advice

so there is this guy im interested in and i swear i seriously suck at flirting.
i want him to be able to talk to me.and notice me. and get to know me, what should i do? he seems kinda not really shy.

and when the conversation dies down, simply wait a couple of minutes of silence and just say "wow, we're so exciting" that always creates a lighter mood. Or just make a comment, then it could turn into a conversation.
