well alot of people tend to confuse them as the same thing. Whereas infact, jus because you are "HIV positive" (have acquired "human immunodeficiency virus") it doesn't mean you have AIDS. people often contract HIV through drug habits, ie sharing needles when injecting drugs. the virus is alao passed down from mother to child.
Once somebody is infected with HIV it makes them susceptable to many more diseases, such as AIDS. Once AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome)is acquired, it prevents your immune system from fighting foreign bodies and germs in your body and therefore basically makes any disease 10x worse since the symptoms are exaggerated and it takes alot longer to fight it off (if your body can at all) ofthen AIDS sufferes are on a cocktail of drugs to try and keep illneses at bay.

the word "douche" in french means "shower"
however in a women's magazine, it'd most likely mean where you wash out your *ahem* down-below parts, (for ladies) :p
i duno how the term has come from the french word for shower though, maybe people began using the showerhead? I don't know. Lol i don't actually want to think about it either! Hope i helped! ;)

14/F. Next time my dad goes to the movie store I get to pick a few movies. I prefer scary movies rated pg-13 or R. Movies I like were Saw and the Ring. I personally thought the Grudge was stupid. Any ideas? (I will take suggestions other then scary movies if they are good) (link)

Secret Window with Jonny Depp (hot :p) and John Teturro (sp?) it's fairly spooky. its based on the novella Secret window, Secret garden by Stephen King. i thought it was a really good, quite scary film. but not like saw or the ring at all.

well the best instance of a hidden track i can think of is on robbie william's album; life thru a lens. right at the end after about 40minutes he recites (sp) a poem he wrote to his headmaster that calls him just about every name under the sun! this track was an extra little something special for all the fans that bothered to buy the album in its special edition form originally. as all of the later prints of the cd didnt have this track. and feeder have the track "just a day" on their special edition japanese version of echo park. it's there to reward the die hard fans :p alex

Alright well last year I was on two leagues. I played softball for the school and for southside. When I played last year i got SO sick of it and I wanted to quit one league I never did. Now since its winter and like cold out ive been DIEING to play softball. I have one brother but hes never home, so I cant play catch with him and I have one friend who likes softball but can hardly ever hang out.And I took socks and rolled them up together and Im a pitcher, so I put a target on my wall and was pitching to my wall for an hour but it got boring , but i stil want to play catch or hit the ball or something what can I do? why not take a tennis ball or some other kind of small bouncy ball and either throw it at a wall and catch it when it comes back, or go outside or to a park etc and throw the ball as high as you can and then catch it when it returns.
i dont know what to reccommend for hitting the ball. unless there's like a baseball training court near you where you can stand in front of a machine and practice slugging the ball into a net?

I have a list of names that I like a lot. For my kids. *(I've always loved names, and making them up, and stuff)* Im Almost 15, and wont be having kids for atleast 7 more years, but i would still like to know some of the names for boys and/or girls that you all like! and you can add middle names too, if you so desire. Also, I use a lot of the names that I like when I play the Sims and the Sims 2. So If you could please tell me the names that you all like for boys and/or girls, that would be great, thanks! haha sounds like my friends sister. (actually like TWO of my friends sisters) forget about trying to help her let yer parents hear about it or wateva. because there is NOTHING u cans ay or do thats gona change her. things will get bad, she will eventually HAVE to stop or something in her social patterns will change and she'll be fine. it's called tough love :P

i have the same problem. when i realise i've been going on about something for too long and nobody cares, i realise, but dont want to like stop talking straight off in fear of looking silly. but do it anyway. just stop. stop dead at what you were saying. you'll start doing it less often because when you stop speaking, you'll feel embarassed. works for me anyway because after i while i've started realising what i'm doing alot more. sorry if this all sounds like rubbish....

make up sum really cool (but false) reason as to why he got arrested. EG oh yeah he was the presidents bodyguard secretly but then one day when the president couldn't spell his name right on his paycheck, he called the president an ass hole and then the fbi arrested him for being a terrorist threat. or something possibly less unbelievable perhaps. but basically play with the people who are gossiping's heads. keep them guessing. who cares what you tell them, they don't matter!

I have more of a comment then a question right now...I look at this site as a great way to make new friends and to get helpful advice so i can see what im doing wrong in my life and how i can improve it....I love asking questions and getting feedback but what i dont like is opening up answers and seeing rude remarks and dumb comments....Thats really not helpful and in some cases it makes me feel lower then i was before i asked the question...Im sure im not the only one who feels this way but i think this needs to stop...If you think its funny to make fun of peoples personal problems then go make fun of your own because you obviously have them if you feel you can say some of the things that i have seen said to people....Im open for any feedback but please i ask that this comment not be deleted because im trying to get a message out about how i feel and if you delete this then you are just as bad as those who leave rude remarks...Thanks alot...Xo~CaReBeAr~oX (link)

I know exactly what you mean. When somebody is in need of advice and all they hear in response is, for example, "you're a self centred loser. get a life and stop being stupid" in regards to them asking advice about, say, cutting themselves, it's only going to serve to make the problem worse. I think if people aren't going to take it seriously then they should be banned or something.

Recently, I've thought about trying to learn the guitar. I don't really know anything about guitars but I also play the clarinet. Does knowing how to read that kind of music help in reading guitar music? And is it really hard to learn it when first starting out? (link)

if you can read staves then that's definitely a good start. you should probably start out on a cheap acoustic/classical guitar and see if you can find some lessons etc. you'll know how hard you need to practice to get good at something if you already play the clarinet so basically apply that to the guitar also. it isn't that hard when you first start out because you can quickly play nice little tunes which makes you feel like your actually getting somewhere, rather than practicing scales all the time etc. Who knows if you keep practisin, one day you might be up there with the greats :p

Last night I had a party because my parents were away. This guy that my friend has a crush on was there and we both made out with him multiple times while she was there.
After she left we were both lying on the floor together and started making out again. Then it started to get a little more serious, and he put his hand up my bra. We went into a bedroom and continued to make out more, and then he sucked on my breast, and then we made out more.
Afterwards I felt horrible and guilty and bad. I talked to my friend and she asked me what happened after she left so I told her that we made out and left out the second part and she wasn't pissed. The problem is that she's going to be hanging out with him and he's probably going to tell people, and it might get back to her.

categorise your notes. spider diagrams etc. Put subheadings and then bullet point key points underneath. get somebody to ask you about what you need to know (if there is anybody there who can test you)

be up front. show people who you are. dont just sit around hoping someone will notice you. You've got to really make a guy notice you (because most of us are kinda dumb and don't realise subtle things, like when a girl wants us to notice her) so yeah, be blunt, but be sexy ;)

ok i go to babrizon modeling skool and i've had this friend we've been tight since tyr-outs......shes 16 im 13.....and i never knew anything about her boyfriend not a name or an age nothin.......ok so i go to my dads house like everyother weekend and sometimes when im over there i go to the neighbors house to hang out.....well his neighbor (15yrs)had a few friends ova(ranging from15-16yrs) and i know im young but i was just havin fun and i kissed a few and then got forced into givin head to one of them........i can always tell my friend everything and since this was a scary thing to deal with i told her about it and it turns out the one who forced me to do that was her boyfriend.....shes mad at me and got everyone in barbizon to think im a slut.....should i be mad at her? i love goin to barbizon but i cant stand going if shes gonna be mean to me she was my best friend there.....how do i deal with this?

i think you've gotta apologise to her and see if you can both start afresh. of course you didnt mean for all of this to happen, but if you can take responsibility for what has happened, she might be willing to be your friend again. it will be hard to take the blame even if you weren't in the wrong. but sometimes people arent looking for the truth of the matter, just a scapegoat.

I hang out with a big group of friends who used to be really nice. My boyfriend and I split up and now our whole group of friends is kind of split down the middle. I don't talk to my ex and he doesn't talk to me and it's really uncomfortable. I still have friends there but I find being around my ex hard and most people there seem bitchy now. I would go and make new friends but there isn't really anyone else that I get along with or click with. What should I do? (link)

hmm well this often happens in school etc after a while because people always change over time and therefore the relationships of friends also change. If you can find one or two people out of the group who you get on with well and start hangin out more. eventually you'll probably end up with your own little group. it definitely isn't worth hanging around with the whole group when it's just like a sinking ship anyway...

i'm 13(male). my brother is 10(male).
i've shared a room with him since the day he was born. when i was 7 or 8, we switched to bunk-beds. the ladder up to the top is prety much the only place of privacy i have, other than the bathroom. my family isn't the richest in the world, but we're in a pretty good financial situation compared to others (my mom is a college professer, my dad is a newswriter). my question is, am i selfish for asking for my own room. we've been searching for about a year give or take, and have been outbid in 3 situations so far. currently we're in the midst of bidding.
sometimes i do feel selfish, because my parents are slightly older, and i feel that i'm taking away too much of their retirement funds. (this isn't exactly all for me, the neighborhood we're in now is pretty bad for them, for ex: my view from my room is at my neighbors dark green pool, 10 feet away, and theirs noise pollution from the other side from a stupid bird, which drives my parents nuts.) so am i asking for too much? try to reason with your parents. ask them what they think about it. "mum, dad, i feel i'm growing up and need my own space. I don't want to sound ungrateful but i think i'd really love a room of my own. is this too much to ask or is there a chance?" etc. and then see what they say. talk to them about it and explain how you feel. they should understand (hopefully!)

Open a bank account. Whenever you find youself with abit of spare cash, put it in the bank. focus on saving all your money into the one place for when you find you really need it. Ie. for a car. and then eventually you can splash out on something extra special. also the interest the money generates whilst in the bank should be quite a nice thought, especially if the money goes into a savings account etc with a high rate of interest.

i'm a guy and i find a girl biting my lips can be kinky and kind of playful. however do NOT do it every single time you make out or else it'll just get boring and not special. just occasionally wen your feeling realy horny or whatever, just gently start biting his lips in a playful way and he's bound to catch on that you want more! So it can be like a sorta signal if you will...
personally i cant say i tend to bite girls lips because i dont know my own strength and one time i accidentally ended up really hurtin her!! oops... :p
