advice

if you can't get out of the house what are some really good cardio exercises you can do for 30 minutes? is investing in an exercise video a good idea? if soo..which ones?

Well, i don't know much about exercise videos but dance videos will def. get your heart rate up! ever heard of dance dance revolution? its for play station but it is seriously the most fun ever! and you will def. break a sweat after doing it for only 10 minutes! Things you could do w/o a video type thing are: jumping rope, running stairs, brisk walking, jumping jacks, running in place, and push-ups (suprisingly). Good Luck!

i want to lose 10 lbs in 3 months cuz on my bday i am geting money adn i want to buy clothes but i want to look cute in them i am 118 and i waer size 5 but i am not satisified.oh i am short i am like 5'3 ish.. My question for you is this: A) is that unrealistic? B) anyideas on how i could do that?

well, for your height losing 10 pounds would be too much. Five is a healthier goal. Start by cutting out soda and drinking more water, they say you should have 8 glasses a day but start with 5 or 6 and it'll come. Walk around your neigborhood/street for 20-30 min everyday. Weightlifting helps you slim down a lot too. But if you start lifting only do it for a certain time, because after a while you'll get bulky muscles and i'm not sure if that's the look your going for....and if you wanna look really cute in your clothes start doing crunches....your clothes will look better if you don't have a tummy :o) hope i helped! Do diet pills really work? I know there not healthy or anything. But i was thinking that if I went to my doctor they could perscribe me some healthy diet pills. Has anyone ever took them or a family/friend? And did it actually work. And yes I DO need to lose weight. Not a little about 100 pounds or so by next september or december. --And im also talking about the diet pills you can by in the stores. Thanks!

If you go to a doctor they probably won't even think of recommending diet pills for weight loss. Just excercise, limit your amount of servings, and stay away from saturated fat and sugar. Good Luck!

Ok, I have 2 years to lose 100 pounds or so! I need help though lol. What is the best diet south beach,atkins, ect. Like what should I do. And do you think it would take 2 years or shorter? And what should i NOT eat. Thanks if you can help me!

Just cut the stuff high in saturated fat or sugar. If you start running or walking you'll shed pounds very quickly. One of my friends lost 70 pounds over the summer because he started a physical activity!!! Good Luck!

ok is there a way u can get ur arms like..more strong like more shape cuz mine have fat that needs to go..like wut helps? dont say pull ups..lol cant do those ..but if neone knows ne work out ways like explain it ..um that would help thx

Using free weights works great! But you need to start very small. Start out by doing one set of lateral raises with a can (soup, veggies, whatever you have) in each hand. Do this every other day. If this is too light for you to start with (meaning you feel no soreness whatsoever) then use 2 or 3 pound weights. Do your raises every other day until you don't feel sore at all. then you can move up your weights one pound.

someone told me that if water is cold it fastens up your metabolism more then warm water would, is that true? also what other things speed up your metabolisn..thank you

it only speeds up your metabolism a little....one thing that will def. give you a faster metabolism is running (especially in cold weather, although it may hurt your throat). as far as food goes there really isn't anything that makes it faster....except for weird "witch doctor" stuff, which is NOT recommened!!!!

` ok im startin a diet tomorrow and my goal is to lose 100 pounds by next school year! how long would it take if i do all this..and do u think its a good idea/goal and what else can i do.

30 sit ups
30 squats
i jog and play football in gym and we do warm ups
i take walks after dinner
(( i do 30 sit ups and squats after each meal ))


- i dont eat pasta/noodles

what else can i do that might help me??

oh and i dont eat lunch and i drink diet pop and water.

With your squats, sit-ups, and PE regime I think it will work fine! Just make sure that your walks after dinner are at least half an hour.

As for dieting just make sure you eat a little bit of everything. If this isn't structured enough here's what you can do: Eat 4 servings of grains, 2 of fruit, 2 of vegetables, 2 dairy, and 2 protein. (For example, you could have cereal w/ milk and a piece of fruit for breakfast; a sandwich with cold cuts and carrots for lunch; and for dinner you could have some kind of meat with a roll, salad, a glass of milk and fruit for desert). Drink lots of water and try to stay away from candy, chips, cookies, and especially soda. Taking soda out of your diet will help you get in shape soooooo much faster! One last thing: don't skip any meals!!!!! This actually makes you gain weight.
