Hi there Advicenators.
The last time I logged on here I was 21. Im almost 30 now. Wow I thought I was well put together at that time. I wasn’t. I was looking for validation in being right, or proving that I had the solutions to problems. I didn’t. It makes me think about all the times I went looking for answers online and who was on the other end of that answer. Was it someone like my 21 year old self who didn’t know anything? Is it safe to pet stray cats?
My apartment complex has a little mascot... a stray cat that roams the grounds that they keep food out for. I run into him a few days a week and he's super friendly.
I'm just wondering if it's safe to pet him?
Is there anything he can have that would linger with me even if I washed my hands afterward?

It is generally safe to pet stray cats. A stray cat is a people friendly cat (most likely owned by someone before). He probably doesn't have any diseases that make it dangerous to pet him. You can tell when a tame cat is sick. They may act delirious, or cry out, or be more aggressive. With feral cats, because they tend to avoid humans, it's harder to tell. But that cat is not feral.
If the kitty is acting normal, then you really have nothing to worry about. Furthermore, most diseases can't be transferred from felines to humans. The worst thing the cat probably has is fleas, maybe ticks or ear mites. Wash your hands after you pet him, make sure you are doing laundry frequently, and vacuuming. This should discourage any flea population from developing. But petting the cat a few times a week probably won't be a problem.

I love my boyfriend a lot. However, he has many hobbies that prevent him from hanging out with me or talking to me all the time and those times when we aren't hanging out or talking, I just feel so lonely and bored. Like I don't even feel complete unless I'm at least talking to him. So I was thinking maybe if I found a new hobby I could distract myself when he's not around. The problem is I can't really ever seem to find a hobby that I can consistantly enjoy...I've tried drawing, guitar, piano, craft stuff, all kinds of sports...it just seems like no matter what I start enjoying, it gets boring in a couple of weeks. Can anyone help me find a time consuming hobby or maybe just offer tips to stick with it? I really don't want to waste this summer being bored...Thanks! (link)

Try building something, that's time consuming, take up something new, join a yoga or kickboxing class at the Y or some other gym. Start a new video game. Hang out with some friends, all girls need some time without boys around. Rearrange rooms, Clean!
Ok, really, you're only going to stick with something that you truly enjoy and, genuinely interests you. If there's absolutely nothing, make a list of things and when you get bored of one, just move on to the next. I have a long distance relationship so I find myself trying to keep occupied, and often failing, a lot. ANyways, hope this helps, if you find something super entertaining, let me know! :)

Recently, I've been curious about my family history.
I'd like to know if my family dates back to the 1700s or something, and if I had anyone famous-ish that I'm related to.
Hopefully you understand what I mean.

You can use ancestry.com. they have a trial version that lasts for a little while that you can get for free. Also, it's pretty cheap to use subscribe to it for a month or two. That website is so amazing, i tracked my family back to the 1600s just using that. Ask your parents if they'll pay for an account, it's really interesting and worth the price- which is not really that much

you can never really be sure if someone is lying about who they are on myspace.

just click browse photos and upload once youve chosen a pic.
you can copy and paste the codes in your myspace account or use the URL anywhere.
the image code (the one that says this: [IMG]code[IMG])
wont work on myspace unless you do this:
delete the [IMG] things on the code and type
then it should work.

well you should try not to fight.
but i know (from experience) that most girls suck at fighting.
try this: close your hand and make a fist. dont just scartch and pull hair. be aware of whats around you. stomach is sensitive and a good place to start. avoid faces and the temple/head area unless you want to potentially really hurt someone bad.
well anyway..if theres a certain person you want to fight try to use and alternative method to solve your problems fighting should be your last choice.

Okay, iw as driving today and sitting at a stop light, and there was this old field, and in the field there were these 2 animals, at first I thought it was a squrirel, but when i looked twice, it was like the body was this kitten, but like really really tiny baby like 2 day old kitten, but it was fuzzy and it had an abnormally long tail, the tip of its tail was fuzzy and so was the tip of its ears. im in central california, does any body knwo what it was? Hello:]! I just bought the Clairol Natural Instincts hair product. I want it to make my hair lighter, but on the box in the lower corner it says "covers gray naturally", and then in the instructions it says to add to the darkest, or grayest parts of hair. I am confused to whether it covers gray, or covers all of my hair.
I am 15, so I dont have gray hair yet. Has anyone used this, and can they explain whether it lightens my regular hair? (link)

ive used this many times. its like the only ne i ever use besause it doesnt have ammonia and it smells good. lol. so anyway its just saying that it covers gray if youhave it. you can apply to your whole head if you want to since your hair is all one color and has no grey patches.

i went on layout sites & got the code & i insterted it in my cation & the picture i wanted i got the URL code for that too. well when i do all that & update the caption the only thing that shows up is 3 dots...

go to tinypic.com and click upload pics and copy and paste the code that has [IMG] before and after the code. delete the [IMG] things in the front and back and in the beginning of the code type it doesnt even have to be that website if you have the code the thing shopuld work for you!

Ok... So this nasty girl that goes to my high school told me to charge her ipod [that she stole from someone] well she does a lot of drugs and forgot to ask for it back before the end of the school year. So i sold it.. considering she originally stole [like the piece of shit she is]i didn't think it really mattered. So, I guess I can read and comprehend them, but does it not list which finger you should use for each one listed or does it not matter? the letters would represent which string to hit.
the number would represent which fret to put your other fingers on.
so this would go f string on the 12th fret, e string on the 15th fret and then d string on the 17th fret. get it?
