Well the other night, I had my boyfriend over at my house and we were up late talking. I decided to model some really short shorts I have for him. I've never worn shorts before for him so I thought it'd be a nice treat. So I put them on and asked his opinion. He said they looked nice, but I could tell he had other ideas. I asked him what he really thought and he asked if I wanted him to be honest. I said yes, and he said I have a bit of cellulite which would put some people off but he still likes my "rear end." Of course I was very hurt by this and went straight to bed. In the morning he had written me a note saying he was sorry and he loved how I looked, he was just saying that some people wouldn't like it, but he still thought I was hot.
Yes.. I know he apologised, and it really is no big deal, but my boyfriend has a tendency to put me down [without realizing it at times] Like once he told me I shouldn't eat so much junk food. Also he told me once I could do with losing weight (I had asked him if I needed to) He did apologise for that saying he was wrong, but still. I guess I'm learning now not to ask him things I know I won't like the answer to!
What hurt more was today I asked if he'd prefer me to be more like this girl we know called Bessie. Bessie is the stereotypical teenage male's fantasy..blonde, tanned, tall, etc. (everything I'm not!) She did modelling for some sports mag. He had liked her previously. He said no he wouldn't, but then I asked if she had liked him back before we went out would he have chosen her over me? He said maybe he would've, but he said she'd never have been interested in him and he didn't like her enough to make a move. But still, he's with me, why aren't I good enough?
What do I do? Am I making a big deal? He knows I'm insecure. He does genuinely feel bad when he upsets me but I don't get why he keeps doing it?

Omg. I would never let my boyfriend act like such a prick. Im sorry but jeezzz. How rude! He needs to understand that girls are very sensitive and saying things like that makes us feel terrible & doesnt make us motivated to look like somebody else. You should talk to him about it and tell him to think about what he says before he opens his mouth.

do not make out with a retainer.. that would be so weird and his tongue would feel the top part and that would probably really freak him out.

i'm dark skinned, and african american. I'm dark, but not that dark.i'm dark like Kelly Rowland dark. But my question is do boys[caucasian,afr.am,and hispanics] find lighter skinned girls more attractive than darker skinned. PLEASE BE HONEST in your answer. I honestly wish that I was black. They are so beautiful and I think black guys are hot. It just depends on the guy. Whatever his preference is. Some guys will never date white girls because they simply don't find them attractive. Im sure your fine
Me and my boyfriend have been dating about a month and a half. And I love him already. And I've never been in love. It's real. I haven't told him yet because I'm scared he won't say it back and that worries me. He almost told me that he did after like two weeks but then another guy kissed me and everything got messed up. But it's way better now that I mean it. I want to tell him, I don't know if I should yet. I mean I know I love him though.
I wouldn't tell him, because honestly, I don't really think its love after such a short time. People tend to thin they are in love when it is actually just lust or a super strong like. But anyways it might scare him a bit so you should definitely wait a little longer.

You may be more reserved or something than your friends. Right now most guys find it easier to just go for the crazy outgoing girls.. You will get noticed, now or later, believe me.

16/F, You know that typical story of if the most popular guy likes a girl who is considered a geek/loser that everyone likes to pick on and his friends don't approve by saying that you're reputation will be ruined etc. Then his friends would give them both a hard time in school. I'm in that type of situation and I'm wondering why does this happen?
if your a popular jock, you are expected to have a popular cheerleader girlfriend right? it happens because his friends are worried that the boy will make them lose their 'status' as being popular. it is so retarded i know.
Over the summer I lost a few pounds. I wasn't big before or anything I just kind of toned down. Well, a few guys have noticed and commented to me. My boyfriend gets really jealous when anyone (by one I mean guys. I don't know what to do about it. It isn't that big of a problem to where we need to break up but it upsets me when I see him like this. Today, I saw one of my really good guy friends that I didn't have a chance to see during the summer. We talked for a few min. and he asked me if I lost weight and I said yes and he told me that I looked great. My bf was standing with us and when my friend said what he said, my bf walked away. Make sure he knows you still love him, and just try to talk it out with him. Your getting in shape, and people are just complementing you. If he acts too jealous, I think you should start seeing other people who can accept what your doing for yourself.
