IT'S NOT SUPOSSED TO BE RED!

Question Posted Sunday April 15 2007, 4:12 pm

I went to get what were supossed to be highlights last year. First of all, THEY WERE WHITE BLONDE! Second, they dyed ALL of it! Not just highlights! So, I freaked out and a month later I went to another hair salon, they made it red. THEN about two months ago, I went to another place and the guy added some brown and blonde highlights, so now it looks BARELY any better, but not as bad. The way it looks is really lowering my self esteem and how I feel about the way I look. It's already grown out about 3 inches, though. I seriously think I will kill someone if they screw up my hair again. & my parents will probably scream if I ask if I can go to another salon and fix it. What should I do?

Additional info, added Sunday April 15 2007, 4:28 pm:
& do you think my hair would be EXTREMELY damaged if I can convince my parents to get it highlighted or dyed or something? If so, what should I use to fix it?.

Why don't you go to the store and find some hair dye that matches your natural colour (or close to it)? That way you could do it yourself and start over with the colour you normally have. I wouldn't go to another salon for highlights unless you get a reliable reference from someone about a good stylist who really knows what they're doing.

I had blonde hair, and everyone always loved my hair, but I recently went to a random salon and got a terrible cut & color job, she dyed my entire head super blonde, it was just ugly.

what I did was I went to my normal hairstylist and he tried to repair my hair to make it similar to the colors that it was before. I would advise you to let it grow out and once its better, get natural highlights that make your hair look good.

obviously highlights aren't working out for u. just either go to a salon and get ur hair dyed its normal color or do it at home urself with one of those do it urself things. why the hell didn't u stop after once?

have you tried writing a complaint to the salon/s that did your hair in the first place? doing that could get you your money back and they may also sort the problem out. i am studying a hair dressing course atm and personally i would leave your hair a bit longer before dying it anymore, all of the chemicals will dry out your hair and make it look brittle and damaged. but if your still concerned about it you could try buying a home dying kit (a darker colour than your hair is now, as a lighter colour wont cover it)

i hope this helps

Try the pantene curl reviving deep conditioner stuff. It's amazing. =]
Just tell your parents basically what you told us.
