Okay so im on this major calorie cut diet.
And i drink water all day long
but i try not to eat past 7 but i get these cravings for something other than WATER! so i drink like 1 0r 2 DIET cokes, is that okay??
or is it gonna ruin my diet.

Drinking water is good. Major Calorie cuts are not.

A good idea when losing weight is to cut about 500 calories from your usual diet, meaning you should eat about 1500-1800 calories a day. Don't go below that number. And eat more if you exercise.

Diet sodas have Aspartame, which can be very bad for you. Try drinking 100% fruit juices or milk when you need variety. They have calories you need, and they are also very nutritious.


how exactly is green tea good for you//help you lose weight? does diet green tea work the same way? (link)
Green tea has lots of antioxidants and such. Not sure how it helps you lose weight though.

And yes, diet will work the same. You see, the tea itself has little to no calories. It is the sweetener that adds calories.


Is it possible to lose 3 pounds in one day? I totally pigged out last night at a sleepover and when I came home and weighed myself I was 101. But I felt self concious because I have to be in a bikini in front of a guy tomorrow so I didnt eat all today and I excercised. Now the scale says Im 98.5 and I am wearing the same thing I was when I weighed 101 - a bikini. Is that possible or is the scale wrong?? (link)
It is possible, but it's probably water weight. When you exercise, you lose weight from sweating. But if you properly hydrate yourself, you'll get it back.


I hate my body so much. Im anorexic and I have been since February, but I read the effects and I want to eat healthy! Ive started eating again, but its all junk. Does anyone have a meal plan that will actually help you lose weight and is easy foods to actually get at a supermarket? (link)

Okay, first, don't try to lose more than 1-2 pounds a week.

As for foods, it is really easy to eat healthy these days.

First, make sure to get enough calories. 1500 a day is ideal for losing weight as it provides enough energy for proper body function and exercise while still helping you lose weight.

Eat breakfast! A bowl of cereal, a cup of yogurt, a piece of fruit, something light, healthy, and full of natural sugars and carbs. It will give you a jumpstart for the day.

At lunch, try to balance carbs and proteins. A salad with chicken or steak is a great choice, as is a taco or wrap. But be careful with tacos. Ground beef can be very fatty, so unless you buy and prepare it, don't trust it. Deli meats can have a lot of sodium and preservatives in them, so be careful with those as well.

For dinner, you want to focus on proteins. When you sleep is when your body rests and rebuilds, so protein provides necessary materials. Chicken breasts are a fabulous way to eat healthier, as they are so versatile! I personally love to make baked chicken with rosemary and blackberry wine. Or you can put salsa on it.

An important thing to remember when cooking healthier is to not neglect herbs and spices. Unlike condiments, they don't add unwanted calories. Just lots of flavor.

Like I tell everyone on diet things, make sure you eat enough calories every day. Aim for 1500, and never go below 1000, ever.

As to quick and tasty things:

Chicken is immensely versatile, so it is good to keep some baked chicken breasts on hand. For example, chicken tacos take all of 5 minutes to make (take tortilla, put lettuce, tomato, chicken, cheese, salsa, etc.), and if you don't put much cheese and avoid sour cream, there will be hardly any fat.

Fish is also very good. Lots of healthy fats.

Whole wheat pasta is delicious and much healthier. Drizzle with olive oil, add a dash of rosemary, and you have a simple delight.

Fruit bars and sorbets are good desserts. Fruit bars (the 100% fruit or juice ones) are relatively low in calories, and taste great. And sorbets are great for cleansing the palate, leaving you refreshed, and not craving more food.

Also, try drinking tea in the mornings. It is a pleasant way to start the day, and again, healthy. Sweeten it with honey or raw sugar. Green tea is my recommendation.


i became being belimic a little bit ago because im starting to dislike my eating habits. dont worry im probably going to eat reguarly soon. i havent researched it that much but i was wondering how throwing up is bad for you? i mean, the food goes down in your stomach and takes nutrients out of the food but all it does is make the rest come up again. whats wrong with that? the excess food exit the body later anyway. just in a different way. Your body takes nutrients from the food when it is on your intestines. Not your stomach. So it does not help.

Also, the stomach acid can hurt your throat.

Try mini rice cakes. Not the full size, but the minis. It is about 60 calories for 8 of the little cakes. Since they are small, they are more flavorful. I personally love the apple cinnamon ones, but they come in tons of flavors.

Plain popcorn is also a good snack.

Any fresh fruit is generally a good choice, as are fresh veggies.


help me plzz i cant stop crying. my face just keeps getting worst and worst. PImples are everywhere. i mean it! Clean your face with a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol to dry the oil, then use an oil-free moisturizer so you don't dry out your skin.

If that doesn't help, talk to a dermatologist. They can help you out.


Ok, I'm 13 (14 next week), 5'1", and 161 pounds. I'm very overweight. Embarrasing, but it's the truth. I need to lose weight. I really want to lose like 50 pounds by Christmas possibly sooner. My mom was going to order the Nutrisystem foods for me but it has been delayed(probably cancelled) cuz we just can't afford spening 300 dollars on something like that right now. Is there anything else out there that can help me?! I don't want diet pills or ebooks but maybe some type of prepackaged food meals that maybe are a little cheaper. Or like a diet plan just for me that doesn't cost much!!! (link)
Basically eat right and exercise

Learn to cook! Then, you know exactly what goes into your food, and you have the pride of being able to cook. Plus people love to date someone who can cook well, lol.

Find a sport you enjoy! Any sort of physical activity is good. I personally play DDR. ^^

Remember: all things in moderation. A scoop of icecream every once in a while (say, once a week or less) won't hurt you, but one every day will.

Also, look for tasty, healthy alternatives. Try sorbets and fresh fruits when you crave sweets. Yogurts are also good. Smoothies help too. Tofu is great as a meat substitute in stirfry.

But remember this: NEVER GO BELOW 1000 CALORIES A DAY! NEVER!!!! Try to eat 1500 calories per day.

Yeah, it is. But it takes longer to add up. Three pieces of fruit equal about one candy bar.

Try more filling healthy foods.

Or make smoothies! They are much more filling than fruit alone.

Or make a fruit salad. Sitting down and eating the fruit prepared may help you feel full.

Or add some filling toppings, like peanut butter.


I'm trying to lose some weight, and I haven't noticed any results. I havent been eating much and I've been exercising everyday for a while now. Is there any way to increase my metabolism? Good diets? Exercises? Anything helpful! Thanks~~~ :D (link)
Eat small meals often.

Break your normal three meals into parts, then eat more often. It will improve your metabolism.

Smoothies are great. Make them with tons of fresh fruits and yogurt or tofu. They are healthy and tasty.

Tofu is healthy. Try stirfrying it. It uses very little oil, so not much fat, but tons of flavor.

Experiment with salads. Different components have different tastes.

Also, steamed veggies are good.


Hey Everyone!! Well ever since I can remember I've always biten my nails, its a really bad habit. Usually I bite them when I'm nervous about something or when im pondering a serious question. I really need to stop because my hands look like they don't have nails left on them anymore. My ? is How do I stop biting my nails and what can I do to prevent starting up again?? Start by making your nails pretty. You are less likely to bite them cuz they look nice.

Then, stash nail files everywhere. If you feel the need to nibble, just file your nails instead (plus it helps them grow)

Give yourself an incentive not to bite. For example, "If I don't bite my nails for 3 months, I will get a manicure". Something like that. You can also try to get a parent or friend to help by providing the reward. They'll keep you accountable.


ok so sometimes at night i cant sleep and im up and i get the munchies i know its not healthy to eat junkie foods especially after like 5 o clock ive tried like nectarines and fruit but it actually leaves an empty feeling in my stomach any ideas? thanks bunches! (link)

Try yogurt or smoothies. Or a nice glass of chocolate milk.


every time i eat, no matter what i eat, i feel really guilty. what is wrong with me? some of my friends say i am anorexic because i skip meals sometimes (not a lot tho) and i am always on a diet. help!!!!!!!!! (link)
You are unfrotunately anorexic. You show all the psychological symptoms.

You are not fat. Try a BMI calculator, and you will see that you are indeed not fat. You may even be underweight! ^^
