Shaving down there..

Question Posted Sunday December 13 2009, 9:28 pm

Im 14/f. So, everytime I shave down there I always get like razor burn or little red bumps. Ive tried shaving in a diffrent direction, just water, soap and water, shaving cream. But it still happens, do any girls know a way to make it stop doing that?

I use conditioner to shave. I found this to be the best solution to this problem that I used to have myself. Also, first shaving downwards than upwards helps alot. Agreeing with answers below, definitely change your razors frequently and shave a couple times a week. You are less likely to burn or get bumps when there is less hair there to get rid of. And, always apply lotion afterwards to any area you shave. Hope I helped!

It could be the razor that you're using. It's probably dull so when you shave it's irritating your skin which causes those bumps.

Try using a new razor. Maybe shave with shaving cream first, then soap. Once you get out of the shower/bath, get some moisturizing lotion & rub it in. That should help.

i suggest buyin an electric trimmer, they sell some with a razor on one end and a trimmer on the other.
what i do is only shave 1-2 times a week which gives your skin a chance to heal (you can still keep it shaped if you wantt if you wear a bathin suit alot or somethin) and wash down there every time you shower. use the electric trimmer to get all the long hairs, and then shave downward with the razor to get the short ones. also, use a moisturizin body wash when you do it so it doesnt dry out your skin. when i do this i dont get razor burn :)

good luck !
