advice

I have an interview at H&M on Sunday and I am undecided on what would be best to wear. Would it be more appropriate to wear smart clothes (e.g. black skirt, white blouse etc) or slightly 'edgier' more fashionable clothes considering it is a fashion chain? Would they be more impressed if I wore their own clothes?

Additionally, has anyone had an interview with them before? What kind of questions do they ask?

Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

I got an interview there, but I didn't actually turn up because I got a job a few days before it. Anyway!.. what you should wear is smart casual clothing. Don't be afraid to jazz it up a little, with fitted shirts/skirts/trousers, add a waistcoat. belt, heels - whatever you're comfortable in. Whatever you do, don't go for all dark colours. If you wear something bright (shirt/belt/etc), you will be remembered - and it's also been proven to put both you and the interviewer in a happier mood! Don't forget about your hair - don't have it all over your face.
They will ask you questions like why you want the job, what experience have you had with customer service/customers/retail/etc, what would you do if *insert problem here*... you may also be asked about the history of H&M. This has happened to me twice at clothing stores, so do a little research on their website beforehand.
Don't worry over the interview itself, as stores like this are generally laid back and the questions are quite basic.
I wish you the best of luck!
