Lately my school has been talking to us about abortion. They think it's wrong and I'm not sure about it. I'm NOT pregnant, but there are girls in my school who are and each of them has said they wish they would have had an abortion. I think it's wrong, but it could also be for the best if one was to have an abortion.

Please voice your opinions on abortion. I would love to hear everything you have to say about it.

I personally wouldn't have an abortion, however, there are some cases in which I find it acceptable.

If a girl is raped, she should be able to decide if she wants to abort the baby or not. The baby would be a reminder every day of her life that she was forced to have sex against her will. Futhermore, she could have attracted diseases that could be passed down the the child.

I also think abortion is acceptable if the mother's life is at risk. If her body isn't strong enough to have the baby, she shouldn't be forced to have it. If she dies during delivery the baby would die also. It's best to save at least one life.

Any other time, I am completely against abortion. If you make a mistake, you need to live with it.
