Goth/Punk Make-up & Name
I'm going punk/goth and I want to know some good make-up ideas. I have red hair and blue eyes and freckles if that helps. I also would like some ideas for a punky sounding name. Like Ember or something. Any ideas? Please help! Thanks. BTW, I can't wear mascara. I'm allegic or something...

well use dark coloures on your eyes and go right the way around in eye linear i don't realy no what you can change your name to soz whats wrong with the one you got now?

uhhh try some heavy dark eyeshadow..like red or sumthing
where some light LIGHT powder that makes you look pale ((unless u alredi are) and dark lipgloss/make up

Dark colors always work for punk gothic girls.. i like the names Kat Ivy and secret for punk names.. i dont know many punk people tho.. much luv dez x0x0

heyy .. just for make-up just paint your nails black, wear black lipstick, wear black eyeliner, and some dark eye shadow
as for names i like ember i think it has sort of a punkish sound to it its a good name use it
i know you didnt ask for punkish clothes but hot topic is the place to go

.. i'm glad that you've decided to have your own style , and that you have chosen to break away , be different , not like a typical sterotype of a teenage girl . =D
Here are some tips :
FACE
For a pale face : To make your face look really really naturally pale ,first make sure you exfoliate* ( this is really important to get paler skin )tone, and moisturize your face - dirt makes you darker. Take a concealer which matches your skin tone and blend it in well , so as to cover your freckles . Then take a liquid foundation 1 or 2 shades lighter than your face (NO MORE THAN 2!! and not two leaps but 2 shades) and apply it lightly and evenly over your face. Let this dry COMPLETELY. Then dust with a white powder or if its out of season try baby power, perfume power, or even clinique translucent powder in I think 3 [it looks pink until you put it on - trust me].Make sure you blend it in well with your neck .. you want to look natural . And something which i find very important is to NEVER NEVER NEVER wear white cream , like the type you can buy in halloween shops for kids . Remember , you want to look naturally pale and beautiful , not like an evil vamp. . It makes me cringe. It looks so halloween and juvinile.
And remember- you don't have to be pale. Its all personal preferance. I think that pale skin is gorgeous, but tan if you like it. Also another benefit to being pale is that your dark makeup will look more drastic and beautiful.
EYES
Both liquid and pencil eyeliners work , but since you want to be punk/goth , try a darker colour like black or dark grey . Line the whole upper eyelid , slowly , so that the line is thicker. Extend the eyeliner at the corner of your eye ( the side nearer the ear )out , as this gives you a more goth look . Top this off with black ( mix this with a bit of water for a smudgy , dramatic look ) or shimmery grey eyeshadow .You can line the bottom part of your eye , but not too much ,or this would make your eyes look smaller , and sunken in .
LIPS
This really depends on how goth/punk you want to be . Also remember only to play up one feature ( either your eyes or your lips ) because you don't want to look overdone . I suggest a dark red ( near black ) or black lipstick . I think the red would look better on you , especially since of the pale skin , and your red hair (which i will give you some tips for later ) .
Some punk/goths like lining their lips in eyeliner , but i don't like this . EYEliner is for EYES , and LIPliner is for LIPS . Line your lips in the same colour as your lipstick =) If you wish , you can also put a layer of clear gloss on top of your lip stick , but make sure the gloss is NOT glittery , as this would ruin the whole effect . Also , don't put too much gloss on , or you'll end up looking much too preppy for a punk/goth .
HAIR :
Your red hair would look really really good ( trust me , i have a good friend who did this ) with black streaks in it .If you want , you can also add in some dark dark red streaks in it too . I really wish i had red hair lol =)
To keep long/dyed hair soft and silky, apply liberal amounts of BABY OIL to your hair just before going to bed. Cover or tie up your hair and leave the baby oil in all night. In the morning, wash it out, shampoo and condition your hair as normal. Your hair will be beautifully silky and soft.You should also regularly deep condition your hair , as dying your hair would dry it a bit .For a sexy punk/goth look , you could either straighten your hair ,till even the ends are really straight or crimp and rumple it randomly , so that it has the whole " i-just-got-out-of-bed" tousled look . Or you could cut it jagged and layered for a more permanent look .
Some names i like : Scarlett ,Raevyn( kind of like Raven ),Jade , Atredot and Lynx . I think Ember ( the name you suggested ) is really good too .

your a idiot for trying to escape a stereotype by simply conforming into a different one.. learn at least the sub cultures considering punk and goth are completely different things.. these are religions you should not be trying to be one.. it defeats the whole purpose of the whole thing.. it demeans years of striving to achieve individilism of these religions and you are wrecking it buy posing to be one when you dont know what the hell you are talking about.. just because you have started listening to the music you think you are hardcore.. or are you just trying to fit into a trend? what your friends do it now and its.. 'cool'? my advice is.. stay being your preppy self red hair and blue eyes girl, im sure your gorgeous being who you are stop trying to be something your not!

Don't bother to change your name, and actually trying to hard to be "punk" or "goth" makes you all poser-y, but eyeliner is always good, and dark eyeshadow, think dark everything around your eyes, and if you find mascars that you can wear (try hypoallergenic stuff if you haven't already), experiment with funky colors, dark blue would really set off your eyes.

to go goth/punk you can wear black lipstick, black nail polish, black clothes maybe a dot of red not to much.something like that. do you know where im going at. a name for you can be maybe goth princess or punk girl. giving names for goth/punk is hard.hoped i helped.
