Go to GNC and get yourself some hair growth vitamins. I bought some the other day. They range anywhere from $8 to about $40-60 depending on the vitamin. I bought a bottle of 60 for $10.

After that, if there's a Sally Beauty Supply near you, go there & buy some Mane & Tail Shampoo & Conditioner. I used this about a year ago because my hair was to my shoulders and I hated it. My hair grew down to mid-back & that's where I'm at now. I'm trying to grow my hair back to being long again, hence why I bought the vitamins.

Do this quickly to prevent anymore hair loss.

I just had this happen to me! Haha, I freeeaked out, so I know how you're feelin'.

First of all, go to a nutrition store and get 5,000 mcg or 5mg (they're both equal) of Biotin. It helps stop hairloss and it helps your hair get thicker/healthier. Plus it helps it grow faster. It works really good if you take it once a day for a couple months, trust me.

Go to a place like Ulta or something and get Liquid Keratin Shampoo and the Liquid Keratin conditioner with it. It works really good. Since the straightening basically stripped your hair, these products work by adding keratin & other nutrients back into it. I love em:D This is what the bottle will look like btw: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Avoid blow drying/straightening your hair for a while. If you MUST do either, get a bottle of Biosilk Silk Therapy and run it through your hair after you get out the shower and then again before you put any type of heat on it. Don't use alot though. The bottle will look like this: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Do a deep conditioning treatment AT LEAST twice a week. I use the one by Fekkai: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
It works really good for me as long as you leave it on for at least twenty minutes. I use it about three times a week.

Hope I helped! :D

Your hair type plays a major role in this. First when you shampoo your hair from a perm, use a shampoo that is a neutralizer. It is imperative to rinse ALL perm out of your hair or it will damage it. Try some Dr.Miracle products, and anti-breakage products. I use Motions. Use plenty of conditioners also, and based on your hair type - you may even try a hot oil treatment.

Also hair mayonaise stops breakage and grows the hair back that broke. Start taking vitamin E to strengthen your hair. Try to keep heat off of it and chemicals off of it for a while. It's weak right now from the chemical. Start massaging the scalp where the breakage has occured, and you will notice a difference. If you are more comfortable see a beautician instead of a doctor. They are specially licensed to deal and treat this type of condition.

Change your shampoo.
Once you've permanently done something, it changes the way your hair reacts to the substances and chemicals in the shampoo. Talk to an attendant at the mall, or center where you buy at, maybe they'll know something about brands and types.
Maybe Head and shoulders - Hair loss

Also I would apply oil, just to be on the safe side. Put it on before you go to sleep and (put a towel on your pillow)wash it off the next morning.
