oh yeah - i have a treadmill and workout videos [tae bo, yoga, pilates, you name it! haha]

I lost 45 lbs in about a year and I'm a bit underweight now, so I actually went a bit too far. My advice is to just stay in your BMI range. You can figure this out by using a basic BMI calculator.

Pick any of those and type in your information. It should give you a number and a range of what you should be in. 18.5 or less is underweight, 18.5 to about 22 is average weight and anything above 25 is overweight and anything above 30 is obese. You always want to stay in that 18.5-25 range. Anything more or less could be considered unhealthy. Just a reminder though, you have to take into consideration that muscle weighs more than fat. Losing 20-30 lbs in 17 weeks is not very healthy. You should be losing it gradually. Anyways, here are a few ideas and tips.

-diet and exercise go hand in hand. don't ignore one. do both. exercise for at least an hour a day.
-drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
-give yourself a calorie limit. you can google this for more information. anywhere between anything around 2000 calories a day is good for a teenager who is active. you should probably add more or less depending on your body type. don't hesitate to ask your doctor how many calories you should have.
-on food labels, watch your calories, grams of fat, grams of saturated fat, grams of sugar, and your sodium intake. too much of any of those won't help you lose weight.
-basically eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full.
-to keep a fast metabolism, eat every few hours. eat 6 small meals during the day instead of 3 large meals.
-make sure to incorporate lots of fruits & veggies in your diet.
-keep yourself focused and motivated and you should see the results you want.

I would definitely suggest talking to your family doctor about a weight loss program that fits you. Everyone is different so everyone will see a variety of weight loss results.

-hope that helped!♥
