kay well my new years revolution this year was to learn how to do a slit by the end of the year.
Im pretty flexible but i cat manage to do a split.
are there are easier ways to do a split or to let you thighs MORE flexible without hurting becasue im pretty scared of my legs sticking in one place lol.

You really need to just practice and eventually you'll get better. At the beginning of the year, my "splits" were like 3 feet high and I just couldn't stretch anymore. Now, I'm almost on the ground. If you try and do a split once a day, or even just a few times a week, I guarantee you'll improve a lot. It's like running; the more you do it, the faster and longer distance you'll be able to run.
