15/f - freshman.
Honestly, I'm scared of high school and college. Right now, I attend 9th grade at a junior high. I'm excited for the 'new experiences' in high school that I really didn't get a chance to accomplish in junior high. There's a lot of pressure on me to be a doctor, nevertheless, I have a cousin who is 22 and received a scholarship for a state college, and graduated with straight A's. Everyone in my family expects me to grow up and be like her. And I DO want to be like her. She's extremely smart, pretty, the like. However, sometimes I get nonchalant, and just plain lazy, and don't do my homework until later that night [I usually do it after I come home from school]. I'll do about as much as I feel like, and leave the rest for study hall [which is usually just a science worksheet].
I want to find a major that would be good and beneficial for me.
I'm:
- great with computers, great with figuring out how to set up 'gadgets'.
- fluent in Spanish
- fluent in Russian
- fluent in English [of course].
- a [very] driven tennis player
- a great listener
- good at Math
Yeah, kind of random, I know. I have this minor fear of just ending up in a community college, with only a high school graduation to my name. But I want MORE. I want to make a difference in what I do. I want my family to be proud of me and say "wow, she's really come a long way". I'm terrified of by the time SAT's come around, because I don't do so well on test taking days. I told myself that I'll do better Second Semester. I've been doing extremely well in Math, but Science is my worst subject as of now. The funny part is, is that I do better in Spanish than I do in English! I had a 83% in English, and a 98% in Spanish, last semester.
This was kind of a huge combination of fear/anxiety/and questions rolled into one. A pep talk would be great.. I want to be focused more on the present than the future. I talked with my school counselor, and he told me to choose what I would want to do, because it's my life, and only I can control it. I'm comprehending that part, but how do I stop worrying so much about the future, and start focusing on the present? (link)

The way you describe yourself leads me to believe that you will be able to do almost anything, just set short term goals if you want to stop worrying about the future, but make sure you keep some long term goals as well.
Other than that i would say just chill, and don't worry about it.
You arent even in highschool yet, but i can guarantee you that you will go somewhere other than a community college.

Now i was wondering while in the military, whether it be the Army, or Marines, Navy, etc.. while your in boot camp will they allow a female to put compact on? I'm not talking about a full load of make up with mascara and everything, but atleast some cover up to hide the blemishes.

I need to find a quote about hate. Stopping hate, stopping meanness, any of that.
Right now I have:

i would give it a year or so.
its hard to tell with certain software, as more popular brands will stay popular, and therefore will maintain a high price until demand drops.
Its all about supply and demand, if the company sells alot of one item, then they will raise the price as high as they feel the buyers will pay.
if demand drops, then they will lower teh price in order to reach a wider audience.
With electronics, you also have teh input of newer updates and versions which effect demand.

it depends on whether it gets in the way with your relationship with God, if you feel comfortable that it doesn't hurt that relationship, then go for it.
if not, then you are going to have a tough time
but feeling ashamed is 100% normal, in all guys, in all times, ever.
There are no negative health benefits whatsoever, and anyone whom claims so is wrong.

Pick a chord progression, such as ceg, or fac, then a key signature such as C Major, then basically work off that and add in your own flavor
start with a foundation, and build your way up
same way with lyrics, just look for inspiration, brainstorm random ideas, and write down streams of conciousness
after that just piece together what you like, and form it together with the song.

ok so i am doing this paper on racism in cartoons before 1955 and i am looking for pictures... actually a specific picture.
since this is such a wide topic i chose tom & jerry as my main cartoon and i remember as a kid when they use to put reruns there was this episode where jerry (or tom!) had a dynamite stick that blew up and made his face burn and the artist referenced "black people" by making the lips bigger and "swollen" and added ribbons all over jerry (or tom's) head....
there was also a merry melodies cartoon that had a girl with a fruit basket over her head and another with the ribbons and both with the swollen lips...

Global warming is definitely a real event, and sea levels are going to rise, yet the cause for global warming is more of the issue.
The Earth has always had erratic climate cycles, yet the presence of humanity on earth has increased species loss (by several 1000%), and the emissions of carbon dioxide, methane, and other gases provide no benefits to the atmosphere either.
Basically, the debate is centered on whether its a natural process of events or if its actually humanities fault.
(the cause for the strange whether this year is la nina, by the way)
I believe that we should limit carbon emissions regardless of global warming, considering the burning of fossil fuels also emits dangerous heavy metals which cause further land degradation.
Global warming is happening, sea levels are rising, there will be issues with habitat loss, and all humanity can do is try to limit our impact on it, however large or small it may be.
only a fool would believe that we do not hurt the earth.

yeah i also have issues with that, but i feel that if i "reward" myself with good foods in moderation or small portions, then i can still keep on track with my weight loss. Don't overdo anything, as everything is better in moderation.

i always read the horoscopes in the back of seventeen & cosmo girl magazine. my friends read their horoscopes too, and these things actually happen to them! but nothing ever happens to me, like it'll say something about love, and guess what nothing happens. are these things acurate? tomorrow is suppose to be a "lucky" day for me, i don't think anything good will happen but there's still a part of me thats telling me you never know what can happen. do you believe in horoscopes? horoscopes are bullshit, to put it bluntly.
nothing they say is true unless you want it to be true.
if you approach tomorrow feeling lucky, then you will probably feel luckier in the end (as you will subconsciously notice the lucky parts of the day, and ignore/excuse the unlucky parts.)
so no.
i don't "believe" in horoscopes.

personally i would turn down both (as they have poor memory for the price), and go for teh 80 gig classic, as it functions the same as teh nano, and it has an 800% increase in storage space. even if you don't use all the space for music, you can still use it to back up your computer's harddrive (the 160 gig classic is bigger than my macbook's memory) and transfer information to your friends and whatnot.
but touch beats nano
in memory and functionality
go with touch.

well this guy sat next to me last year. we became friends REALLY good friends. He would flirt with me and i could tell he liked me.. all my friends said he deffinatly did.. but i never told him my true feelings because we were such good friends because i didnt want to lose him as a friend if he said he didnt like me (even though i knew he did) so yeah then summer came and i saw him again in september for school. So i could DEFFINATLY tell he was still intrested in me when school start again. He would stare at me alot and we made eye contact a lot. and like 2 or so weeks ago my friend caught him talking to his friend saying he liked me and all this other stuff. And so like 4 days ago before the weekend and she asked him, "do u like(she said my name" and he half smiled and said nope and then my friend was going to leave and he said ,"i know she likes me." well yesterday and today at school been wierd i caught him multiple times looking at me and he seems to be more shy. I think he likes me alot! but then why did he say he didnt? (link)

I’m very confused about this guy in my math class. I’m seriously not sure whether he likes me or hates me. My mom
He never talks to me unless I talk to him (which is not very often) and whenever I do talk to him, he never looks at me. I sit next to him in math class, and whenever I’m around him, there is always some kind of awkward tension. Generally, though, he seems to avoid me like the plague. But today, when it was time to start doing classwork, I got out my notebook from my backpack, and he tore me out a sheet of binder paper without me asking him.
Oddly, he’s usually very friendly and open around other kids, except for me. My mom told me that when guys like girls, sometimes they behave the exact opposite. Is this true? Does it sound like this is the case in this situation?

I can relate to your situation, as i have never had a girlfriend (or boyfriend). I would suggest patience, as 15 is one of the most hormone driven periods in our lives, and outside pressures don't help it at all.
Your normal, dont worry about it
if you want guys, then just be more open to them, and try to talk them without a group of friends around you, its intimidating to most guy.
thats about all the advice i can give you, i hope it helps some.

okay so i like four guys. lets call them ABC&D.
A: he told me he liked me. i can trust him with anything. he can trust me with anything. we talk all the time on the phone, basically every night. we flirt all the time and he like tells me he wants to kiss me and stuff. but when we hang out hes awkward and i dont like him as much. he doesnt go to my school either. ive stayed up all night two nights this week talking to him. like hes really amazing when we talk on the fone. i think he may like this other girl too that i hate, but he says he doesnt.
B: he also told me he liked me. but he likes this other girl too. hes liked her for a longgg time. hes liked me for a few months. he says he doesnt wanna like the other girl because she will never like him back and stuff. ive been talking to him on the phone a little lately and hes really cute. and like i actually like him when i see him in person. he also goes to a different school.
C: hes one of my best friends. he goes to my school. we've gone out before during the summer before freshman year. hes really nice we always talk online and sometimes text. we flirt sometimes and hes just like a fun kid to talk to.

Firstly, i have to laugh at myself, because im in the same situation as B, secondly, i would go with A or C, because with B hes going to always like that other girl until someone else comes along that he likes more, and D is probably not as great as you anticipate him to be.

I just bought an ipod classic (80g) but it says it required itunes 7.4 to run
I have Windows 2000 and 7.4 itunes required windows xp or vista to download!
SO is there ANY way i can get my ipod to work on my computer (link)

Yeah go to an apple store (they are amazing)
but if you want to update to other people's library's, then all you have to do is set it to "manual update" or something to that effect, that way you can drag the songs you want onto your ipod, and if your friends delete songs you can still keep them if you want.
Also, you can use multiple computers and expand your music collection...the only drawback is that if you have to reformat your ipod, all the music goes away and it may be hard to collect it again.
