does anyone know?
I really want to become and actor...but I haven't seen any agents or anything...I might want to do The Starlet or something or hopefully, someone will discover me because I really want this...does anyone know what you have to do to be an actress...besides memorize lines? Also, I need to know how to cry on cue..I rate..

Well , to be an actress , you have to be confident of yourself , and you have to really get into the role.This means not laughing during your audition or smiling when you're not supposed to . This shows the people who are watching you audition that you are serious about acting . Before acting/auditioning give yourself at least five minutes to calm down/hype up ( depending on what role you are doing ) . If you need to be energetic and bouncy / whatever on stage , walk around a room a couple of times , from your usual walking speed , to a faster walking speed , to a slower one and then back to the faster one and then to the fastest you can walk . This should get your energy up .If you are playing one of those sad roles where you have to cry , sit down in a quiet corner and think about what the character you are playing just when through . ( my best friend is DEAD ! all because ___ didn't help . He could have saved her , but he chose to take the money instead . He's a murderer etc . ) IF you can't cry just by thinking about that , then practice crying on a daily basis . ( i did this everyday for about two weeks before my performance ) . Just make the tears well up in your eyes , by thinking of something sad or hurtful . After a few times, you should be able to cry without even thinking much about why you should be crying .

First, you should just keep practicing. Learning how to cry on cue, showing emotions, that kinda stuff. If you still go to school, then just get involved in the school play or musical. At our school, there's Shakespeare Club and Drama Club. Get involved with the plays and stuff at your school, and then maybe you'll get discovered.
If you don't go to school anymore, there are a bunch of sites with agent contact info. I'm sure google will help.

send someone famous an auditon tape of you.You could find out when there is an audition for a telivision program or an add through the internet.Or just go to the studio.Or try going to acting class,in acting if the teachers dont themselves teach you how to get discovered you will hear the other students talking about how to get discovered.hope i helped.To learn how to cry think of something realy sad.Think about getting fired.The tension will make you cry.Most actresses can not cry.They put glisrene in their eyes.You will learn all that if you go to an acting class

try to get involved in school plays, and maybe ask your director if he/she could recommend a good afterschool acting class, or even an agent.
to be an actor, confidence is KEY. if you really want to succeed, then you have to convince people that you are worth while, and they will never believe it if you don't believe in yourself.
also obviously you should have a good memory, and be able to memorize lines, but more importantly you should be able to empathize with all sorts of different people, and really get into their shoes. try to figure out what makes your character tick, who they are, and what they want. once you really "know" your character, it usually comes naturally from there.
and to cry on cue, just think of something really sad, and do what you do when you cry in real life, like go through the actions you usually go through when crying, and usually real tears will follow.

to cry think so something really sad like when your dog died or your friend commiting sucide or just watch the tearry part of a moovie before you go on... or eyedrops lol

try getting involved in plays and theater at school, and ask the drama teacher there for help, if you are no longer in school look in your local news paper, or check online for a drama center localy by you! also, try taking a creative arts class, with dancing and singing ect. that should help!

when i cry on cue; i just think of the saddest thing that has happened to me. plus i get all into it and i feel like im that person. also if you dont blink for a long time then they water bc they get so dry. i cant really help you with the agent thing, though
