what eyeliner color brings out dark brown eyes? does blue eyeliner do that?

Dark purple works for me [I have dark, DARK brown eyes]. Don't use a lot though, it should be subtle.

You can use blue eyeliner to make the whites of your eyes look really white, but don't use blue and purple eyeshadow together !!

on canal street in new york do they really have people with stolen goods that have the real designer bags? do the bags on the street look verry real even though they are fake? 5's for anyone that comments =)

Yes, they really do, and many knockoffs are fairly accurate replicas of the actual designer bags.

It IS pretty hard to tell which bags are real and fake.

Look for a serial number and feel the bag. If it's leather, but feels stiff or is cracked, it's not worth buying. I find it helpful to look up the bag I want online at the actual designer's website and print out a picture of it to take with me. That way, you can compare the replica bag to the picture of the actual bag and figure out if it's real or not.

I was wondering if anyone knew some places (expensive or cheap) that have cute boho clothes and accessories. I always wear clothes from American Eagle, Hollister, and abercrombie, but im tired of looking like everyone else.

Free People is my savior. They're a little bit pricey, but nothing HORRIBLE. Their site is http://www.freepeople.com/index.cfm?cm_mmc=google-_-pdkws-_-freepeople-_-Free_People

Kitson has a ton of stuff that's great to get ideas from. http://www.shopkitson.com/

http://www.abercrombie.com/anf/onlinestore/html/help_home.html

on one of my hair products, it says to dry hair with a diffuser... whats that!?

ill rate 5s. = ]

It's an attachment you put on the end of your hairdryer where the air comes out.
They reduce frizz and usually adds shine.

Is there such a thing as waterproof eyeliner; and if so what kind is the best to buy? I know there's waterproof mascara, I use it all the time. But what about eyeliner, and even eyeshadow; if they have it, whats the best product to buy? Thanks forthe advice.

To be perfectly honest from my experience, I havn't ever found a good waterproof eyeliner at a drugstore, only mascara.

If you're willing to invest some money, then buy M.A.C. Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel. It comes in fun colors and LASTS. I mean it too, it's pretty much smudgeproof as well.
You can buy it at most department stores or on the MAC website.

Okay, Tryouts are in 4 days and its for hs if that helps any. I have a few areas (apparence wise) i would like people to help me with. As most of you know who are cheerleading, apperance for tryouts is very important so please help.

makeup- please give me expamples of somthing more settle and natural and not so fun and wild..nothing that wont make me stand out for tryouts but amy make me look cute.

hair- a cute up do for tryouts? cheerleaderish.. cute and mature.

Legs&&Arms- would putting glitter lotion on (it give a natural shimmer) be a good idea? or keep lotain plane?

Any more apperance tips would be nice,, im not worried about clothing, i have to wear dark colored shorts and a white t-shirt.

please help! ive tried out 2 times and made it both buttt this is highschool now!
thxxx in advance.

megg.

Don't try TOO hard, but I understand you concern with appearance.

For makeup, you'll want something that'll last long if you're being active, but still looks cute. Try curling your eyelashes and putting on some waterproof mascara. I'd skip the eyeliner, but if you must, make sure it's not too smokey, and using a pencil instead of liquid will make it look more naturally pretty.

A little pink blush will automatically give you that pretty, flushed look. Skip foundation, and only use concealer if you feel you need it.

Try putting your hair in a medium height ponytail. Too high looks ridiculous, but too low of a ponytail and you hair will get in your way. Curling you hair isn't a good idea, so keeping it straight and simple is the way to go.
Some girls on the cheerleading team I know tie a bow over their elastic on their ponytail.

As for the shimmer-y lotion, as long as it's subtle [think iridescent, not bronze-y]. It'll add a nice, subtle touch.

Is there anyway to go in the pool or ocean with out your mascara running? I heard if you put like clear mascara over your normal stuff it would work. I use Big Lash.. i think it's from Maybalene?

Clear mascara over regular mascara doesn't really work that well, it'll still come off. Clear mascara is more for people who just was to use it by itself to make their eyelashes have a little definition, or some people use it to tame their eyebrows.

I'd suggest buying a waterproof version of your mascara. Maybelline makes one for every type.

How do I make my lips apear bigger?

Line your lips with a natural color, then slick a coat of lip gloss over it. Also, you can buy lip plumpers such as DuWop Lip Venom.

i got this pink green and white tote bag at aeropastale, and i was just wondering if it would look retarted if i used it with clothes that didnt match it. does it matter ? i mean, its just a bag, right?
thanks xo*

No, it wouldn't, honest!

The only way a purse looks out of place on an outfit is if you carry a casual bag with a fancy outfit or vice-versa.

go for it!

i was wondering if anyone has used the veet bladeless razor set and if they have does it work and were u statisfied with it?

I own it, and it does work very well, it lasts longer than a razor would, and costs less than shaving does.

The only thing I would be careful about is making sure you aren't allergic to the product. Test it on the inside of your arm to make sure it doesn't irritate your skin. I used Nair once without testing it and ended up with raw, red legs COVERED in hives.

But yes, I was satisfied with the Veet.

Ok i was wondering does jergens natural glow work good...im gonna use it but im scared that i will turn orange. i was just wondering like how much you apply and does it give directions in the box..?
i kno i sound stupid but this is my first time trying a tanning product
thanks

Spread a thin layer onto your skin evenly and rub it in. Wait 5-10 minutes for it to dry and then apply another layer. Be sure to either wear gloves or wash your hands immediately after applying each layer to avoid splotchy hands.

It gives directions on the back of the tube, and yes, I absolutely recommend Jergens Natural Glow, I use it myself and it won't turn you orange :]

I bought mine at Wal-Mart for $6. I know it goes on sale at drugstores liek brookes and cvs all the time though.

Ok. I have REALLY straight hair. How can I get like curls, (preferably like bigger curls to make my hair just look wavy).

Preferably people who have the same type of hair, but I'm willing to hear any ideas at this point.

Shampoo hair with your normal curl supporting shampoo and rinse-out conditioner. Blot hair with an absorbent towel to remove excess water. Apply a good leave-in conditioner and/or if appropriate, a defrisant product. Detangle with a wide toothed comb or a pick. Use a good curl defining styling gel and smooth it through your hair 1/2 inch from your roots to your ends. Blow dry hair with a long finger diffuser to lift and separate curls. When hair is completely dry start at one side of your head and work on two inch sections of hair at a time.

Use a Curling Iron on each individual section of hair at a time. Shape curls into spirals with the iron as you work from strand to strand.

Remember that the larger the barrel of the curling or spiral iron, the bigger the curls. For small curls select a 3/4 to 1" barrel. For larger curls select up to 1 1/2" barrel.

Be sure to keep each strand wrapped around the iron for a few minutes. Adjust the time according to your hair texture and needs. For some people they will only need to use the iron for a few seconds. Thicker hair may require up to a few minutes.

After you remove each curl from the iron, let it completely cool before touching it. Do not brush or touch the newly created curls. When you have finished curling your entire head, spray with a good spray. If any of the curls are not as tight as you would like, use the curling iron to spot curl.

Carefully arrange the spirals with your fingers. Always finish with a light to medium spray to allow your hair to have movement.

This question has been asked alot, but mine's a bit different. I need a dress for my 8th grade dance, it needs to be nice, somewhat dressy, bun not like, dressy dressy like a prom or anything.. if that makes sense =\

Any websites with cute AND affordable dresses?

alloy.com has dresses for usually less than 50$

what brings out green eyes?

A shimmery gold or other neutral tone with a little bit of sparkle in it would make your eyes pretty.

I have no idea how to apply makeup, like foundation and powder or whatever...I'm 16 and I feel like its time to learn. I can do my eyes, but my face there just seems like so many steps and it confuses me! Can anyone explain for me how you do it and what you need and such on so forth?

1. Begin with clean hands and a clean face.

2. Apply moisturizer appropriate to your skin type. Let it set a few minutes, particularly if your skin is oily.

3. Camouflage under-eye circles and blemishes with concealer.

4. Select a foundation that is appropriate to your skin type and the coverage you wish to achieve. The color should match your skin, disappearing when blended well.

5. Shake the bottle well to mix the formula. Or, simply open a stick or compact version.

6. Place a small amount of foundation on the back of one hand. Dip your makeup sponge or your middle finger into it.

7. Apply to the center of your face: cheeks, forehead, chin.

8. Blend out to your hair and jawline until the foundation vanishes. Pay special attention to blending around the nose, mouth and jawline.

9. Set the foundation with loose powder immediately following application.

Ok soo today i went out and I bought a conair straightner...wid 2 crimpers and a star (changable plates). Anyway my hair is semi- straight..it's like straight but is still wavy. Does anyone have this type of hair and straighten it? See my hair's long and I have too go to this event this weekend comin and i don't want to waste my time and have it loook bad!!!

Thanks,
jamee

My hairs is straight -not stick stright, but it sounds like yours, it has a little bit if a wave to it. Striaghtening it should smooth it out and it'll probably look more shiny than before. It won't look BAD, it'll look straighter, but if you're short on time, then I wouldn't bother, it doesn't make a HUGE difference.

i put this neutrogena (sp?) tanning stuff on my arms & legs. they look horrible. is there anyway i can make the stuff go away? for tomm?? & i alresdy tried rubbing acholol

ps. what is some good tanning oil?

Try exfoliating, it'll scrub off the top later of skin and MAY help fade the tan a bit. Just use any body scrub or a washcloth or loofah.

oh, and a tannning oil that I've always used is Panama Jack.
