Okay new topic, I have like no guy friends at all. I really want some just because its nice to be able to talk to some one who isn't a girl, so what are some good ways to strike up conversations?

Wow I have a regular caller! I feel so proud.

Anyways, it can be hard to strike up a conversation at the best of times, especially with someone who has no common interests. If you are in the same place at the same time, as long as you are polite I don't see why you can't start talking to someone at any time, but it's certainly easier if you have something to talk ABOUT.

Pick your situations well- if you are somewhere you like being (ice rink, library, particular shop, wherever) chances are the people there too will have at least one interest in common with you and that gives you a topic to talk about.

I find the best ways to start a conversation are generally a question or a compliment. Sometimes it can be both e.g.- 'I really like your shoes, where did you get them?' From there you can find another topic to talk about related to where you are and what you are doing. Then, just introduce yourself. If your looking to keep someone interested in talking, say a little about yourself but remember to keep asking about them too.

Two things, numero uno- don't be pushy. If people think you are making a big effort to talk to them, they might think you're weird. If the conversation dies on its own, just let it happen. Say, 'it was nice to meet you' and leave it at that. Then if you bump into them again you know them to greet them.
Second, the second I think I HAVE to say something- i freeze up. Don't put too much thought into it, just be natural.

Hope this helps, peace out.

what the heck, does PWNS mean? i may be stupid :?) for not knowing but everyone one seems to use it.

As in 'pwns?' As in "Man, Van Halen totally pwns Slash" or "that guy pwns you at football"?

If I've got the context right its internet slang for 'owns'- as in a form of domination. If something 'pwns' it is better that something else (like 'ownage' in the same context).

It's part of the whole 'l33t' thing that's sprung up in the internet, especially among gamers. Go figure.

Try www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pwns for more definitions.

I don't mind that he calls, however he beats around the bush alot. I have had a crush on him but I don't want to get hurt by him, he has a reptuation as a player, so I'm going with the 'can't play the playa' mind frame.
When you said "He says he doesn't want a relationship but from the way it sounds I think he's on to a pretty good thing as it it" what did you mean?
We don't just makeout, it's the sex too. It's enjoyable for both of us.
I just wonder why he calls so much - when alot of times he seems not even interested in getting laid or anything even when I am.

When I said he seemed like he was on to a pretty good thing I meant exactly that- many guys dream of a fwb relationship that doesn't look like it would turn around and bite them.

Basically if I had to be definate I'd say he's starting to like you more- hence the calls. If you enjoy the fwb relationship then I wouldnt do anything about it too soon, just keep the relationship as it is, but bear in mind what I said. Watch what he says and ask yourself whether he seems interested in making your relationship exclusive, because I reckon thats what he's hoping. If I'm wrong, then nothing lost, and if I'm right, then you can decide yourself whether you want to take the relationship to the next level.

You seem like you have a pretty good handle on this already. Just take it slow and don't lose patience and I think it'll all be cool.

I'm 17/f and I've known my best friend, Ryan (well, ex best friend) literally my whole life. Our dad's were best friends in high school and they live next door.

Well, Ryan and I used to be really close. We hung out all the time and were really good friends. We hung out with the same group of people and I thought I knew everything about him. About 2 years ago, I was in his room waiting for him to get out of the shower and I was just looking around when I found LSD tabs and pills that I couldn't identify.

I waited for him to get out and I asked him about it. Turns out that he had some friends that I didn't know about and he had been into drugs and such for a few months. I couldn't believe what he was saying and even more so, I couldn't believe that I didn't suspect anything.

He told me not to say anything to anyone but I refused and said that I at least was going to tell his older brother and see what he thought about it. We argued about it for a while and he told me that he did not do it that much, it wasn't a big deal and that he would stop. So I trusted him and didn't say anything.

Long story short, I shouldn't have trusted him. His parents put him in Rehab a while after and he's supposed to be clean now.

Well, we haven't been talking as much lately and I don't really see him at the usual parties and friends' houses and things but I just thought he didn't want to see me because we had gotten into a big fight a few months ago (reason to why we weren't talking).

I was at the mall yesterday and I saw him there with a guy named Zach. This guy was the one that had gotten him into drugs. Seriously, he's the biggest druggie anyone knows.

Know I don't know what to do because I'm not certain he's doing drugs again for sure. But, I don't want to keep it from his parents again because I don't want it to end up like it did 2 years ago. And, I'm not sure how he'll take me asking him about it considering we don't really talk anymore.

What should I do?

This might not be what you want to hear.

If you want to help and then leave the relationship at that, then mention what you saw and what you think to his parents, tell them not to freak out about it and to just start keeping an eye on him. Tell him not to let him know it was you that said anything if you care about that.
If you want to really see him off drugs, and maybe even salvage the friendship, you probably have to prepare yourself to be treated like crap. The intervention of a close friend, even one from the past, can often be helpful in dealing with drug addictions, so if you made up with him and tried to help him out you could really do some good. But in the process, he'll definately lie to you, might steal from you, constantly disappoint you and you'll need the patience of a friggin' saint.

Regardless, I think you should let his parents know. My feelings on narcotics are complicated, but drug addiction is a disease and it needs to be dealt with.

I hope it works out for him, but don't beat yourself up too much. You care, and that makes a real difference.

Okay so i go to a small high school i'll be a senior, and i hang out with this group of people and i mean we're all really close, and it's really weird cause theres i'd say about.. 50-60 of us, but we all hang out at school at lunch together and take up this big spot and everything. Anyways there's guys and girls. I really want to have a birthday party this year i'll be turning 17. because i didn't do anything for my 16th really and i haven't ad one since like 6th grade. but i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to do with so many people. my friend had her 16th bday at this big hotel room thing..like whats downstairs..and there was a dance floor and a dj and food and stuff. so i dont really want that. i would just feel bad if i didn't invite some people cause we're all like best friends..and thats what makes it hard. 50 best friends? whaatt.. i mean i have ONE BEST BEST friends, but everyone else is pretty much the same. any ideas?
oh and my bdays in november.

Man this is a toughie. I was gonna say 'barbeque' straight away but your birthday is in November which means the weather is likely to be crummy. Unless you wanna move your birthday party forward (which might be a good idea) you'll have to find somewhere inside that can fit all your friends. You could always go down the old 'disco' style party route, or if you had a friend with a huge house you could have the party there. as long as you make it 'by invitation only' you could invite all your mates and keep out any undesirables. Well, i hope that was SOME help, but if you do go for a bbq and move the party forward sens me another question, cos me and my girlfriend are doing one and have been planning it forever.

okay i have a major problem

my school has the biggest clique system EVER....like you wouldn't believe how many cliques there are. Its such a big deal....and its really get on my nerves to the point where I can't concentrate on my school work and my grades are slipping. This is because I'm at the bottom of the pit I only have a few friends (1 or 2) but still I wish I had more and theres a certain group that I would like to make friends with and they seem nice but I'm soo shy and people say I'm one of the shyest girls in the grade and that I hardly speak. I know I should speak more but its hard for me and I think I have social anxiety. Please help as high school is starting next year and I don't know whether to switch schools or change my image at the school I am going to (the school I am at has the grades pre-k till 12th). Also my school is one of the best schools in the nation and that is another reason why I am having a tough time deciding whether to leave it simply because of the cliques. I heard someone call me a reject and a loser at school....and to be honest I am a reject, but I know I'm not a loser. Please help, thank you sooo much!!

Is every American High School like this? In England we don't really have a 'clique' system. Sure there's groups of common interest but nothing like this. So I'll try to give advice but i may be completely off. Could you not try to meet people out of school? Maybe join a gym or a sports club, or something you want to learn. That way you can meet people who aren't bothered by the whole clique thing and wont be a jerk just for the sake of their image.

What are some good revenge things for evil people?

Find something they own and use often e.g. a car, and bag, a favourite item of clothing. Buy yourself a packet of fresh, frozen prawns. Take a prawn and place it in or around the item, somewhere they wont find it (ie, under a car seat, in the lining of a bag or jacket). After a few days the prawn will begin to go bad, and stink like you wouldn't believe. Hopefully they wont be able to figure out where the smell is coming from, until they smell is irremovable and their popularity has plummeted. Hope that works, if not, I have a whole bunch, so ask me a few more questions.
