♥Hey, what's up? I'm Mari (aka TG...please don't ask!) and if you need any help with ANYTHING, I'm your girl! I'm pretty young and can be a total random psycho sometimes...all the time, but people tell me all the time that my deep thoughts, strong opinions, and excellent people skills makes me great for giving advice! My friends are always coming to me for it.I never ignore a question,though there are times i just won't be able to answer because, no matter how much i try to hide it, i don't know everything, so please don't be disappointed if i don't answer your question and don't let it stop you from asking me more. Also, please try to keep in miind that i DO have a life too, and as much as i love helping you guys, my life doesn't revolve completely around advicenators, so i won't be here every day, but don't worry! Ok so I have a good amount of friends and everything... but I am a bit shy. I just know I'd have WAY more friends if I was more outgoing. It's just really hard for me. Can I have advice on how to become more outgoing... and what I should do? Thanks.

well, i'm pretty outgoing myself, but i wasn't always that way. but the thing is that whole "be yourself" thing really works! i can be a little annoying sometimes, but that's because i'm being myself. also, learn to laugh at yourse;f, and people might think it's a little weird, but they'll later think "she's cool!" i had the most embarrassing thing happen to me last week, i (shhhhhhhh....slipped...), but even though it kind of hurt, and everyone was laughing at me, i started laughing too! i'm probably dumb, but if i started crying or something, imagine how much worse it could've been! laugh more! and make others laugh with you! even if you think something is funny when no one else think so, just laugh! if you have an opinion that's kind of weird, but you believe others should see it that way too, then say it out loud! if you've heard a funny joke, but don't want to share it, why not? if you fee like just saying hi to a really cute guy, go for it! it's like being on a rollercoaster (i hope you've been on one, otherwise my example's screwed!). the first time you keep thinking "what if i fall? what if i get shocked what if i die what if what if what if......" but once you've gone on it you think "it's just a ride! come on!" if you want something, go for it! just think to yourself, "just do it!!! what the worst that could happen?" i know, it sound cliche'd and you don't think it's just that simple, but it is! just do it just do it just do it! once i was on xxsammiwammi's advice column, and on the side it says "live life like there's no tomorrow" and you really should do it. if you don't do something because you're too shy to do it, you'll keep thinking up even more what-if's. i'm not saying start out with the daredevil thing, but with small simple steps at a time. i hoipe i helped!!! now go play truth or dare...and pick dare!! *MaRi*
one group of my friends drink a lot and i dont really care that much about it. im not against it or anything. my only concern is that i know sometime i will be involved in a situation where i will be asked if i want a drink... the thing is, i have never drank before, i don't want to say no, but i don't want to get the reputation that i always do that stuff. whats your advice?

ha. um... well, do you really want to drink? if you do, there's nothing i could do about it, but i would advise you not to. of course, if you really don't, there's nothing wrong with saying no. it's really not that hard. if someone asked you " hey do you want to drink this horrible tasting stuff that might get you a bad rep and get you sick to your stomach?", you would say no, wouldn't you? this is pretty much the same. abou the " i don't want to get the reputation that i always do that stuff" part, you probably won't get the reputation that you ALWAYS do that, but it might spread. plus, if people hear about it, they might think that since you did it once, you'll probably want to do it again. then they'll try to pressure you into it more, and it'll be easier for them, too. think about it. Okay there is this guy named Justin which I am going out with him. And there is this other guy that I like named Michael. Well, Michael doesn't like me, only as a friend. But I am going out with Justin and he likes me alot but i don't like him. Should I stay together with Justin(even though I don't like him) or should I brake up to try and get togehter with Michael(even though he doesn't like me ?).
okay, this is a little weird stuation, but here's what i think you should do: break up with Justin. gently, of course. it's just wrong to lead him on like that. and the longer you wait, the harder ON him and FOR you it'll be. as for you friend Michael, if you really like him and think you at least have a chance, then you should give it a try. if it doesn't work out, then that's not your fault and it probably wasn't meant to be and at least you guys are at least friends (unfortunately, it wasn't like that for me, so you're lucky.). you should at least give it a try.

okay, i know you're probably getting this a lot, but if she's making you smoke weed with her, it looks like she's already not your friend. if YOU don't want to smoke weed, you shouldn't let your "friend" get in the way of your good judgement. follow your gut. don't you think that if a friend smokes, then their friend should help them? well, your "friend" is actually trying to MAKE you do this! also, if you think you still want to be her friend, think of what will happen to YOU if you start.LONG STORY SHORT, IMAGINE THAT YOU ARE NOT ASKING THIS QUESTION.PRETEND IT'S SOMEONE ELSE'S QUESTION.WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE THEM??? THAT SHOULD ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. also, this has nothing to do with your question, but i also suggest you help her with her problem of smoking. you might think this is corny, but think of the "friendship: the anti-drug" thing. it might help you.i REALLY hope i helped, and tell me if it all works out, ok?
