avalonavalon answered Monday January 14 2008, 9:54 pm: Yes, ofcourse a 6 mega pixel is great! Honestly the picture quality of a camera doesn't always have to do with the mega pixels. Higher mega pixels are mostly important to people who crop there images for whatever reason.
Personally I recommend Canon powershot cameras- they have some newer ones out too- they're all absolutely amazing.
Besides that- sony cameras provide good quality images and always have an extraordinary macro setting, which allows you to get really close to objects.
Samsung isn't that well known when it comes to digital cameras. I've read reviews that have said that their samsung digital cameras deliver terrible pictures/quality.

queenhearts answered Monday January 14 2008, 9:50 pm: 6 megapixel is okay for quality. Try to go for at least a 7 or 8 if you want great pictures.
Canon and Nikon are great. I like Canon's Powershots more. I heard Samsung cameras were okay. I just don't know anyone personally that owns one.
