I am a grade ten and I am required to take 'Planning 10' this year. It is a mandatory CAPP (career and personal planning) class. I was going to hand in an assignment today (on time) but asked the teacher if I could borrow her holepuncher (so I could put it in the required folder) but she said she didn't have one. She also said that I would lose 50% on the assignment automatically.
Hole punching was not part of the criteria so I feel like I should not lose so many marks. On my last assignment the whole class got 90-100% but I got 54%. I am a straight A student and try exceptionally hard on my work yet she gives me terrible marks for no reason. I even do assignments when I feel like they invade my privacy.
I have had enough. Am I overreacting? Who can I speak to about this other than her? She doesn't have a whole lot of common sense and I do not feel comfortable talking to someone so unfair.
Thanks so much (link)

What the f? She's in no way qualified to do this. Complain to the head of dept or someone of higher rank and capable of seeing that justice is done. Make sure she gets it.
You are not in the least bit at fault.

I'm taking a poll and I'm curious what people think the most spoken language is. Don't search the site or look at other people's answers and see. I want what YOU think. (link)

For my englihsh class we have to make 10 comparisons of celebrities.
An example: Will Ferrel is as tall as Vince Vaghun.
That basically means I need 20 celebrities, in pairs of what they have alike.
So far I have,
1. Marilyn Monroe is as talented as James Dean.
2. Jessica Simpson is as blonde as Christina Aguilera.
3. Jeff Corwin likes crocodiles as much as Steve Irwin.
4. Jim Carrey is as funny as Robin Williams.
Can anyone help me think of more pairs of celebrities that have things in common?? THANK YOU! :] (link)

1)Arnold Schwarzenegger is as muscular as ____( I cant think of anyone for the moment)
2)Tom Cruise is as charming as Pierce Brosnan
3)Eva Longoria is as short as kristin kreuk
4)Beyonce is as busty as Tyra Banks

So like now hes back in the US( i moved from there and im really far away) so yeah and me and my friend switched schools to the school he was going 2 cuz we hated our school and now i think a lot of people hate me because he spread rumors about me and like i know most of you r gonna say just b urself and ignore them but thats easier said than done because like i dont want people to hate me and stuff...wat should i do?? PLEASE HELP!! (link)

Wow. Did you realise that your question has only 2 sentences? Anyway, such stuff aside. I've read and re-read your question cos it's a little hard to understand and I hope I did interpret it correctly.
Firstly, why did you switch to a school where he's currently going? Correct me if I'd interpreted this wrongly.
Are you sure people at school hates you just cos of the dumb rumours that he spread? He may hate you but that doesn't mean the others do. Verify that fact first before jumping to conclusions.(because in your question you said you "think" people at school hates you).
Besides, I don't think people will be pre-occupied with such trivial rumours he has to say bout you.
Imagine yourself as someone whom he has spread the rumour to. What will be your reaction? I guess you'd probably say 'ew' and forget bout it after a while.
People have their own things to do , own lives to lead and own pre-occupations. Even if there are really idiotic people out there who'd care so much bout this rumour, what can you do to stop these assholes? Why do you even bother to care bout what they think? People who indulge in gossips and in critising other's bad points are in fact the ones who are the most insecure.
If there are people who refuse to talk to you cos of this, I guess you shouldnt even be friends with them. While you're in school, you'll slowly make new friends. And these friends, (assuming they've heard bout the rumour) once they start talking to you, their misconception bout you will start to shake off. Don't worry bout things that are beyond your control.
If you are at a total loss bout what to do, take things one step at a time. Force yourself to concentrate in your studies first and throw away all those worries bout people hating you. Don't brood over the matter. The more you think bout it, the longer it seems to stay. The more you try to ignore the problem, the faster it'd go away and it'll be gone even before you know it.
Talk to people in your class, don't behave like you're very conscious bout the whole rumour issue, be nice, be friendly, don't try too hard though just let things go with the flow. Time will heal everything. Don't stress yourself too much. Don't worry. Tell yourself to shut out the worries of tomorrow and concentrate on doing your best for today and today only.

I have a biology test tomorrow. So much information will be covered on it. When you study, are you supposed to memorize everything, or are you just supposed to review notes until you're familiar with everything? (link)

Pick out the impt info you know will definitely come out. Come up with your own notes. In the process of coming up with your own notes, you'll be reviewing those topics as well.

Hey hi! I used to be really bad at math too. so much that I feel like crying everytime I can't solve a math question.
But don't worry. I dare tell you that math is one of the easiest subject to score. See, wat you can do, is that you can buy math assessment books from book stores. Better if they provide step by step solutions.
Lock yourself in the room with a glass of water and perhaps a box of cookies to munch on. Start with a topic that you're best at for some encouragement. Next, try out a rather tough topic and keep practising. Keep going at it. Nevermind if you keep getting it wrong just keep practising, look thru your notes or step by step solutions to guide you through. The key to solving math problems is to be able to see the "patterns" or rather, to be able to see wat steps you always have to apply in order to solve that particular type of math problem. Soon, you'll get the hang of it. If you're bad at algebra, it'll be excellent if you have like 100 algebra questions to practise on. The more the better. Ask for help if you need it and it'll do you good. Trust me, math is fun once you manage to crack the "patterns".
AND yes, Practise makes perfect. =)

I am 13 and i am latino i have friends but i keep get a fealling that my friends don't really want to hang out with me. Thank you (link)

Do you have that feeling because they try to avoid you at all costs and tend to have gatherings without you?
Or you could be reading too much into their actions and wat they say?
Try talking to them bout it. Not directly though. Like maybe you can say "hey you guys free tmr? wanna hang out?" See wat they have to say and if they keep rejecting you whenever you try to organise any outings with them, ditch them. Seriously, they're not worth your time. Go look for someone else. No matter where you are, you'll definitely find at least 1 person whom you can go with =)
