Well, at school i think everyone seems to think of me as a bit quiet, a bit shy ...... etc.
Thing is, i dont want them to think of me that way.
Tonight theres a school disco and i love discos, i dance alot, chat, and have a great time, but im not sure what to wear, and i was wondering what type of hair/makeup/outfit would make me appear fun, exciting and confident.
If you have any ideas, please tell me some makeup looks, hairstyles and clothes that would give that image.
The discos tonight, so i would like some anwers before then, but if its after still tell me because it would be good to know for future.
Thanks, xxx
DarkDesire23 answered Friday May 19 2006, 3:52 pm: Well,my best advice is to find a shirt thats cute and has writeing on it(so its not boring/to plain).Try finding a shirt that looks awesome on you, shows that your confident (like choose a tank top kind of shirt, not to much skin but not to little :D)and that has something that reminds you of disco! Try stores (if you have them) 7fox,and deb, they have really good clothes for dancing (i got a shirt that says babygurl, and i wore one that says bling baby bling to a dance!) something unique, and just -out there-,you kno?what i usually do is when i find two or three things that i really like, and look good on me,but i cant decide--i pick the one i wouldnt normally pick.just to switch it up and surprize people :).
For bottoms-tight jeans or if you want to be flirty a skort(or a skirt, but i think skorts are better when your dancing around) :).
i'd eaither wear hair scrunched parted to the side (maybe a zig-zagg part),or half-up/in a ponytail straitend and have two stands of hair handing down.the reason i dont wear my hair straighted and down is because i sweat when i dance, and my hair will curl and look bad,so scrunching it will be a lot easier!
makeup-it depends on your outfit, and eye color.i cant tell you the shawdow, because that depends on eye color/outfit.but i'd water proof mascara that adds length and a little volume to the eyes.brownish-black eyelier on the top and bottom lids.a type of sports light coverup (so when you sweat,if you do, it wont come off) and also make sure that its the kind that doesnt clog pores.:)a little, tiny bit of blush (you dont have to have it though, only for shimmer)and a really glossy lip (clear)
and last but not least, find some really nice semi-big earings to match the shirt you pick out!!
i hope you have fun!! :)

EDIT **** a skort is a skirt with short shorts under it(you cant see them though) so when a skirt flys up,they'll be(usually they're made of strechty material) shorts instead of seeing under wear :p! [ DarkDesire23's advice column | Ask DarkDesire23 A Question ]

XSugarPieX77 answered Friday May 19 2006, 1:54 pm: Hmm, maybe if you have something with sequins on it wear that. But if you don't then just wear a really bright outfit. {yellows, oranges, pink, greens etc.} Put your hair in a side pony tail. And, you can get like 3 different eye shadows, and sorta make three vertical stripeson your eyelid { my school did that for our play"FAME" which was sort of in the time of disco. So, deffintly give that a go. Try to go for a old fashioned party disco look. Hope i helped! Have fun.
ThatWouldBeAPlan answered Friday May 19 2006, 1:42 pm: You need to start thinking for yourself. Dress how you feel comfortable, and be yourself. You don't need to dress a certain way to 'appear fun, exciting and confident.' If you are those things, they should shine through no matter what you wear. If not, then people would be bound to find out for themselves sooner or later anyhow. [ ThatWouldBeAPlan's advice column | Ask ThatWouldBeAPlan A Question ]
