"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place."
I'm an optimist. I can find the beauty in anything. I'm creative. I love spontaneity, peace, & parties. I'm the farthest thing from shy. There's not one person on this earth that I don't care about. I like deep conversations, change, & random acts of kindness. Every emotion I feel is ten times as strong as yours. I have alot of empathy for other people. I'm real open minded & liberal. All I want to do is make at least one person's life a little easier. :D
advice
Does anyone know where to get a gloomy beeear ?
I live in Stroudsburg, PA.
Anywhere close ? (:
Thaaanks
It's a pretty small company so I don't think you're gonna be finding any stores nearby, but you can order it online. They'll have a bigger selection there anyway. You just gotta borrow your mom/dad/whoever's credit card if you don't have one and you're all set. It shouldn't take more than 2 weeks for it to come in. :D

ive dyed my hair a LOT. ive had it every color of the rainbow, and every shade of every color in the rainbow. but ive grown up, so now im stickin to the natural look. the problem is its damaged and frizzy.
i curl my hair by scrunchin it with gel because its the ONLY way to wear it without straightenin it (and i dont wanna do that because its already damaged duh). but when i used a normal amount of conditioner for my hair, it doesnt curl and it is just frizzy.
what can i do to help repair & de-frizz my hair without it bein a conditioner that ruins my hairstyle ? like a shampoo or a once a month cream thing. i tried the pantene mask thing and it hasnt worked.
THANKS ! :)
Just my opinion, but pantene sucks. That Ice Shine's like the only thing that works and I used to love it, but now I can't use it.
If you wanna see the best results, go to a PROFESSIONAL hair stylists somewhere and ask them what products they suggest. I use Liquid Keratin shampoo & conditioner and it works REALLY good. Plus I use a deep conditioner a few times a week that's by Fekkai. Also try adding 5mg (or 5,000 mcg--same thing) of Biotin in everyday. It really helps your hair grow, keeps it healthy, & stops hair loss. Alsooo, you need a good leave in conditioner. I use Biosilk Silk Therapy before I dry my hair and after, and I love it; It makes your hair realllllly shiney too.
You'll always get really good results with professional products (minus the Biotin since that's just a vitamin), so be prepared to spend some money on this if you want your hair to get healthy again!
Believe me, I know where you're at! I decided to be a dumbass and get my hair permanently straightened. It worked okay, but now I have SUPER thin hair and I have to use the most delicate/repairing professional products and everything. It's not easy to do either.
Anyway, good luck! :D
I recently straightened my hair permanently. And now, I am getting hair loss and my hair is thinning! what should i do??? please dont say "go to a doctor" because i am not going to go to a doctor. any other advices??
I just had this happen to me! Haha, I freeeaked out, so I know how you're feelin'.
First of all, go to a nutrition store and get 5,000 mcg or 5mg (they're both equal) of Biotin. It helps stop hairloss and it helps your hair get thicker/healthier. Plus it helps it grow faster. It works really good if you take it once a day for a couple months, trust me.
Go to a place like Ulta or something and get Liquid Keratin Shampoo and the Liquid Keratin conditioner with it. It works really good. Since the straightening basically stripped your hair, these products work by adding keratin & other nutrients back into it. I love em:D This is what the bottle will look like btw: http://www.skinstore.com/p-12990-Liquid-Keratin-Infusing-Healthy-Hair-DeFrizz-Shampoo.aspx?affiliatecode=GAk216835
Avoid blow drying/straightening your hair for a while. If you MUST do either, get a bottle of Biosilk Silk Therapy and run it through your hair after you get out the shower and then again before you put any type of heat on it. Don't use alot though. The bottle will look like this: http://stylewithanna.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/a_biosilk.jpg
Do a deep conditioning treatment AT LEAST twice a week. I use the one by Fekkai: http://freshfragrancesandcosmetics.com/Photos/87600.jpg
It works really good for me as long as you leave it on for at least twenty minutes. I use it about three times a week.
Hope I helped! :D
Okay, can anyone tell me an AMAZING product they've tried that actually works for UNBELIEVABLY frizzy/curly hair. My hair is AWFUL and i can't do anything with it. Suggest creams (any kind), shampoo/conditioner, products you use before straightening, ANYTHING. Also if you have any good ideas for a really good straightener or any hair styling tips.
ANY help is appreciated. Thanks guys!
Every other day I'll use Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle on my hair. Use a deep conditioner at least once a week. It keeps your hair healthier.
I ALWAYS let my hair air dry. DO NOT BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR! It will only make it more puffy, believe me.
What I use that I REALLY think works is this product called Biosilk. It's by the company that makes the Chi straightener. It makes your hair softer, shiny, and it definitely gets rid of frizz for the most part.
I've given it a friend before cause she always asked what I put in my hair and she said it worked real good. You just can't use alot or you'll end up with greasy hair and wanting to kill me for suggesting this product to you. Haha, just use like a dime sized drop - maybe less, depending on how thick your hair is - and rub it together in your hands and run it through your hair before you straighten it when it's dry. Straighten in it sections too by clipping it up if you want your hair to get straighter unless you already do that.

It might be a little on the expensive side but it is SO worth it.
+ Get a Chi straightener. They're the best. I just have the original one. Here's the link with a picture of it: http://z.hubpages.com/u/61673_177.jpg
And if you wanna read more about the straighteners, go here:

Hope I helped! :D
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE IN NEW YORK STATE TO GO TANNiNG *WiTH* A PARENTS C0NSENT?!
http://www.ncsl.org/programs/health/tanningrestrictions.htm
If you scroll down and look for the New York section on that site, this is what it says:
"Children under 14 prohibited; minors age 14 to 18 must have signed permission from a parent or guardian to use the facilities; the signature must be obtained by the facility operator in person and is only valid for twelve months."
So, you have to be at least 14 years old.
Hope I helped. (:
ok so a few people told me that curly hair is more attractive when i asked thi question but i dont really care to be honest.
i like straight hair!!
so the thing is that i want my hair to be really straight an nice looking, like hers http://www.spasalon.com/deonne/images/chi.gif
[the second pic]
how can i get my hair like that? i already hhave dead straight hair :P
it's not curly or anything, i just want it to appear the same way as in the pic.
my hair is quite long : down to my waist.
so helpp :]
If you want your hair to be like in those pictures, you have to take really good care of it.
Get it trimmed often to keep it healthy and get rid of split ends.
After you put conditioner in your hair, don't rinse it out right away. Let it sit for a minute or two so your hair has time to absorb the moisture. Use a deep conditioner or hot oil treatment at least once a week. Use a leave-in conditioner also. And if your hair's frizzy, you can straighten it even though you said your hair's already really straight.
You could also try asking your hair stylist for some tips the next time you go to get your hair cut.
Here's a few sites with some home remedies for your hair that you could try:

Good luck. (:

I have the typical "scene-kid" hair cut.
You know, mullet style with side swept bangs. It's reaaaalllllyyyy dark brown at the moment, pretty much black. And I have three white blonde streaks.
I was thinking of going completely white blonde but my mum says it would look horrible. No one thinks I would look good blonde.
I have a fair complexion and very dark brown eyes.
I need a style change.
Anyone help??
Ah.
Never try going from dark brown to white blonde - TRUST ME.
I would know.
Ha, it's turned out a orange color & looked HORRIBLE.
Hm. You could try doing the tri-color thing. Get light brown highlights or something. Or you could dye the whole thing a medium or light brown? Just remember that if they show you the swatches with all the colors, anything that has even a tiny bit of red in it will make it all mostly red. Make sure that they'll put ash in whatever color you pick to cut out the red!
& get one of those deep conditioning treatments when you get it done, cause all of the coloring'll start to dry your hair out a little after a while.
Make sure you go to a professional salon though if you're highlighting/coloring it!
Good luck. :)
I have had my hair highlighted blonde 2 times before.MY friend recnetly did it for me and it turned out fine but i wanted it slightly lighter. SO last night i decided to die it again and its come out ginger!! i really dont no what to do my parents say im paranoid but im really not its pretty bad! its turned a carrot orangy colour, it looks so cheap. parents said you'll have to learn from that mistake and let it grow out my hair is shoulder lengh. I asked if i could buy a colour removing kit but they wouldnt let me as it damages your hair badly, but anything it better than this!! i really dont no what to do im not aloud to die it anymore either!! i use to be known as the girl whch lushious hair but im dredding going back so school.. sad i know.. please help!! its making me depressed!!
Oh, I know how you feel.
I've had so many issues with coloring/highlighting my hair, I've lost count now.
First of all, don't let it grow out. Hah, you'll freak out about it foreverrrrr. Plus, it'll probably take over a year to grow out.
Go to a professional salon -- try & see if you have a friend who goes to one to get their hair colored or highlighted & has had good results in the past. Yes, those cost way more than normal salons, but it's better than having your hair screwed up again. Ask them what they would suggest for you to do. Whatever you do, DO NOT strip your hair. It dries out your hair way too much. If you go to the salon, like I suggested, it depends what color your hair is. When you go, DO NOT LET THEM DYE YOUR HAIR! Just tell them to highlight (foils) & they'll bring out a color chart & pick your colors. I would pick two -- pick a color very close to your natural color & pick a color a shade darker. That's what I did, & it looks way better than it did the first time. Hah, mine was dyed RED. Yeah, I almost cried. Haha, anyways, if they freak out about the cost, just simply tell them you can pay them back. You can do chores around the house, babysit, have a yardsale, take some money out of your account at the bank if you have one, etc.
Good luck!
ok im a guy my hair is so oo frizzy and dry like a lot. its just like puff. i hav culy hair kinda like a fro. my hair wasnt always like this, when i was little i had very nice hair. now its just dead. is it because i dont usually get it wet or use any product except for shampoo? what the hell do i do?
Hmm, it might just be cause it`s really humid where you live. Cause where I live, it`s making my hair be like that cause of the humidity & stuff.
You could try using conditioner or something too. Everytime you wash your hair, just put a little bit of conditioner on it for about two minutes & then rinse it out. You could try some anti-frizz stuff or something also.
ok i hate my hair. its frizzy and when i wash it its curly and then when it drys its just puffy! now that its summer i cant jsut keep it straight. i use gel to curly it up. i want to amke it curly but gel isn't helping anymore it becomes curly and then puffy after a while. my hair is long its like a little bit under my shoulders. so what product can i use to make it curly. please dont give me a product if you use it and your hair is naturally straight because we obviously have different kind of hair and it might work better on yours. i jsut want a good product one that i can get in wallgreens duance or ride aid you know stores liek that. also, that isnt expensive. thanks
Yeah, it sucks, doesn`t it?
Haha, my hair`s the same way sometimes.
Go to Walgreens or something & look for the Pantene Pro V Curls Hydrating Shampoo & Curls Hydrating Conditioner. I don`t know if they`ll have it, but there should be another bottle & it says Pantene Prov V Curl Restorative. Leave that in your hair over night (like the night before you wash it) & you`ll be surprised by how good it works. Try a leave in conditioner that`s made for people with curly/wavy hair & use that also to help with the frizz. I do those four things, & I normally have wavy hair, but those all make it curly & it cuts down on the frizz. Try to straighten it less also.
Good luck!
when i straighten my hair (on a daily basis), after a long day it flips and waves at the bottom because i tuck my hair behind my ears pretty often. but my birthday is coming up and i can ask for a chi straightener. i was wondering if they really are worth the money and would prevent my hair from "unstraightening" during the day? also, any recommendations as to which one i should get (in the chi line) would be helpful. (:
Okay, I don`t have wavy hair -- I have CURLY hair. All of the other straighteners except a few including the chi I`ve tried, my hair ends up wavy by the end of the day.
I`ve had mine for about a year now & I l-o-v-e it. My hair stays straight during the WHOLE day. I just have the plain one -- It`s black & has tan plates & says Global Beauty on the top. Plus, it doesn`t damage it as much as my old ones.
Also, make sure you protect it. Try getting this stuff called BioSilk. It`s kinda expensive, but it is worth it & it makes your hair verrrrrry shiney. & when you wash it, use a shampoo for dry or damaged hair unless it makes your hair to oily. & make sure to deep condition is at least twice a week to keep it from getting dried out.
I went to get what were supossed to be highlights last year. First of all, THEY WERE WHITE BLONDE! Second, they dyed ALL of it! Not just highlights! So, I freaked out and a month later I went to another hair salon, they made it red. THEN about two months ago, I went to another place and the guy added some brown and blonde highlights, so now it looks BARELY any better, but not as bad. The way it looks is really lowering my self esteem and how I feel about the way I look. It's already grown out about 3 inches, though. I seriously think I will kill someone if they screw up my hair again. & my parents will probably scream if I ask if I can go to another salon and fix it. What should I do?
Try the pantene curl reviving deep conditioner stuff. It's amazing. =]
Just tell your parents basically what you told us.
I'm dying my hair again and I don't want to look wierd or any thing but I have Baby blue eyes a kind of pail (not white just pail) skin tone and I'm thinkin of dying it Blonde I could use help!
oh and my names Massie could you picture a blonde gurl named Massie?
hm, well, i've dyed my hair many times.
so trust me -- i KNOW what i'm talking about.
if you have pale skin, then that wont make it look too good. so to start off, try getting highlights instead. if you're hairs brown, get really light brown highlights. if it's red, just get blond highlights.
make sure you go to a professional hair stylist though!
I have acne. Help me get rid of it. What products can I use? Is there anything I should avoid eating? (I know, i know...don't pick...blah blah..) I just want to get things from Target/Rite Aid etc...I don't want to order anything like Proactiv
try acnefree.
tt's way less than proactive. it can work wonders. my brother used to have horrible acne & now his face is so clear & it looks way better.
i have a little bit of acne & when i used it, it's gone within a week & sometimes less.
chocolate & sugars are some things people say to stay away from, but seriously, they don't affect your acne AT ALL. =]
but what DOES is dairy products, so try not to eat alot of them.
good luck!
tonight im meeting my potential boyfriends parents!
i dont want to give them the wrong impression, but i dont want them to think im a prude or anything.
suggestions?
well, don't wear any shirts extremely low cut or that show your stomach.
don't wear really, really short shorts.
as for jeans, don't wear ones that are very, very, very low.
don't over do it though.
like don't wear a skirt or a dress or anything.
put on maybe a plain, solid colored shirt that's not too low with some nice jeans.
then just wear maybe a nice necklace or bracelet with it.
oh & be polite -- like say yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, no sir. =]
good luck!
i always have my hair in a ponytail or down or half up what can i do i have realxed hair not dead straight not wavy pleaz help
well, you could try scrunching it since it's not dead straight. just buy the john frieda curl around shampoo & conditioner. then buy the hair spray & mousse. first you apply the shampoo, rinse it out, put it the conditioner, rinse, towel dry your hair & DO NOT rub it at all with the towel -- it will cause it to be frizzy.
next, spray hair spray towards the bottom & middle part of your hair.
then, flip your hair over and run the mousse evenly through it while pushing it towards your head & holding it there for a moment.
after doing that all over, get a blow dryer & dry your hair while continuing to push it up towards your hair.
warning: if that messes up, DO NOT try & straighten it. it makes it look like your hair was just electrocuted.
you can also straighten it & then part it on the side -- that looks really cute.
i had to read this six times for it to make sense, so please -- next time use some punctuation. not trying to be rude by that, just trying to help because most of the moderators rate down questions with poor grammar. once again, i was NOT trying to offend you, so don't take it the wrong way or anything.
I'm in love with the Urban Outfitters Boyfriend jeans and pants. We're not gonna get an Urban Outfitters here in Vancouver until Spring. What are some other jeans that are similar to the style of these jeans? Any that I can at least find in Vancouver, BC?
These are the ones I like:

http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=24783&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=1273&iSubCat=11283&iProductID=24783
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=25620&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=10&iSubCat=594&iProductID=25620
(The last one I like the brown and black ones)
I would buy them online but I wouldn't know sizing and stuff.
Thanks.
well, with the Levi ones .. i know they'll have them at JC penny cause that's one of the brands they sell. i'm pretty sure khols & belks would have them.
with the jeans that have the holes, try checking american eagle, abercombie & fitch, & hollister,.
& the other pair would probably be at JC penny, belks, or khols too.
my hair is very dry, and kind of thick. im sure there are a lot of people with the same problem. but i was wondering, what do you think is the best shampoo for me to use? like, to hydrate my hair and actually repair it, instead of causing it more damage. thanks =)
is there a Kelli Paul Hair Salon near you?
go there & ask for the deep conditioning treatment. i love that place more than anything on earth, haha. if there is a Kelly Paul near you & you go there & get the deep conditioning treatment, sneak a look at what they're using. when i went there, i tried to look, but i couldn't see. whatever it is .. it's AMAZING. my hair was so silkly & soft even after he highlighted, blow dryed, & straightened it. my hair was extremely damaged before .. you have NO idea. just a little warning, it MIGHT cost alot. i'm not sure though.
if you don't have that, just go to a nice hair salon, get an inch or two cut off to get rid of the dead/split ends & try out their deep conditioning treatment. try Paul Mitchell's stuff for dry or damaged hair. redken's deep conditioning also works really well.
How can achieve the curly hair i want? My hair is naturaly wavy but has started becoming dull & straight from past straighteners i used. Geling my hair is completely out of the question (i think it makes hair look oily, messy, and just all around gross)! I tired a variety of mousses and shampoos but nothing seems to work! The only way i can "kind of" get my hair to look curly is if i sleep with braids (but that isn't the look i'm going for). So please help me, is there anyway i can get my hair to look nice, full, thick, and cury/wavy without it getting tangly and knotty! I don't have enough time to sit there and actually curl my hair with a curling iron but it you have a good iron to suggest please tell me or even other shampoos, conditioners, & secret tips! Thank-you so much :]
SCRUNCH IT!
wavy hair looks so cute when it's scrunched. everytime i do it, i get at least ten different people come up to me saying, "Wow, I LOVE your hair! hah, how'd you get it like that?!?"
then the next day, when i come back to school, I see like five girls who have attempted to scrunch their hair like i had mine. well, let's just say it didn't work to well. haha.
i use John Frieda. =]
first, use the Curl Around shampoo.
second, use the Curl Around conditioner. (Leave it on for ONE minute.)
DO NOT BUY THE HAIR SERUM! unless of course, you want incredibly greasy & weighed down hair. =]
third, squeeze some of the water out by with just your hands.
fourth, wrap your hair around in a towel (DON'T RUB YOUR HAIR WITH IT!) until it is damp & not dripping wet and comb your hair (DON'T WORRY IF YOUR PART ISN'T PERFECT!).
fifth, spray some time of hair spray in your hair from middle ways to the ends (DON'T SPRAY IT ON THE TOP PART OR IT WILL LOOK GREASY!). i would suggest Dove Extra Hold.
sixth, turn your head upside down & flip your hair over. put the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Corrective Styling Mousse in your hands & run it together. once again, don't put it where your roots are unless you want your hair to be weighed down & greasy.
seventh, run your fingers through your hair so that the mousse is distributed pretty even around all of your hair (except the roots).
eighth, pick up a small handfull of hair and push it up towards your head. hold it there for a few seconds.
ninth, continue scrunching (pushing your hair up towards your head) & blow dry your hair with the heat setting on low or medium (it's better to be on low). When it's on high, it can damage your hair overtime & medium can do it sometimes also. just to be safe, put it on low.
tenth, look in the mirror. someone's gonna have hair that'll make everyone jealous. hmm, i wonder who that could be?
I'm thinking about getting hair extensions
but I have a couple questions first.
how long do they last?
do the hurt?
how much do they cost?
first question -- only about a few months .. not a long time.
second question -- it depends. if you're tender headed, then yes.
third question -- they're normally pretty expensive. i think if you go to a professional hair place they are about eight hundred dollars, though.
