Trust me, you're not the only one who has felt that way. I would say this is a phase. Your body is still maturing, some girls just happened to have "matured" faster than you but it's usually those girls who end up getting knocked up and drop out of college and make nothing of themselves.

I felt fat and ugly and still do sometimes, but about midway through high school boys seemed to all of a sudden like me! Most of them were loser pot heads tho =\. My friends had the same problem, we rarely attracted good guys! But as we got over our self esteem issues things changed and now 3 of my friends are married, I've been with my bf for 3 years (and he's hott!! I didn't think I could get a buff, good lookin guy!!!), and my best friend is just dating around with A LOT of great guys.

Basically all I did was just get over how i felt about myself, I know it's not as easy as it sounds but I hope you manage to get your mind off of these things that you don't have full control of, you'll be much happier and things will happen when they do.

Sometimes parents are sooo stubborn that comprimising with them is not an option so you just have to wear them down! Considering my schedule with school, my job, and my studies, my parents had absolutely NOTHING to ground me from and they realized it after I started refusing to do things for them. They were much more willing to comprimise after that. I still did chores but they were much less demanding.

The problem with making friends and being more social at this point is that most students will figure out that you really want to be H-queen and think that is all you care about. So when you play your cards, you need to keep that in mind. The people that are losers or are 'nobodies' are the majority of most schools (you wouldn't be popular if half the school was too). You should always aim for their votes because most everyone else KNOWS who they are voting for and you befriending them won't change much.

How to become friends with more people? Well it's hard to hate someone who smiles! So smile, and greet people that are just mere aquaintances (but not total strangers, 'cuz they'll know something is up), talk to people in your classes, talk to people standing in the lunch line around you. Basically talk to those within your reach but don't go around looking for people to befriend. You'll spread your name around by doing just these things, which is good 'cuz those who have no clue who to vote for, tend to vote for the name most familiar to them that they favor.

Edit: Some people are acting offended that they should even mutter with word "God". Been there, didn't get any boyfriends til 16. Boys in your age group are retards anyway, so you're not really missing out. TRUST ME, boys in that age group usually just date to so they can brag, they also take red marker to pads and throw them around the school, screaming and making a scene. My personal opinion is don't worry about your dating relationship until you find a plethora of mature guys! You shouldn't even do that. Guys cause drama and fights among your friends, etc. Dating takes a chunk of responsibility and commitment and you're young! Most likely. It's rare that people stay friends immediately after breaking up, that stuff usually happens weeks after the break up.

It could just be awkward for hi to talk to you, now that you two are no longer together, or it could be that he no longer wants to be friends. I can't speak for him, but I think it's safe to say that you should limit or restrain your efforts in contacting him for now.

I would continue to occasionally see him at his work, if he does wish to continue to be friends this will give him opportunity to act.
