Does anyone know any good free virus protection programs I can download for my computer? I've tried Ad-Ware and Advanced System care and it only slowed my system down even more. I want something that will delete all trojans, backdoors and worms. Right now I'm running off CCleaner which only deletes temporary files.

Avast is a good free antivirus. You can download it here:

I would still run some of the anti malware programs (like ad-ware or spybot) from time to time though, since they seem to deal with other kinds of threats primarily.
