my hair

Question Posted Tuesday July 10 2007, 9:00 pm

ok i hate my hair. its frizzy and when i wash it its curly and then when it drys its just puffy! now that its summer i cant jsut keep it straight. i use gel to curly it up. i want to amke it curly but gel isn't helping anymore it becomes curly and then puffy after a while. my hair is long its like a little bit under my shoulders. so what product can i use to make it curly. please dont give me a product if you use it and your hair is naturally straight because we obviously have different kind of hair and it might work better on yours. i jsut want a good product one that i can get in wallgreens duance or ride aid you know stores liek that. also, that isnt expensive. thanks

I have really curly hair too and around the same length, but if I don't put any product in it, I look like a Chia Pet. haha. Anyways, I use something called Curly Sexy Hair, in a blue tall can. It's great for my hair type. It's really light and foamy so that it doesn't weigh down your hair. I spray a reasonable amount into my hands and then flip it over my head and scrunch it. It's a pretty good price and it lasts you a long time. I think it's only $12.00. Hope this helps!

Yeah, it sucks, doesn`t it?
Haha, my hair`s the same way sometimes.

Go to Walgreens or something & look for the Pantene Pro V Curls Hydrating Shampoo & Curls Hydrating Conditioner. I don`t know if they`ll have it, but there should be another bottle & it says Pantene Prov V Curl Restorative. Leave that in your hair over night (like the night before you wash it) & you`ll be surprised by how good it works. Try a leave in conditioner that`s made for people with curly/wavy hair & use that also to help with the frizz. I do those four things, & I normally have wavy hair, but those all make it curly & it cuts down on the frizz. Try to straighten it less also.

Good luck!

Dear Hair,
I know how you feel, my curls actually disapated after a few months of hardcore straightening though. But my hair still becomes poofy and hard to manage. Products you can pick up in your drugstore are often easy to work with. Treseme' curl defininer is a good one, apply when your hair is wet and scrunch like crazy! Lots of shampoos in your local drugstore also have conditioners and shampoos for your curly hair. Frizzees might also be of help being a frizz easer and a curl definer in certain products. Hope I helped, even if its just a little.
With hope for your hair,
Missy
