i know its a bad idea to pop a pimple, but what is the safest way to do it so that it won't cause more acne or scar?
its tempting, but chances are,you WILL scar-it only takes 5-10 days for a big pimple to clear up.i agree with the person below me RetinA(is for VERY serious acne only perscribed by doctors--its awesome though) BenzolPeroxide(weaker than retinA),for less serious acne-i use this-it Works wicked good,it may take a while but its the main reason why most acne medications work.Acne Free- i also use this-and its really great,i have almost every product from them its just like proactive only 30 dollers less!all popping causes more acne-i used to use tweasers-but-eh-dont pop!
hey i was going to get my hair done (colored) a certain highlight of blonde. The kid of blonde i want is NOT very "yellowish?" haha sorry i dont know how else to describe it...i think it is a really light blonde, but how would you describe this to a hair dresser? (color not highlight type)
Thanks :)
maybe your going for about 2 shades darker than platinum blonde (which is very very blond..like ashlee simpsons hair--)

i hope thats what you ment,it doesnt look yellow, and its lighter.i hope i helped :)
Well, at school i think everyone seems to think of me as a bit quiet, a bit shy ...... etc.
Thing is, i dont want them to think of me that way.
Tonight theres a school disco and i love discos, i dance alot, chat, and have a great time, but im not sure what to wear, and i was wondering what type of hair/makeup/outfit would make me appear fun, exciting and confident.
If you have any ideas, please tell me some makeup looks, hairstyles and clothes that would give that image.
The discos tonight, so i would like some anwers before then, but if its after still tell me because it would be good to know for future.
Thanks, xxx
Well,my best advice is to find a shirt thats cute and has writeing on it(so its not boring/to plain).Try finding a shirt that looks awesome on you, shows that your confident (like choose a tank top kind of shirt, not to much skin but not to little :D)and that has something that reminds you of disco! Try stores (if you have them) 7fox,and deb, they have really good clothes for dancing (i got a shirt that says babygurl, and i wore one that says bling baby bling to a dance!) something unique, and just -out there-,you kno?what i usually do is when i find two or three things that i really like, and look good on me,but i cant decide--i pick the one i wouldnt normally pick.just to switch it up and surprize people :).
For bottoms-tight jeans or if you want to be flirty a skort(or a skirt, but i think skorts are better when your dancing around) :).
i'd eaither wear hair scrunched parted to the side (maybe a zig-zagg part),or half-up/in a ponytail straitend and have two stands of hair handing down.the reason i dont wear my hair straighted and down is because i sweat when i dance, and my hair will curl and look bad,so scrunching it will be a lot easier!
makeup-it depends on your outfit, and eye color.i cant tell you the shawdow, because that depends on eye color/outfit.but i'd water proof mascara that adds length and a little volume to the eyes.brownish-black eyelier on the top and bottom lids.a type of sports light coverup (so when you sweat,if you do, it wont come off) and also make sure that its the kind that doesnt clog pores.:)a little, tiny bit of blush (you dont have to have it though, only for shimmer)and a really glossy lip (clear)
and last but not least, find some really nice semi-big earings to match the shirt you pick out!!
i hope you have fun!! :)

Dry/Damaged Hair Remedies- Don't hold the mayo. "Mayonnaise makes an excellent conditioner," a regular mayo bath--once a week or so. Put a dollop in the palm of your hand, then work it into your hair for at least five minutes before washing it out. (The preferred time for a full-blown mayo treatment is an hour)
If mayo is a little too messy for your taste, you can still get help from the flip-top section of your refrigerator. "Beer is a wonderful setting lotion that gives a crisp, healthy, shiny look--even to dry hair," Pour some of the brew into an empty pump-bottle. Then spray it onto your hair after you've shampooed and towel-dried but before you blow-dry or style. And don't worry about smelling like a lush-the odor of the beer quickly disperses.
If you must shampoo daily, use a brand that's labeled "for dry or damaged hair," Among the shampoos recommended are DHS, Neutrogena, Pert Plus, Ionil and Purpose.
2.Greasy Skin-1) Make a puree of fresh tomatoes, apply to the skin 2) Beat together 1 egg white, 1 tsp spirits of camphor, 1 heaping Tbsp skim milk powder and a scant drop of essential oil of mint. First apply a thin film of odorless castor oil to the skin , then apply a thick layer of the egg white mask. Lie back for about 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water, then rinse with an apple cider vinegar and water solution or witch hazel.
3.Sorry...you mean age spots?or...?sorry,i dont understand.
4.Basically the same thing as #2.Greasy skin ties along with the whole visible pore thing.
5.
Foot Scrub (For rough, dry, calloused, or weary feet)
1/4 cup (59 ml) ground oatmeal
1/4 cup (59 ml) cornmeal
1 tablespoon (15 ml) sea or table salt
Essential oil of lemon or peppermint
Moisturizing cream or lotion
Spring or tap water
Prep time: 5 to 10 minutes
Mix with: spoon and small bowl
Store in: A large batch of the dry mix could be made, stored in a
zip-seal bag, low tub/jar, or tin and kept in the bathroom.
Yields: 1 treatment
6.for some reason, the only thing i could find for this was to take vitamins. Sorry!
7.hmmm...once again,the results showed these "hair,skin,and nail" vitamins to use.hmmmm..sorry again :(
but gooood luck!! i hope these work!
Hey has anyone got any techniques to make eyes look more oval and upward slanting (oes it make any difference if you put it over the top lashes? if so I need insructions lol), and also to suggest eyeliners that stay on throughtout half the day at least.
ty luv rach xxx
well,it looks great on the top,yes putting it on the top gives your eye more defience and"pop".=)
ok,for the top- pull your top eyelid so its straight,so, you would pull the corner of your top lid (the corner near your nose) outward.and the corner (near your ear/hair) out ward also. (its tricky, you can only use one hand!)
Next, grab the eye liner you want,(pencil is best**) and start in the middle of the lid.Work your way across the eye till you get to one of the corners.then stop.
then put your pencil back in the middle and do the same for the other side.you decide the thickness of the line :).
Club A works great, also Victorias Secret and Clinique.
to make the eye look more oval shaped lightly line the bottom and the top.I was thinking,if you want to try it,instead of just stopping at the corner(the one near you ear)go outward just a LITTLE more on the top and bottom. And dont use a black (its too overwelming),use either a brown* or a brown/black color.
ok this might sound a bit werid but i dont have a big behind. im not completely flat however, i do have a lil something but not much. i was just wondering if there were any types of jeans/pants i can wear that might accentuate my stuff. lol.
thanks a bunch

it depends on the shape of your body.
go to www.mejeans.com
i know you dont want to buy jeans (besides there a LOTT of money),but they give you a lot of info on what kind of jeans to get.Click on the "help" button, then look under shopping tips. Its very helpful :)
is lake water bad for acne?
it depends on your skin.
when i went swimming in a lake (for about 3 days straight,2-3 hours)i didnt get acne at all.In fact, that was the time that i had no acne. Its not too much to worry about, water is water :).
still if you think you'll get acne from lake water, wash your face befor and after you go in the lake :)
my skin gets dry pretty easily. so after washing my face at night and putting an acne medication on, i will wake up in the morning and simply put makeup on without washing my face first. is there any harm in this?
Yes,there is some harm if your skin it the type that get pimples. It'll most likely give you a higher risk of getting acne.At night, you should put your acne medication on,then moisturizer.over night, the things on your bed and pillow will go on your skin.Thats why in the morning, you have to either wash your face with soap and water,or an acne medication.(to stop from getting clogged porse, which lead to acne!)Lightly moisturize, then put on your makeup. Some makeup will say on the bottle "cleanse skin before applying". But,if your acne medication you use at night is very strong, and you dont have oily skin around your nose when you wake up or throught out the day,you might want to use water befor applying any kind of make-up.
i hope i helped!! :)
So i have pin straight hair, like you can not curl it at all no matter how long you leave the iron in for or sleep in curls, it does not work. I was thinking about a perm, but how long do they last? Do they damage your hair? Can you still straighten it? Is it hard to straighten? Are there different types of perms? Yeah I am a perm-dummy so all the help and information would be helpful :] I will rate high if I get a good response.
well,it last about up to 2 years,
,but you need to use the right shampoo they give you for it and the right comb.
you can take the perm out by using a different shampoo and brush.(it takes about 2-4 weeks for it to come out depending on the type of hair you have)
They only damage your hair if you get it done over and over again, you can still straiten it if you want, but it'll take longer. So,its kind-of- hard =o//
all type of perms!!you can get banana curls, ringlets, soft curls, wavy, tons! Also when your getting it done,it might hurt =o
i hope this helped!!!
My hair is unmanagable.
Even when I straigten it, it is all frizzy and poofy. Its so frustrating.
I hate it.
I heard on advicenators someone telling someone else you can get your hair permanantly straightened in a salon for like 75 bucks. I don't want to get in Japanese straightened because it costs a lot of money. If I get it done at a salon for 75 bucks, how long will it last?
Does it really work?
hey!
yepp, they work but,it only lasts about 2 months and then you'll have to spend a LOT of money again (1000 $-4000$)
go for a ceramic.
They are the best kind i recommend Chi,because it is the real thing and it works great. Also try buying that frizz-ease stuff from chi,or other brands.Even though a straightener like chi costs,it lasts a long time(7 yrs +),is great on your hair, and adds shine to it.Also,my hair is wavy, and what i do if after i take a shower i flip my hair upside down and blowdry it with a paddle brush, from root to the end.It blowdrys almost compleatly straight :) (my hair dresser taught me that). You could also try getting a straitener that straitens your hair when it is wet.I hope i helped!
goood luck!
I'm 13 and I'd like to know, how much makeup is too much? On a usual day, I wear eyeliner on the bottom lid, and an opaque, frosty lilac lip gloss. Is this ok? I don't want to look like a clown
thats deff. not to much makeup!! the girls at my schoolhave eyeliner -top & bottom lid, lipgloss, eyeshawdow, concealer and foundation.but to tell you the truth-you'll only look like a clown if you make it and uncomplimentary(sp) color on you =).you have to make it look like your not wearing any,but still look great!but to answer your question - yes its ok =)
my skin is extremely dry and flaky on my face. however, i am acne prone, so i dont' want to use a cream or something that could cause breakouts. however, the light moisturizers, such a cetaphil moisturizer (which do not cause my face to break out) don't help with the dryness much! any suggestions??
ok,i use dove face cloths -- extra moisture - i love that! but a good moisturizer that i use is called Jergins Natrual Glow for the face. I mean,i know it'll add color and all,but its a really great moisturizer!! it doesnt cause breakouts-but i found out if you use the body lotion for a face lotion--in some brands-- its really not good for your skin!! also, Clean & Clear unclogging scrub (its ina blue/purple bottle) is nice for dry skin also =) also, its best to not use a face cloth when taking creams off- because its very rough.Try takeing it off in the shower,or with clean hands :)
goooood luck!!!
Why is it that when your emo/rock/punk/gothic or whatever that people call you fake when you wear something that's like pink or from the mall? Isn't the whole point of being emo and stuff to be original?
hmmm...well,to tell you thte truth, labels shouldn't exsist.people call others fake--because they dont know them.the only way you would be fake is if you lie to yourself about who you really are.hmmm im not sure what the point of an emo trend is...only because emo is a type of music..bleh,no idea.i think the colors for punk are black and pink right? they cant judge people like that, but my suggestion is to learn how to make you own clothes--thats what im going to start doing :) and be creative!!
i didnt know what to put this under so oh well lol.
ok, i have acne, but its not bad. its mostly near my eyebrows and nose and stuff. but i can't find any makeup that works. i have the true blend pressed powder, and that doesnt seem to really work at all. my skin is always blotchy, and its really dry now because of the cold. i was wondering that there was any makeup that would work. i cant stand liquid foundation though, because it feels like im putting paint on my face. i hate it. any suggestions?
thanks
go here- http://www.clinique.com/ and look in the cover-ups.they have a blemish cover up,and its great! you can also try nuetrogina clean tint-and remember that putting moisturizer on befor you but any make-up on doesn't make it look dry and blotchy~!! im sorry if this was short,i hope i helped!!
hey! i am 13 years old/female and i am 65 pounds and 4 feet 6 inches tall. i am really short. i am very small for my age, and i have trouble finding jeans that will fit me. can anyone tell me some stores where jeans might fit a body type like mine? thanks in advance!
limited too is sooooo expensive!!!!!
hey! im 4"8 and 70 pounds (you are just like how i was last year) (im 13 1/2) and i last year i would wear - lei (12) jordashi (14,jordashi's run small and a 14 is like a 12) basically jeans you get from fileans, jcpenny, macys. Lei's are the best for you (they showed off my figure in a positive way =]) You could also go to abercrombie kids (link =http://www.abercrombiekids.com/kids/lifestyles/html/homepage.html)
They fit nice, but not the best,.This year,i wear aeropostale jeans and they fit awesome,i still wear lei's also! and if you want to,look for angels (type of jeans) they fit a lot of different body types, but i've never tried them! (they're sorta hard to find =0)
anyways gooood luck! i hope i helpedd~!!!
i heard that brushing your hair too much will cause split ends so what can i do to not cause so many split ends other than trimming
nope brushing dosent cause split ends, there could be some breakage if there is a huge huge knot in your hair, but thats it.shampoos and conditioners can to the trick.i had split ends from straightening my hair to much,so the two types of shampoos i use are pantine and fruitics(get them at and cvs, wallgreens, brooks)look for the ones that a specail for split ends.you'll have to use is on a regular basis for a while, but it has good results.hmm...the reasons why i told you about these and not what other people have told you about is because they might be a lot of much where these are cheap!Unfortunatly all of these formulas are only temporary and trimming is the only was to compleatly deminish split ends.also it depens on what kind of brush.i use a soft bristel brush because my hair is layerd/wavy.never use bristle brushes on thick/curly hair.the brush most people use is when the soft bristle and hard bristle combine-which works great one any hair.
i hope i helped!!
my skin is pale with a tint of red and i cant stand it. i use cover girl clean makeup creamy natural cover up and it always makes my face look like its pealing can anyone help??
hey,you should get jergins natrual glow for fair skin tones! i have medium tones and it makes my skiin a couple shades darker at the end of the week.Put moisterizer on your face befor you apply the cover up so it wont peal and it is more hydrated. If you dont really like your concealer to much, try clinique (they are sort of pricey, but i love them)here is the webbie-http://www.clinique.com/home_flash.tmpl
go to make-up,search around,i know they have some self-tinting stuff, and they have foundations :].you can also find clinique at fileans, macys, those type of stores if you have them :].
good luck!
I have green eyes, pale skin, brown hair, and freckles. Does anyone have any good make up ideas? I have heard that brown eye shadow is good, but anything else? I don't like to wear bronzer because it makes me look fake.
Thanks it advance.
Hmm...k,
Green Eyes- you could use alamay all about eyes-(obviously get the grren-eyed one XD)You need to make them pop-look awesome! so try unique shades :] Smokey eye is good to~.Plums and Chacoles are good for night time, but if your 13-14 pink brings out green.also try rich golds :].you can mix colors also :]!
Pale Skin-is it like fair skin?because jergins natrual glow for fair skin tints your skin and makes it shine! i have it for medium tones,i love it,it works awesome!
ok i am 13/f and i have dark circles under my eyes they aren't really really bad but i was wondering is there any way to get rid of them without using make up
k,im 14/f,and i was juustt like you :). I got this stuff called clinque-all about eyes,-it removes puffs and circles:]. http://www.clinique.co.uk/templates/products/multiproduct.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT1041
^^ those are some, there awesome!! i have one and it works good :)!and if there is a fileans(sp) or macys near you or if you have those stores they should have eye creams :).I love clinque, and there make-up too! try it out :)
good luck :]
