It's most likely a cyst. A cyst is just a pocket of fluid. I had one and it popped on it's own. If you want to pop it on your own be sure it's ready or you're gonna be in a world of hurt! Soak in a hot bath to soften it up, then push on both sides of it. Nasty stuff should come out after that.

It could also be and ingrown hair(ouch!)
If it is, pick at it until you can see the hair then remove it with tweezers. Then put some peroxide on it and you should be good to go.

Hey you said you were on depo provera before. Did you stop getting your period right away? Cuz I have not gotten mine since the shot. My doctor told me I wouldnt get it...but every web site i read says you stop getting after a couple months.

Personally I haven't had a period since the shot and it's been 2 months.

Im 14/f. So, everytime I shave down there I always get like razor burn or little red bumps. Ive tried shaving in a diffrent direction, just water, soap and water, shaving cream. But it still happens, do any girls know a way to make it stop doing that?

I think no matter which way you do it, everyone gets razor bumps when the hair grows back...but this website had lots of tips to prevent/treat razor burn.

Okay, so im 14 and all and i've been having my period for 2 years, btw. But anyways to the point: Last night my boyfriend fingered me for the first time. i'm not planning to go to college. one, i don't want to be far away from the people i care about, and two, i REALLY hate school with a passion, and would greatly enjoy being done with it when i graduate highschool. i'm just not a good worker, nor have i ever been. i wouldn't want my parents to waste their money sending me to do something i don't want to do.

i just got off the phone with my boyfriend's mom. she said he has a kidney disease that is sort of like AIDS but it's not, and it's not contagious. apparently, she wasn't supposed to tell me because my boyfriend didn't want me to know, i guess he didn't want me to worry or react like she is. but she thought she should let me know, since we've been together for almost a year. we love eachother so much and i plan to marry this guy and spend the rest of my life with him. she said he should be okay, but you never know. she's putting most of her faith in God, but as we know, God can't cure everything. He let's innocent people die all the time.

but the point is, she made me promise not to let my boyfriend know that i know. and that's going to be really hard for me, since i'm already getting depressed over the thought of losing him. i need to know if anyone else has ever been in this position, and what they did to cope. or for anyone who hasn't, just let me know how to keep my cool around him and not freak out and start crying. i know he doesn't want that. he wouldn't want me to suffer with this burden, and i really wish his mother hadn't told me. any advice? thanks in advance.

When you're with him next, treasure your time together. Crying and being sad takes up the time that could have been spent laughing, kissing, cuddling, holding hands, baking cookies together. Since I personally have never been in this situation I can't tell you not to cry...but first make as many happy memories as you can. And if God works his miracles and nothing happens, you still have all those memories to look back on.

my cat had to go to the pet hospital for something, and during the exam the doctor said that she had gingivitis. the pet hospital visit alone was $400, and i cannot afford to treat my cats gingivitis.

my question is, is there anything i can do to help her myself? could i start brushing her teeth? i cant change the food she eats but anything else? i read online that if it gets too bad it can cause huge problems like organ failure.

My cat oliver had Gingivitis and we had to buy a special cat toothbrush and toothpaste. NEVER use human toothpaste on animals!! If the Gingivitis is in an early stage the plaque will be soft and can be brushed off. They also make crunchy cat treats to help remove tartar plaque build-up. If the Gingivitis is bad and the soft plaque has turned to a hard crust then the only thing that can really help is for the vet to remove the hardened plaque.

I've met someone fabulous and who I think I may have fallen for. We ar both in our 40's, met on the internet, exchanged a few e-mails regularly for almost 2 months, until I had enough nerve to finally call him and we've hit it off pretty good. How often do we find special ones who are only intrersted in what is on the inside more than on the outside? This guy is one of those types. He didn't care what I looked like. When we finally met in person, we hit it off very well, because I fell attracted to him. He called daily afterwards, even when he was out of town for a week with friends. He even told me that he loved me and he could be mine if I wanted. It was a bit awkward initially, but I replied, "I could see that happening down the road if things worked out for us". I told him about something traumatic that happened to me on his way back home from his out of town trip and I think my honesty may have un-nerved him for his calls stopped and when I called him to find out why--asking also if he had a change of heart and if I should back off, he claimed that he has just been very busy with "end-of-the-year" stuff to wrap up and they must be priority right now(he is a small business owner). He said that he will call me back. He returned a couple, but never initiated any calls. He has taken some of my calls and has remained very brief, stating that he will call back because he is busy...but hasn't yet.(last call to him was 5 nights ago) I am still hopeful for he did say that he will call back, but am hurt, confused, devastated and scared to lose someone special. What do you think may have happened all of the sudden? Could all of this be coincidental and everything he is saying is indeed the truth? I don't know...

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt...but in this case I wouldn't. Telling him about the traumatic experience may have scared him off. If I was you I would call him and ask him if that's what happened. He said he loved you for who you are on the inside, and that traumatic experience helped make you who you are. If he can't accept your honesty about what happened then he doesn't deserve you.

okay so for the past three days i've felt horrible.
my throat hurts really bad especially when i swallow. my nose is very congested. i can't breathe and the mucus is like yellow/light green. very tired (slept 15 hours). no appetite whatsoever kinda nausea. but i don't have a fever. and on top of it all i'm on my period and got cramps for the very first time today:/

i can't go to the doctor and i'm taking 2 benadryl.

do you think it's just a cold?

If I was you I would try my hardest to get to a doctor because you might have mononucleosis(mono).
Mono is a viral infection that causes sore throat, fever(which you don't have), and swollen glands behind your ears.Mono usually begins slowly with fatigue, a general ill feeling, headache, and sore throat. The sore throat slowly gets worse. Your tonsils can become swollen and develop a whitish-yellow covering. My friend had mono and was out of school for 3 weeks, and lost 20lbs!!

You probably have something wrong with your urethra(where pee comes out). From what you describe it may be a cyst, which is just a sac that grows abnormally. You really need to tell your mom so you can go to the hospital and have it fixed.

Do one thing at a time. Buy a "emo" braclet on week, and a shirt the next week. Keep buying 1 or 2 things a week and maybe it won't bother your parents. If you went from how you are now to "emo" in a very short time it may freak your parents out.

Alright so I am on the depo provera shot for about 3 weeks or so. It is right around the time of my normal period. Last night i noticed i had very light pink discharge. I know that can be a early sign of pregnancy but i really do not think i am because when ever I've had sex while on the shot we used a condom or he pulled out. Could this pink discharge just be a result of the hormonal changes from the shot? I'm concerned...

I'm on the shot and I had pink discharge for about 2 days. I went to my gyno and she said that pink, brown, or red spotting was normal. I highly doubt you're pregnant since depo provera is such a potent birth control.
