Foundatin doesn't really work well for me.
Is powder any good?
What's with pressed powder and the other.. loose powder?
Do you get powder that's a shade lighter than your skin color?

Well, from what I've come to know foundation is just what it sounds like. It's a foundation for the rest of your makeup so you should get a tone that is equal to your skin to even out any blemishes. With powder I'd recommend the same thing, use the same color as your skin tone or as close as you can get.

I have very light skin and use both concealer and foundation as a base for my makeup, then I put on my powder and then I do my eyeliner and such.

If you learn how to use powder and foundation effectively (just ask one of the workers at your local makeup counter for help on tones) it can make your skin look smoother and more even. Definately good.

are "hardcore" and hardXcore" the same thing? or does "hardXcore" mean you're NOT hardcore. i'm really confused! please help.

I'm pretty sure it means the same. The X is just something people put in there because they thought it would look cool. I know straightedge is where you have 'x's on the backs of your hands so maybe it has something to do with that.

Save it to your pictures. Then, go to the icon on your aim preferences menu. Click the browse button, and click on file. Presto, icon. But it has to be 50x50

You can't do it on paint. You have to have a paintshop program where you can drain the saturation of color.

I know its always better to be yourself ive learned that. The problem is i dont know ho wot find out who I am and what to do when being myself.

Ok, think. Just relax for a second and take a seat.. and think of what you really like. Don't think of what your friends like. What your parents like. What do YOU like. What are YOUR opinions. Just focus your energy on figuring it out. What do YOU like to do. It's hard sometimes to find yourself, and sometimes it takes people years, so don't feel bad. Self discovery is part of growing up, you gotta try out several things before you get it right and find yourself. :) good luck.

Okay well this is a bit of a weird question but ah well.
I can't smile! My normal expression makes me look unhappy, even when I'm not. People always think I'm giving them a dirty look and when I try and smile at them it looks forced and bitchy. I can smile when it comes naturally but if someone asks me to, I can't. It's starting to become a real problem as everyone thinks I'm being unfriendly when I can't help it.
How can I learn to smile?

If you want a genuine smile, think of something that makes you laugh. I have the exact same problem, and if I think of some stupid inside joke my friends and I have I can smile, or at least easier than usual.

I just got my period like over a year ago and i'm going to the beach in like 3 weeks. My period is very UNEVEN. I don't know when to expect it..my question is, what am i gonna do when i have it on the beach..is there any way i can prevent it? please help

There isn't a guarantee you'll get it there, but if I were you I'd talk to my mom, and get some tampons or something. Don't worry, periods are usually uneven when you are just starting and it takes a while for the cycle to become even and predictable.

well.. I get artist block a lot, usually I just take a break.. or look at pictures of like, band members and stuff on the net. Something funny will be up and I'll get a little bit of inspiration.. read around, browse, and you'll find something inspiring.

hey evryone! this is kind of a weird question, but i need help. see, i write HORRIBLE stories! it's not because i don't have a good imagination or anything, just that i always have a bad time starting (how to start, WHAT to start on, etc.). then, when i finally do, i think up this awesome story, but then i can't stop! i have so many ideas, that in the end, since i don't have time to write it all down (my awesome story) i end up having to end it with something quick and dumb. so i have a great beginning, and a very detailed middle, then in the end i write the first and quickest thing that pops into my mind and that kills the story and it sucks. so how can i find a way to start a story in the least amount of time, and how do i control all of my ideas so that it doesn't take too long so that my story doesn't suck?

Write all of your ideas down first in a brainstorm, that way you can write about everything in order and elaborate in your own time. :)

i'm going on hols tomorrow (yay) but my lil bro always goes through my stuff!!! i'm gonna be on my period so i dont want him looking through my suitcase like he always does and finding the pads. so where can i hide them? i've had the idea of like rolling them up in my socks but i think they might be too thick or it might damage the pad or curl it up and make it hard to wear?

do you have a coat with zippers and stuff.. shove them into the pockets of those, or if your taking another carry bag put it in a spot of that. :) good luck.. ps. you could always get your parents to make your brother leave your stuff alone. *shrug*

What if someone said something offensive about you and you had a disablity, and ur friends and family didnt do much to defend you? I have the right to be mad right? I have the right to be mad at my family for not defending me right? what should i do?

well you can't hold a grudge forever, but yea I'd be pissed if one of my friends, much more my family did that. Have you confronted them about how your mad? if they have said sorry than you should forgive them, there really isn't anyway to completely heal the problem.

I'm not really a religious person so I'm really not sure what names would be appropriate to pick for him, or a name that would "flow" well with his name. i was thinking about highlighting my hair with blonde. my hair is dirty blonde and lightens up in the summer but i want my hair a little lighter. but some people have told my any thing done to your hair like dying it or highlighting it makes your hair gross and dry. i dont want to put any product in if it will make my hair look/feel weird. so if anyone can tell me if highlighting your hair does anything to it thanks.

It's different with some dyes.. I had blonde hightlights once and my hair is completely fine. Just don't go cheap on your product or bleach.. it can really fry it.

I was babysitting at a place over an hour away (I was spending the night there too), and I was charging my cell before I left, and I guess I forgot it was on and charging, so I had left it at home when I left (accidentaly) and it was charging until about noon the next day... maybe later, so if I estimated it would have been from 4p.m to maybe 12:30p.m, not quite 24 hours, but about 3 and a half hours less.

Is it bad to leave you cell on when you're charging (my cell will still charge)
And is it bad to keep it charging for so long (even if it was on accident) Thanks!

i was wondering, why are there so many groups in skool? like preps, goths, punks, metalheads, populars, secondary populars, loners, gunks(a mix of punks and goths), and just "others". it all just creates mayhem, like a popular cant go out with a goth, or they will loose all their friends. i think it is so stupid. can you explain to me why people must insist on putting people in different catigories? does it really matter?

I hate it when people catergorize me.. but what's ironic, is that YOU have put everyone into a catergory.. There is some sort of unwritten law that hangs over us all the time that we have to be catergorized but I for one insist that I am not a victim of this law and will not be controlled by it. I suggest you do the same. I advocate how I feel all the time about this.. and as much as we try we all tend to catergorize people into neat little packages.. it's just how we function, we can't live with people being unselectable.. unnamed.. It's humanly impossible. I found that you can go with it most of the time, but I know what I'm not.. I'm not a prep, I'm not a goth, maybe I'd fit into the punk catergorie.. but sincerely I believe that I am apart of the individualist catergorie.. just about everyone is against me at my school and I don't feel afraid to share my opinion when I think I'm right.. unless I could get more than just myself in trouble, because really that isn't fair. Anyway, knowing who you are is the key, you don't have to necessarily narrow yourself down to one thing, but know what you aren't.. you don't wanna be a slut, you don't wanna be a stoner.. I think that is what is most important.

no, a gothic person is someone that is also satanic.. we peoples that wear black hate it when people can't differenciate between like individualist, punk.. someone that likes music? I mean, hey, some of us like black.. *shrug* don't call someone a goth if you only take one look at them and think you can call them that, you might want to try talking to them.. because that's the only way you'll figure it out.. unless you see them carrying like a satanist book.. o_0
