Question Posted Wednesday April 20 2005, 10:31 pm

I think I'm pretty.. but I stand next to girls at my school and my cousins who can be so beautiful, and I feel as if nothing stands out about me.

I'm pale.. like not disgustingly pale its just I dont tan easily.. and I have light-brown hair, and brown eyes.. and I mean sounds boring, but I admit I like how I look when I have makeup on, and sometimes without it. I mean, I'm not the makeup type. I skateboard and dont wear dresses and stuff and say I hate makeup and all that.. but the truth is I just want to stand out.

I have thick hair.. how can I make it look thinner? Should I get it permanately straightened or are their any special products that last and dont leave my hair greasy and stiff?

Also, what mascara is good? Sometimes I wear great lash.. and I rarely wear even THAT for makeup.. or eyeliner.. I mean I'm just trying to stand out that ONE DAY so people know how beautiful I can really be. It sucks because I'm a good person, and people say Im beautiful or pretty I just dont SEE it right now ya know?

Also, how can I lose weight around my thighs and butt area? I mean Im not fat at all but I feel a bit unproportioned..

I just wanna stand out.. and be confident..
any tips??

Sometimes I feel the same waY! Dont worry, every one is beautiful, even you! &hearts ;; next time you go to get yur hair cut, ask the lady to "thin" your hair (she'll noe whut yur talkin about) You could also try tannin with baby oil (speeds up the tannin process)

Hope it all works out &hearts xOx- Kymmy

Uh , i'm sorry but i can't tell you that "everyone is beautiful in their own way" , cos face it : its human ... if you're butt ugly , then you ARE butt ugly .But then how do people see each other ? Think about it , and you will realise that the most outstanding and attractive are usually really confident . It doesn't matter that you aren't the most gorgeous girl in the world . . it's all about confidence . KNOW that you are beautiful ..and let everyone else know that too . =D STRUT THAT STUFF !
rock on ,
*wondering*

Everyone is beautiful in their own way!! there are probably heaps of things about you that "stand out", maybe you just dont think they do. maybe your beauty lies in your personality. If you feel good about yourself then you give off a vibe...and people will see that. People care about people who care about themselves.
You can get your hairdresser to thin your hair out when you get it cut- permanantly straightening your hair just drys it out and make it stiff anyway.
Be natural- if you dont like wearing make-up then dont. wearing a bit of mascara isnt going to make you "stand out" in such a way that people will notice you more.
i feel a bit unproportioned too. in the same areas. i have been going to the gym and walking a bit...i think it has helped tone up my bottom a bit.
hope this helps....good luck

Ok, this is the second time this week that I have referenced this article, but it really helped me out, so I think it can help you too.

It really depends on the type of hair you have. I know you say thick, but is it curly, straight, frizzy? If you decide to straighten your hair, I have this stuff that came with my straightener. It's called Biosilk Silk Therapy, and it really has a good effect! It makes your hair look shiny, and it also help separate it if it is in clumps. Or, if you're looking for an all-out change, maybe get some highlights? They're pretty expensive, but if you really want to make an impact on people, they will definitely notice if you got your hair highlighted. Think it through though, because if you don't like it in the end it will cost you more money to get it back to the way it was.

As for your thighs, try this website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

I hope I've helped!

It depends on the person on how he/she is feeling about his/her body. You can be confident wnen you liked your body but apparently you aren't satisfied. You can exercise a lot to lessen your weight especially exercises concerning the thighs and look at your cousins and girls at your school .Think. What is not in them that maybe can stand out in me? for example if most of them are white then you can go to the beach and do sun bathing and be tan. That way you'll stand out. In the hair category. If most of their hairs are straight you can make your hair curly and maybe put a wisp on your hair. You can do dying too. If you're open to it. You can put any color on your hair. Just look for ways to stand out and you'll definitely do.
