i didn't think anything of it, but now it's happening like almost all the time! does he like me? or is this just some weird coincidence?!
My guess is that he likes you .. it is quite unlikely that this guy is like really clumsy and always bumps into YOU . I think it's nice of him to say sorry ,he must be pretty decent .I really dislike those obnoxious boys who bump into you on purpose and attempt to feel you up or get close . If you think he's cute or just think he's okay , it might be a good idea to start a conversation with him the next time he bumps into you . Maybe you can start by saying "it's alright"and smile, when he bumps into you or says sorry . You can also sort of walk with him in the same direction. You can then start asking questions like : "hey , what's your name ? " and maybe joke around with him for a while . =D who knows , you might just find another friend or perhaps even lover in him ! i straighten my hair EVERYDAY untill its straight enough..but the girls at my school have the hair thats perfectly flat..and straight ends..like pointy straight and it looks really cute..all their frizzys are hairsprayed down or something, did they fri their hair..or how do i get my hair like that?
You could go and rebond your hair , it isn't that expensive , and that would save you a lot of trouble every day . =) also , you might want to try layering your hair just a bit , as when you straighten layered hair , the ends just lie down flat . If you don't want to rebond your hair , you could always put on some hair cream ( the type for straightening ) and then straighten it . It keeps your hair in place , yet soft at the same time , so it looks more natural then slapping on a ton of gel . After straightening , you should also apply some leave-in moisturising cream or some smoothening serum on your hair . Straightening your hair everyday isn't that good for your hair , so don't forget to do this ! Good luck and feel free to drop a question into my mailbox . =)

my boyfriend kinda throws me around a little and im ready to get out what do i say?
i'm glad you are choosing to get out of this abusive relationship .. there should ALWAYS be mutual respect for each other in a relationship , and both the guy and girl should always be equals , without one controlling the other . Also , any man who hits a female is definitely not a good person , let alone a good boyfriend . You should bring a good friend or a couple of close friends with you to place you are going to break up at . A good idea would be a public place with people there , but not a really crowded place . Maybe a restaurant ? Make sure your friends are sitting at a table near you , so they can always help you if your bf tries to hit you or hurt you , though he won't in a public place . Don't beat around the bush when you tell him , just say something like : " this isn't working out . I want to break up . " .
After you break up with him , for the next few weeks , make sure you always have a friend with you no matter where you go as he might try to hurt you . If he attempts to or does hurt you , report his behavior to the police or tell someone like your teacher or your parents . haha don't get too pissed k ? if you saw two people holding hands , you would most probably ask them if they liked each other etc. the problem starts when everyone thinks this way , and everyone asks , and the number of curious/annoying ppl rises and rises . And of course , people DO need to mind their own business . . hmm . a suggestion would be to "go public" or somehow get everyone to know that you like him and he likes you . That way , you wouldn't be rude and people would stop asking .If you decide not to do this,and people carry on annoying you , just smile really sweetly and be all : "i love him " . That way , news would travel fast that you really do like him , and people would stop being busybody and stop doubting that you two like each other . I really want to become and actor...but I haven't seen any agents or anything...I might want to do The Starlet or something or hopefully, someone will discover me because I really want this...does anyone know what you have to do to be an actress...besides memorize lines? Also, I need to know how to cry on cue..I rate..
Well , to be an actress , you have to be confident of yourself , and you have to really get into the role.This means not laughing during your audition or smiling when you're not supposed to . This shows the people who are watching you audition that you are serious about acting . Before acting/auditioning give yourself at least five minutes to calm down/hype up ( depending on what role you are doing ) . If you need to be energetic and bouncy / whatever on stage , walk around a room a couple of times , from your usual walking speed , to a faster walking speed , to a slower one and then back to the faster one and then to the fastest you can walk . This should get your energy up .If you are playing one of those sad roles where you have to cry , sit down in a quiet corner and think about what the character you are playing just when through . ( my best friend is DEAD ! all because ___ didn't help . He could have saved her , but he chose to take the money instead . He's a murderer etc . ) IF you can't cry just by thinking about that , then practice crying on a daily basis . ( i did this everyday for about two weeks before my performance ) . Just make the tears well up in your eyes , by thinking of something sad or hurtful . After a few times, you should be able to cry without even thinking much about why you should be crying .

What do you do if you find yourself more and more each day, liking a guy who does not believe in God? I am a christian and I have my morals, standards and beliefs and he doesn't meet my number one standard which is believeing in God and having a relationship with him but, on the other hand, I am so drawn to him I can't help it.He's a really great guy but should we just stay friends and nothing more?

. As a Christian myself , I really do believe that you should NOT date this guy . I understand that you like him , but keep this one sided . Admire him from afar , but do not flirt or get too close to him . And in the meanwhile , pray really hard that a Wonderful Christian boy will come into your life , and that he will be everything you want.. i'm sure God will answer your prayer . =) and remember , GOD comes first before everything else ! =D

ok well on friday there is this dance at columbus(an all guys school) and my friend told me about it and told me to go w/ her and her b/f who goes to the school. i can't take my b/f because guys that don't go to the school aren't allowed to go. i want to go to the party though because i've been dying to go to one lately but i know that if i tell my b/f i'm going w/o him he'll get PISSED since its an all guys school and i'm going by myself bcuz he's really overprotective. what should i do??
well you have two choices :
1- tell him the truth . tell him that you really want to go out and have fun . and make sure he trusts you . at the dance do not betray his trust . if you play you're cards right , he will definitely let you go . if not , then too bad ... but make him feel bad so that he'll bring you somewhere else fun and make sure you have a good time . MANIPULATE him !
2- lie . this is not a good idea because if you get found out he will immediately be suspicious as to why you didn't tell him and wonder if you're cheating on him , if you don't trust him etc.
My sister was raped and killed about a year ago ( we havent found out who it is yet but they're still looking)and I lately I have been see her well her ghost and she always says some thing but I cant hear her like she just moves her lips and I want to tell my mom but I'm afriad she will put me in some kind a hospital or something but about a week ago my sister came back and she made me fallow her some how I mean she walked through the wall and I just had to fallow her and when I did it I found an old beat down house and I really really wont to show it to some one because I think it might be the guy that killed her
I believe you really did see your sister . things like this happens when you're experiencing a particularly strong emotion . Were you upset that day or thinking about her ? My best friend died when i was about 8 . Some scary freak had kidnapped and mutiliated her in a sick fashion and stuffed her into a garbage bag , leaving her body to decay . This is one of the most intense memories i've ever had , and sometimes i still get nightmares . Thankfully , her body was found and identified , the killer was caught , and he's now in jail . not long before the killer was found , i remember her appearing to me , crying , her body bruised ,cut ,clothing torn , i still see her sometimes , but now she's happy . how do you see your sister ? does she look like how she did before or how she looked liked when she died . Next time you see her , don't hesitate to follow, but note down how she appears to you , when she appears to you , and what she looks like . These are vital clues . Maybe you should spy on the house to see who goes there , and perhaps follow him around , see how he acts around girls . And see what your sister does , what she tells you to do .Do not be afraid , she will guide you . Try to talk to her sometimes , i'm sure she might try to tell you something again . call out to her , will her to come to you , to help you solve her murder . clear your mind and focus only on your sister , do not hesistate or be afraid and she will come .

Im a really big guy. Im 7 feet tall, im 450lbs. My questions is, why is it that girls just want to be friends with me. They dont want to think about anything more than a friendship. I thought girls didnt care as much for looks as guys. Big guys need loving too.
wow - ur really tall . i guess many girls feel uncomfortable with you as they might be a lot shorter than you , and hence may feel a little intimidated . i mean , i don't know about other pple , but i for one , am about 5'2 tall , and get quite freaked out when uber tall guys like 6 feet over or whatever try to flirt with me .
ESPECIALLY when they do they whole thing when they spot me leaning against some wall and they stand in front of me and lean towards the wall , and put both their arms on either side of me and lean down , so they are only a few inches taller . eeeek . makes me feel cornered .
so i don;t lean against walls anymore .
my advice for you : find a nice tall model like girl , like 6 feet tall or more , and ask her out . trust me , as long as you are pretty hot , she wouldn't mind . girls like that like guys a lot taller than them .
oh yeah , and go work out , if you haven't been . work towards having a good body .

Ok, i'm not sure if thats how u spell it but still.....okay i sweat. and i dont mean a little i mean a lot! i'm female by the way. so all my real cute lil shirts i cant wear b/c i sweat so much it shows wet spots underneath my arms (and only there, not my hands or anything like that) my parents refuse to take me to the doctor. Hmm. .... at around 5 months , you should stay with making out and perhaps letting the guy touch you a little . But not all the time , make yourself a little hard to get , that way , he'll want you more . ( also because you don't want a bad reputation or be labeled "easy" ) . You can start being a little more flirtatious to him , such as by stroking his thigh or his spine . But don't have sex yet . Only have sex after your relationship has lasted more than a year , showing that your guy will stick by you . ( of course , if you don't want to , then don't have sex with him ) .

I will usually blush and look down when he asks me , and then i look up when he is done , and smile shyly/sweetly up and say something along the lines of " sure , i would love that" . This works like magic , and i think that guys sort of like it when you act slightly shyer than usual . According to one of my guy friends , its "cute" . Of course , if you are usually very loud and stuff , i think this would be weird .

How do you feel about this whole matter ? Do you WANT to lose your virginity to him ? Or are you just WILLING to lose it to him ? Both are different . To me , having sex isn't really important , but i beleive that both of you will form a bond after this . Sort of like a "i am ___'s girl" sign stuck on you .
Also , make sure you don't become pregnant , that is , unless your boyfriend is older and has a stable job and both of you are willing to look after and raise your child together . Anyway , how do you know that you are tight ? Maybe the people you have compared with are loose or have had sex before . Either that , or they finger themselves alot . Most guys i know say that a "tight" girl is better anyway , so this shouldn't be much of a problem .

hmm .... actually , you aren't really THAT young , just sightly . How old is this guy ? Isn't this counted as underage sex ? Just make sure you wouldn't regret it and that this guy won't just use you . Also make sure that your guy isn't a big mouth and wouldn't go around blurting out that you lost your virginity to him . ( eww . you might even get a rep as a slut or something worse ) . I've heard that it hurts , ALOT . I think that if you plan on doing it , you should stay overnight somewhere , as you can just go to sleep with each other . Its much better than doing it after school , and having to go home soon after .
