I came here to answer computer questions. (This used to say "...and nothing more.")

What I meant was, I don't know how much help I would be with other things... NOT that I would be upset if you asked a non computer question!

I have a android tablet. I always play my volume very low. So I know my speaker isn't blown. My sound quit the other day. I don't want to send it away to be fixed until
I'm sure it is broken. Is there any way I can fix it?

Hi there,

If your tablet is running Android 5.0 (Lollipop), then this is a known bug that they are working on:

... if not, then the sensor in the headphone jack my be stuck so that it thinks you have headphones connected. Give this a try:

Plug in your headphones... do you have sound? If so, unplug and re-plug a few times to see if the headphone jack switch will unstick.

If you have no sound through the earphones either, then go into the sound menu in system settings and see if anything is muted. If so, un-mute it and see how you do.

Please let me know how you make out with this.

All the best!

Thank you, this helped but I figured out the problem. Afterwards it broke completely as I thought. But it just went dead and I had a sticker blocking the speakers and my ear buds we're broke. I'm stupid
