my name's rebecca. i doubt you're even mildly interested in the irrelevant aspects of my life, so i'll get to the point. i'm not a professional psychologist nor do i pretend to be, yet i'll try to give you advice based on the common sense that, unlike many others on here, i own ;]

advice

at night i cant go to bed!! my mom wont let me take any medicines cuz im only 13. "happy thots" no longer help. is there any programs or something i can get to help me sleep. i got this sleeping cd to help u sleep but i get scared still..ive had this my whole life and i get scared SOO much!

It used to take me a long time to fall asleep also. This yoga instructor once taught me this trick that actually works for me, though. What you do is clench your whole body, from your shoulders to your fists to your toes, hold for about 5 full seconds, then release. As you release, just imagine all the thoughts in your head going out as well. Do it several times over and over. It sounds stupid, but when you have too many thoughts in your head, you cant concentrate on sleeping because of whatevers worrying you, or exciting you, or keeping you awake.

Different things work for different people, but that worked for me. Good luck :)
