Q: ive been with the same guy for 3 years. im 16, almost 17. weve been incepreibal for years and nothing could keep us away from eachother. weve broken up a few times, and evertime we always come crawling back to eachother. but last week, he told me he doesnt feel the same anymore and wants to be friends until he finds out what he wants. this is becasue weve been fighting like crazy, and things arent the same anymore. i love him so much its unreal, and i told him today im ready to be with him, and he said he doesnt want a girlfriend right now and wants to be single. i dont know what to do like i just feel like dying. ive always been a true believer of love, but this is killing me inside. we have the type of relationship where if i go somewhere he gets jealous and vice versa. i guess it came to the point that he cant take it anymore. i really cany stop crying. can anyone relate? i just need advice on anything. i would give the world for him. he said he loves me more than anything in the world. i know he does but hes i guess "doing this for himself" i need comfort, advice, anything. ive been through this so many times but i feel like this is the last draw. ive been thinking about the quote "follow love and it will flee, flee love and it will follow". im a strong believeer in that, but i just dont know if i should move on or not. im sorry if this is long by the way. he said hed let me know if he wants to be with me again. but i dont want to sit here and wait for him. idk. please help me like any advice is fine..

WOW. This EXACT scenario happened to me. That's crazy! It happened towards the beginning of may. I was just like you- crying hysterically, wondering "what if", and trying to change. The truth is, there isn't an answer to whether or not he's coming back. In my case, he did ask me back out. However, in the month that it took him to "have time to himself" I realized a lot. I realized that I too did not like the relationship that we had anymore, and that it was pointless constantly getting jealous. (Although I did have reason to be..not getting into that though) I told him to wait a few weeks, that I'd think more about it. At this point, right now, I'm really not even sure if i want to be with him anymore.

If he really does love you, he'll find his way back. My boyfriend was exactly like that ... he said he still loved and cared for me, he just needed time because he was sick of what was going on. If you two want to be together, try changing some things that go on in your relationship. He and I have been working on it, and it seems like things will be ok. If you have any questions about how I got through, or anything at all... feel free to ask.
Oh, and For me, it did feel like it was the last straw too.. It was the first time he'd ever broken up with me, which is why i felt that way.. but it wasn't. So hopefully it isn't for you either.

Q: Ohhkay. Where to start. I'm confused. It really would be great to get some older opinions on this question. My topic is: teenage love. What does everyone think of it? Because all my friends, or a fair few, will have a boyfriend who they keep for a week or a month or two and they'll be from day one, "head over heels in love". Now, I for one think that's ridiculous! They're 15/16 year olds and, in particular examples, they'll have a week or two, maybe a month of I love You after they met about 2 days previously - or online or something, and then it stops. I for one think that love can't be anything more than infatuation, but I think this has become the image of teenage love. Now I started going out with my boyfriend 11 months ago and I knew I didn't love him at the start. It was like a 15 year old crush on both parts. I didn't admit to myself I loved him until about 5 months had passed. And even then I didn't say it verbally. Now, at 11 months I feel like I can talk about it freely with him and we've never been closer; I really can't see the end right now, even though everything inevitably ends. But my parents seem to think that it won't last and I'm being ridiculous, wanting to see him so much. They say it won't last, although compared to my friends, me and my boyfriend are practically an old aged married couple - they say its ridiculous that tennagers can possibly even contemplate the meaning of the word 'love'. They also say that what I have is hardly a commitment or any kind of dedication even though I feel completely commited , which I will admit came with time (about a month or two, even more so now). I just want to know - is this true? Have any of you ever experienced or seen 'teen love' do anything but crash and burn compared to the relationships people have when slightly older? Do you think that for some people, like me, it could last? Or is it, in your opinion also, likely to end and be forgotten about? Do you think there is more of a sense of commitment when you're more mature or an equal amount?

I do believe in teenage love. I was like you before, and it took a long time for me to say i love you to my boyfriend now (of a year and six months). I dont think that all teenage relationships end. I think that your first love, true love, will remain if it is in fact true love. I think that if you're ready at the time and are committed to a relationship, and if you're willing to do what it takes to make that relationship work, I think that the relationship can survive. My sister and her husband have been together for seven years. She's 22 now. I really do believe in love..all types of love and i don't believe that adults know everything about love (im not saying us teenagers do). I don't think that there's necessarily more commitment when you're older. I think it's about how much you're willing to put into the relationship. It's about your strength, and about how much the relationship means to you.

Q: So I only told one person. I told my best friend Beth about how I like my sister's boyfriend's brother, Jesse, and she told someone who told someone who told someone else, blah blah blah... You know how it goes.

Now the entire school knows it. All of junior high, all the freshmen, sophmores, seniors... Everyone. People I have never heard of know it. Even Jesse knows it. I'm so embarrassed, but I'm sorta glad it happened because I know that I never would have found the guts to tell him I like him.

He's a grade ahead of me. He's in 8th grade. I'm only a sevy that no one knows. But I see him all the time.

Anyway, I keep catching him looking at me now, and then he looks away when I look at him. And then once in the hallway switching classes for first period, Beth and I passed him.

I looked down at my feet sort of pretending like I had no idea he was there, but Beth saw him and she told me later that he turned around, saw me, and just froze and stared at me then walked off once we passed.

Then we got to first period, sat down and Beth said "I think he likes you!" Then I said "Yeah, more like he thinks I'm a freak."

Am I just being paranoid or do you think Beth may have been right?

i think that he may like you. I used to have this happen to me a lot with guys. [now im taken and i dont really look at guys] But, when we would make frequent eye contact like the two of you do it'd turn out that they liked me. But, don't get your hopes up. [=

Q: i tried to log in with my correct email address and password, but it kept on bringing me back to the myspace homepage. and i retyped my email address AND password to make sure i didn't make any errors..but it still couldn't work.

myspace is retarded. always has been, probably always will be. its not just your myspace, it happens to me all the time.. i'm starting to hate it now, if you couldnt tell. Go to tom's myspace, if you know the link, and message him. Although he doesnt respond to you, he'll read it, or someone who manages the site will.

Q: I need some ideas on how to put the romance back into my relationship. We aren't how we used to be and I want that back. Ideas?

you could go to the beach at night, just by yourselves and walk along the beach, and then lay down and look at the stars and contemplate the world, and it's meaning to both of you. hammocks at night are amazing. if you guys want, you two can go to a park that's really pretty and watch the sunset. maybe the key to being more romantic for some, is to become closer sexually. (NOT FOR ALL, AND IM NOT TELLING U TO DO ANYTHING U DONT WANT TO!) but some relationships can be closer after going further than before. (not saying have sex.) you two could go on a vacation together. you two could also watch home video's. just tell him/her everyday how much you care about them, and another way is to be more open- emotionally.

Well, first if you really feel that concentrating on getting into a good highschool is the right thing to be doing, do it. Just tell him that you need time because you are dealing with alot latley and maybe sometime in the future you guys could go out...

If you really like him, tell him.. you should tell him that you like him.. but you dont want you 2 to start drifting apart like normal.. you want to stay close..and maybe, possibly go out wit him!

Q: Just a few days ago my boyfriend bought me flowers just randomly. Well i got some pictures of us developed and had him pick out his fav. one. Q: Over the summer I was a counselor at a camp with my friends. This other guy I know also was a counselor. He goes to my school and I started liking him. Turns out he likes me to (he told my friend). He says he doesn't want me to know (too late!) and he doesn't want to ask me out because asking people out is stupid to him. His last two girlfriends were both extremely popular and deemed the 'hotties'. I'm just worried he doesn't want to go out with me because I am not popular. Now I'm not a geek, I'm pretty high up there...but not as high as his ex-girlfriends. Any advice would help.
