17/f. I play both acoustic guitar and electric guitar (I prefer acoustic) and I would like to write a song.
Can anyone help me?
How do I make a really good piece of music that people will want to listen to?
And maybe help with putting words to it.
But mostly at this point I just want help with how to make a really good piece of music, can anyone help?
I guess it can either be fast and catchy or slow and beautiful.
Thanks so much to anyone who can help me.
xx

LordHumperdink answered Monday January 14 2008, 9:28 pm: Pick a chord progression, such as ceg, or fac, then a key signature such as C Major, then basically work off that and add in your own flavor
start with a foundation, and build your way up
same way with lyrics, just look for inspiration, brainstorm random ideas, and write down streams of conciousness
after that just piece together what you like, and form it together with the song.

What I would do is sit down in a quiet area and play around with some melodies on the guitar and try putting meaningful words into the beat, words that mean something to you and that will touch peoples hearts...like, love or heartbreak.
Write from your past experiences and put your heart and soul into it, I'm sure everybody will enjoy it if it comes from you and onl you :]
xxoo Good luckk
