Hey. I quit my job in August. I never said why I quit, my mom called because she thought that she should talk to her idk why. She told my mom she'd rehire me because I was a good worker, I'd just have to call her when I'm ready. I don't know if I have the guts to call her. I mean what should I say? What if she ask me why I quit or something.?
Additional info, added Monday January 14 2008, 9:37 pm: I quit because I was so frustrated with it. I can't find a job now I applied to atleast 10 places and never heard back..
Uhm, I quit without notice and thats why my mom called in. but she said she would rehire me
However, just remember it's over the phone, and try and focus on your tone and voice staying clear and confident.
Just remember she is okay with rehiring you, so she can't be that mad and appreciates you as a worker.
When you call up, if the person you're looking for answers (which I would assume she will, since managers have to answer the phone) just explain to her you want your job back.
If she does ask why you left, say a bit of an exaggerated lie. Say you were going on a long-ish holiday and didn't want to let the team down or something. She will only want the answer why you left, not a huge recap with heaps of details so don't get worked up over that.
And that's all you really need to say. She'll ask questions, just things like when you want to start work again and small things like that.

If so, sounds like the employer was ok with it.
If its a job you want back then give her a call
and ask for a job. If she asks just say you left
for personal reasons. She doesn't need details. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
